MY POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH WENT OUT. I COULD NOT PUT MY RIGHT REAR WINDOW UP. I WENT TO MY LOCAL TOYOTA DEALER WHERE I GET MY MAINTENANCE DONE AND THIS WAS THERE ASSESSMENT. I SEE TODAY ON LINE THAT TOYOTA IS RECALLING VEHICLES DUE TO THE POWER WINDOW SWITCHES MALFUNCTIONING! I CHECKED AND MY MODEL YEAR IS NOT ON THE RECALL. MALFUNCTIONING RIGHT REAR WHEEL SPEED SENSOR CAUSES ABS AND VSC LIGHTS TO GO ON AND WHEN LIGHTS ARE ON THE ABS AND VSC DO NOT FUNCTION. WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO REPLACE THE RIGHT REAR HUB, BEARING, SENSOR AND HARNESS. VEHICLE HAD ONLY 52939 MILES ON IT AND WAS OFF WARRANTY SO WOULD COST OVER 1000.00 TO REPAIR. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 TOYOTA SCION XB. THE CONTACT STARTED THE IGNITION AND ATTEMPTED TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL HOWEVER, HERE WAS NO RESPONSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO ADVISED THAT THE STEERING COMPUTER WAS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. NEEDED TO CROSS, BE COASTED ACROSS 3 LANES OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA FREEWAY TO THE EDGE OF THE ROAD. CAR WOULDN'T START, APPEARED THAT BATTERY WAS LOW ON POWER. HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. INDICATED THAT THE MECHANISM TO DETECT FUEL LEVEL WITHIN THE TANK HAD BECOME STUCK AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. I WILL HAVE OWNED THE CAR FOR 4 YEARS NEXT MONTH AND IT HAS LESS THAN 35,000 MILES.
