EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION AND THIS IS THE SECOND ENGINE THAT HAS BLOWN IN MY CAR. THE FIRST PROBLEM WAS WHEN THE PISTONS BLEW UP MY ENGINE AND NOW HERE WE GO AGAIN WITH THE PISTONS IN THE SECOND MOTOR. I CALLED SCION CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SPOKE WITH CAMILLE AND SHE BASICALLY TOLD ME I AM STUCK WITH THIS BAD MOTOR THAT I JUST HAD PUT IN ON APRIL 7, 2017.

I WENT IN THE FOLLOWING DAY TO RETRIEVE BELONGINGS FROM MY CAR AND SPOKE WITH SERVICE MANAGER RAY. HE SHOWED ME THE HOLE AND A PART OF MY ENGINE THAT CAME OFF AND WAS FOUND UNDER THE HOOD SOMEWHERE, CAUSING THE HOLE- THE CONNECTING ROD. THE CONNECTING ROD WAS GOUGHED UP PRETTY BADLY AND I SAW ANOTHER PIECE OF IT STUCK DOWN SOMEWHERE. THE HOLE HAD WHAT LOOKED LIKE METAL SHAVINGS IN IT AND I ASKED IF THAT WAS WHY THE ROD WAS GOUGHED UP AND IF THAT'S WHAT THE METAL SHAVINGS WERE FROM AND RAY NODDED YES AND SAID MOST LIKELY YES. EVERY TIME THE TIRES NEED TO BE FIX, ONE OR MORE OF THE THE LUG NUTS AND THE STUDS BREAK WHILE TRYING TO TAKE THEM OUT. THIS PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES, HAVING TO REPLACE 7 LUGS AND STUDS IN ALL 4 TIRES. IT IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE A VEHICLE WITH FEWER LUGS THAN THE ONES RECOMMENDED BY NHTSA.

MY DAUGHTER HAD A CUT ON HER HEAD, HUGE BUMP ON FOREHEAD, BLACK EYE, HUGE BUMP ON TOP OF HER HEAD. HER PASSANGER FRACTURED THREE FINGER AND HAD HER NAILS RIPPED OFF. SHE WILL BE HAVING SURGERY. WE HAD THE PASSENGER AIR BAG REPLACED DUE TO THE TAKATA RECALL IN NOVEMBER.

EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION, STARTING AT 86K MILES. USING 7 QUARTS OF OIL EVERY 3,000 MILES, WITH A STARTING CAPACITY OF 3.8 QUARTS. THIS MEANS I'M DOING 2 COMPLETE OIL CHANGES EVERY 3K MILES. TOYOTA DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS NORMAL FOR THAT CAR TO USE SO MUCH OIL. OIL LIGHT CAME ON ABOUT HALF WAY THROUGH MY LAST OIL CHANGE (1700 MILES) CHECK THE DIP STICK AND IT WAS COMPLETELY DRY.
