IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A SIDE COLLISION WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH. THE AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES TO THE ARM AND LEFT SHOULDER. MY SCION XB 2008 MODEL WAS RECALLED A COUPLE YEARS AGO FOR EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION. AND I WENT TWICE FOR SERVICE AT THE TOYOTA OF NAPERVILLE, I WAS TOLD TO COME BACK AFTER A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF MILES TRAVELED, SO THAT THEY COULD RECALL THE CAR THAT OBVIOUSLY HAD A PROBLEM WITH CONSUMING OIL. THIS WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO APPEASE DUE TO THE DISTANCE OF MY WORK FROM MY HOME. I HAVE TO TRAVEL 30 MILES A DAY

I CANNOT ACCESS THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WITH THE KEY AS THERE IS NO KEY HOLE PROVIDED ON THAT SIDE. IF SO MANY OF TOYOTA'S DOOR ACTUATORS ARE FAILING LIKE THIS, THEY SHOULD RECALL AND REPLACE THE POORLY MANUFACTURED VERSIONS THEY INSTALLED ON THE VEHICLES SINCE THE PARTS ARE SO EXPENSIVE NOT TO MENTION LABOR. ON AUG 16, 2018 @ 6:30 AM WHILE EXITING AT THE GARAGE IN MY APT HEADING TO WORK; I STARTED THE ENGINE OF MY CAR AND IT WAS OKEY. I STARTED TO DRIVE ON THE RAMP ON THE DRIVE WAY THE ENGINE STOPS.
