On May 16 2025 I started my truck and all the lights started flashing on my cluster( I took pictures) I drove down the street in my vehicle and it put itself into park. I drove back to my shop and called the dealership to make an appointment along with enterprise Rent-A-Car. I had the rental vehicle from May 16 through May 22. After the ABS module recall was performed on May 21, 2025, my 2021 Ram
... Rebel began experiencing electrical and mechanical failures affecting multiple vehicle systems. While driving at approximately 7 mph, the vehicle unexpectedly shifted itself into Park. Just like the separate occasion, the parking brake engaged while the vehicle was in motion. These events pose a major safety hazard. Since the recall, the following issues have occurred: •SERVICE BRAKES: Parking brake engaging while driving; ABS-related instability. •POWER TRAIN: Vehicle attempting to shift into Park and 4WD High without input. •ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: Dash lights flicker; HVAC system changes temperature settings on its own (e.g., jumping to 72°F); ongoing parasitic battery draw. •ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL: Loss of system coordination and erratic vehicle behavior. •FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM: Sudden drop in fuel range readings (e.g., from 180 miles to 23 miles instantly). •VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL: Unexpected shifting and control changes during low-speed driving. •UNKNOWN OR OTHER: General system instability, rough driving behavior, and degraded performance. I was by the dealership when it went into park so I pulled in. The dealership has acknowledged the update was performed but refuses to inspect the truck until July 8, despite the escalating safety concerns. I believe the ABS module or its software update is causing communication failures across the vehicle’s CAN network, affecting critical systems. This vehicle is not safe to drive in its current condition. I was told because I did not purchase the vehicle at Wilder that I was not eligible for a loaner vehicle.Read more

I need to preface this by stating I fundamentally don’t understand how an issue that directly results in the failure of inspection which dictates road safety/emissions quality and was identified by two mechanics as a part known to fail cannot be under a recall. The part addressed is #14001-3TA1E but more specifically it is an issue with the value position sensor. It is a small part which dicate
... s whether the Swirl or tumble control activates which triggers the P2004. If you look up the code it’s common side effects are as follows: Decrease in low-end engine torque: You may notice a decrease in acceleration, particularly at low RPM levels. Engine surging or sputtering: The engine may run unevenly, particularly when starting up. Sluggishness: The vehicle may feel less responsive to the throttle. Difficulty reaching higher speeds: You may find it challenging to accelerate quickly or reach your desired speed. Rough idle: The engine may run unevenly and potentially stall at low speeds or while idling. 2. Decreased Fuel Economy: The IMRC system's primary function is to optimize the air/fuel mixture for different driving conditions. When it's not functioning correctly due to being stuck open, it can negatively impact fuel efficiency. 3. Check Engine Light (CEL) Illumination: The Check Engine Light (or Service Engine Soon Light) will likely illuminate when the P2004 code is triggered. This is often the first indicator that something is wrong. 4. Potential for Severe Engine Damage: This is the most critical side effect. If the hardware for the IMRC butterfly valve plates becomes loose and falls into the engine, it can cause severe engine damage or even engine failure. This being said you would think it would be an easily replacable part. Not in the slightest you have to buy an entire manifold 1300 msrp through nissan with no gurantee of it fixing the light. I have had instances of stalling / sluggishness since it has come on. This seems imparitive to vehicle safety.Read more

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? When driving down a busy road, the car completely stalled with loss of power steering, unable to accelerate or brake, power completely lost in car with all safety lights illuminated on the dashboard. Eventually brakes returned, able to stop car. Unable to restart and loss of power for windows. After
... several attempts, restarted car with warning lights still present- moved to side of Road. Currently at dealer for inspection- stated that problem was "digital crash input code failure" and that there is not a fix for this at this time. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Car stalled with complete loss of control in the middle of traffic, while accelerating at approximately 15-25 mph. This could have caused an accident, but luckily did not. However, car was stalled in traffic for about 30 mins and unable to move car at all- blocking traffic on busy street. If happened on highway, could have been much worse and also had the potential to cause an accident. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The problem was confirmed by dealer, and said that there is "no fix". According to them, all recalls have been fixed in this vehicle prior to incident and should have fixed this problem by replacing the battery. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Vehicle has been inspected by both dealership service and Chrysler/ Stellantis engineers. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? There was 1 warning light message about "EV system hybrid control" needs service, but disappeared after 30 seconds and this appeared about 1 week prior to incident.Read more

The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor on my 2022 Ram 2500 failed, causing multiple system malfunctions. It triggered inaccurate Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) codes and showed abnormally high idle hours that do not reflect actual vehicle use. This defect is tied to a known issue identified by Stellantis in Technical Service Bulletin #18-002-24, which acknowledges improper MAF sensor calibration or compa
... tibility on vehicles like mine. The bulletin was verbally confirmed by the dealership as applying to my truck. This faulty sensor caused emissions system errors, degraded engine performance, and may impact emissions compliance. There was a persistent check engine light, reduced fuel economy, and the risk of engine derating. The problem was reproduced and confirmed by Encore Chrysler (Mobile, AL), an authorized Ram dealership. Stellantis has agreed to cover the repair under Goodwill, but the issue appears systemic. Safety was potentially compromised by inaccurate sensor data that may cause sudden engine derate or failure during operation. Additionally, the incorrect idle hour readings could affect warranty determinations and long-term diagnostics if not corrected. The check engine light first appeared on May 21, 2024. The vehicle has been out of service since May 22, 2024, and repairs are still pending. The MAF sensor and affected systems are available for inspection upon request. This issue may affect a broader set of Ram 2500 trucks, and given the manufacturer’s internal bulletin, it may merit a recall review.Read more

Bought a 2024 Rav 4 on Oct 4 ,2024. Has a little over two thousand miles in it now. On two different occasions the vehicle has lurched pulled forward while I was sitting stopped foot on the brake. The first incident I was stopped at a stop sign waiting to enter a highway. All of a sudden the motor revved up and vehicle began lurching forward the brake I was pushing on would not stop the vehicl
... e. I was dragged from the stop sign to the highway. I had to turn the key off to stop the Vehicle. The second incident was about a week later. I was stopped at a red light. Foot again on the brake. Suddenly the engine began to rev up and lurching against the brake. I immediately turned the engine off this time. Finally got the vehicle towed to Postoak Toyota in Midwest City where I purchased it. Postoak had told me three different times that I would have to to pay the tow fee or drive the unsafe vehicle to them. About an hour and a half drive. Finally Triple AAA said I was covered through Postoak. Had vehicle towed on May 31 2025. On June 3,2025 I was informed by a Postoak mechanic there was nothing found wrong with my vehicle. I was informed the vehicle has a start stop feature and letting my foot off brake when stopped would cause a small lurch. What happened to me twice in the Rav 4 was no small lurch. Literally dragging me with my foot squarely on the brake. I drove an Escape for six years which had the same start stop feature. Never did the Escape lurch forward.Read more

The primary issue involves the large, full-wall slide-out system on our motorhome. Since new, the front portion of the slide has shifted outward during travel, even while fully retracted. This led to the slide binding and becoming inoperable. The manufacturer attempted to fix the issue twice at their factory service center. Their most recent solution involved providing a makeshift brace—essenti
... ally a stick—intended to wedge the front of the slide in place during transit. Since then, the issue has progressed. The rear of the slide is now also moving outward during travel, causing the front brace to fall out. As a result, the front shifts again, and the slide continues to bind. This presents a serious safety risk. The slide can extend beyond the vehicle’s sidewall while in motion, increasing the chance of contact with nearby vehicles or objects. It also poses a structural integrity concern and could prevent safe egress in an emergency. There are no warning lights or error messages. The problem has been present since delivery, and has been inspected and documented by the manufacturer, but remains unresolved. The component is available for inspection upon request. This is a recurring and worsening failure affecting safety and basic function. Reports from other owners suggest this may be a broader design or manufacturing defect.Read more

About 2 years ago, my Veloster suddenly started using oil and began knocking. No check engine light or other indicators came on. I had it inspected by a mechanic who confirmed that there was a problem in the lower half of the motor and it would have to be replaced. I was aware that other Veloster owners had been experiencing the same issue. I found recall spawned by a class-action which extended t
... he engine's warranty to 15 years and 150,000 miles, but the website said my Veloster was not covered by the recall. I called Hyundai and they also said that my Veloster was not covered by the recall. I was very frustrated. People I know that sell Hyundai vehicles remained hopeful that Hyundai would come around and recall my car too, but I do not think that is going to happen since it has been nearly 2 years now. I have a 2016 Hyundai Veloster R-Spec (which is a turbo model) and it has the same engine as other turbo models that were recalled. I am very frustrated that this issue is widely known and Hyundai seems to have gotten away with creating a vehicle that's longevity is subpar from any I have ever owned. It recently dawned on me to ask AI for help and it recommended I contact and you, the NHTSA, so at the very least it is documented and patterns can be seen where this problem continues to occur with vehicles that were not part of the recall. I was very particular and admit about the maintenance on my Veloster. There is no reason that this car should be scrapped after experiencing a detrimental engine failure less than 7 years and 125,000 miles from when it was purchased brand new. I still have the car, which has been sitting in my driveway since before I had it towed to the mechanic about the engine problems.Read more

I’ve been experiencing power loss and surges/RPMs drop for nearly a month now while driving at various speeds. Each time, the iStop indicator comes on. This is a serious safety concern. I am extremely worried that the vehicle could stall, especially while my family is in the car, while driving on a busy highway. Undoubtedly, this issue presents a significant risk to the safety of drivers and p
... assengers. I am requesting your assistance in initiating an official recall from the manufacturer for this component failure. Based on my research, I am not the only one experiencing this grave issue. Many others have reported similar problems on forums like Reddit, which is proof that this is a widespread issue.Read more

About 24 months back the sunroof curtain of my BMW X1 started having problems when I retract or operate it. It used to make stretching noises when I tried to open my sunroof and after a few times I heard a crackling noise and before I can stop it the curtain tore. Initially it was a small tear, so it did not bother much but over time the curtain completely left the guide/rail on one side and start
... ed sagging. Given it is a sunroof the curtain is as long as the vehicle and so now it is sagging to a point that it obstructs driver's visibly in back mirror. BMW won't do anything about it saying it is out of warranty and ultimately to avoid accidents I had to remove the curtain completely. I also tried getting it fixed, but the issue is not just the curtain but the rails of the curtain which is a non-replaceable part :( I would have to replace full sunshade assembly which is upwards of $1600. Also, it seems to be a common problem with these vehicles. Here are more examples of it: [XXX] . Please help me and other drivers be safe on the road. I lost power steering and stabilitrak appeared on the truck screen. I turned off the vehicle engine twice at different lights, but power steering did not come back and stabilitrak kept appearing. I recovered power steering after being at a store called Doorbuster for an hour or more. I was lucky I had gotten off the highway. This incident has happen in two other occasions.
