My Ford Fusion eco boost 2017 had a faulty shifter cable bushing. When the vehicle turned off, parked (not on a hill thankfully due to safety and rolling backwards) thinking it was in park, it would not start and not go into gear and the vehicle would not shift into gears and the wrench light came on shift malfunction light came open. This was inspected, verified, and repaired at the Brandon For
... d dealer when we had to get the car towed to them. All service for this car has been by Brandon Ford. They installed new bushings and cap, adjusted cable and cleaned codes, and retested as ok after repair. When researched we noted a recall on Ford Fusions with this same problem for safety issues putting owners at risk due to confusion of car in what gear it was actually in despite thinking it was in park, may have been in reverse if car was on but if car off would not start. The recall campaign number for the Ford Fusion (2013-29`17) shifter cable bushing issue is 22S43/22V413. This recall was issued on June 2022 addressing the safety of preventing the transmission from shifting properly and causing a vehicle to roll unexpectedly when parked. I had the car repaired on 04/29/25 and paid in full on my Discover card $890.72. I submitted documentation to Ford but they denied reimbursement for my claim. Would you be so kind to advise me how to register my VIN for this recall and get Ford reimbursement? Fuel injectors. It is available for inspection. (Please!)This is the second failing of an engine, fuel or Powertrain issue. The car was in motion and suddenly just lost power. The first time it occurred about a month after purchased brand new in 2022, the car was coming from a stop light into the middle of an intersection. Driver was thankfully able to glide to side of road since it was early mor
... ning and had it towed to dealership. Second time it happened approximately 2 1/2 years later May 29, 2025, the car once again lost engine power at an intersection. Driver, again ,was in a fortunate position to glide off road from a right turn lane. If driver had been in left lanes going speed (55) this would not have ended as well. The car would not restart. Car was towed to dealership. The dealership confirmed that this was a known issue and there was a TSB out. However, there are no kits available to fix it at the moment. And we have no time frame for getting our car back and they have not provided a loaner. The vehicle has only been inspected by the Hyundai dealership. There were absolutely NO warnings before either incidents. However, once the car was in possession at the dealership, we received a phone call from Hyundai BlueLink saying we had a Powertrain issue, which did not make sense since our car had been sitting for two weeks unserviced. If this was related to the same issue they were at least two weeks late. Dealership did not confirm Powertrain issue or how anything would be resolved.Read more

There are two problems we have had for many miles. 1. CVT- completely gone at 120K miles but we have had problems almost from the beginning (lease then bought). We were told by the Infiniti dealership they couldn't find anything (30-40K miles approximately) so we let it go thinking maybe it was the carpet mat rubbing up against the gas pedal that made the engine scudder, limp then go fast. Dealers
... hip is asking $7K + to replace. -Safety wise the acceleration was lessened. Think of merging on a highway with 18 wheelers on your tail and the car just revs up to 5000 rpms and you are going nowhere. - Infiniti dealership has confirmed the CVT needs to be replaced. - No other inspection(s) has occurred. -The symptoms have been almost all along. Was not identified when at dealership. 2. Rear Coupler. It was replaced in September 2023 with 81,344 miles. And now at approximately 120K miles it needs to be replaced. Again, this is almost from the time of purchase the scrapping noise. We thought it was the tires scrapping when we turned. I find it hard to believe a part can go so quickly (39K miles). $3K + to replace in 2023. -Safety wise the traction in wet weather. - Nissan dealership identified and repaired in September 2023. Provided a 12 month/12K mile warranty. Way too little for the cost of the repair. Infiniti dealership diagnosed this with the CVT. (above) - Nissan dealership said they would need to inspect to determine if there was anything they would do. -The symptons have been almost all along. Was not identified when at dealership.Read more

I purchased this Ram Promaster 3500 in 2022. In 2023 I was in Canada and went to have a spare key made. The dealer was unable to program a key to the vehicle. When I returned home to the Seattle area I took the vehicle to a Seattle Ram Business link dealer. They were also unable to program a key. May of 2025 I took the vehicle in for work and asked them to continue investigating the key issue. The
... y were still unable to do so and said that I needed a new RFH. This repair did not fix the problem and made it impossible to start the engine. They also replaced the PCM. This did not correct the problem. A tech was called from MOPAR who found a STAR ONLINE PUBLICATION for mopar which states that between Ram vehicles ( I don’t know if it is specific to ProMasters) manufactured between the dates of 11/29/2021 and 12/23/2021 had an “incorrect encryption software being programmed to the immobilizer modules.” If you type the VIN into the Service Library you can verify that S2208000129 is applicable. I was not made aware of this until I picked up the vehicle from the dealer with the old parts reinstalled. My concern is that I don’t know what else this problem in terms of the electrical and safety systems.Read more

The sunroof of my vehicle spontaneously exploded as I was driving on the highway, shattering the entire sunroof and spilling broken shards of glass onto me and into my vehicle as I was going 70 mph on the highway. I had to cross 6 lanes of traffic, with glass flying off of my vehicle and bouncing around on the sunshade, with my hazards on, to get into an exit lane and get off of the highway. This
... was not only terrifying, but incredibly dangerous to both me and those around me. Volkswagen has received MULTIPLE reports of this SAME incident, and previously issued a voluntary recall in 2014 for the SAME ISSUE with their "Panoramic Sunroof" on their Beetle cars. I called both the non-emergency police and highway safety control to try and make a report or have someone dispatched to assess the situation, but they did not do anything or even come inspect the vehicle because "it was not a collision with another vehicle and there was nothing that could be done". This needs to be known, addressed, fixed by Volkswagen so others are not put at risk like I was.Read more

We purchased a new 2025 Jayco Melbourne and afterwards discovered the MBZ 3500 Chassis was a 2024.(6/19/2024) A 2025 MBZ 3500 chassis has a TPMS -factory installed system; 2024 no TPMS. I started to install an aftermarket TPMS and noted the tire valve stems were rubber. I couldn’t install the end cap sensors due to safety concerns about centrifugal force causing a failure of the rubber valve st
... ems on the wheels. My next contact was MBZ customer service. They referred me to Walter’s Mercedes-Benz Van Center, 7979 Auto Drive, Riverside, Ca. 82504. I contacted Service Advisor Brennan Ruiz at 951-552-2145. After a couple of phone calls back and forth and me researching the parts through MBZ, I made an appointment on 6/11/2025 to have my 2025 Jayco retrofitted with the factory TPMS. The cost for me was approximately $3;000.00 including parts and labor. On 6/112025, Brennan took care of a warranty issue not related to this and was very helpful with the TPMS retrofit process. He did inform me that his tech would not be able to install the parts due to MBZ on the east coast refusing to release the computer code unless there was prior documentation or campaign bulletins for reference. The TPMS is standard on the 3500 MBZ Sprinter chassis, but MBZ will not release the code to their own dealership when I am willing to pay $3,000.00 for the entire retrofit process. It does not make sense to me since MBZ has the Motto on their web site: “How Mercedes-Benz Safety Features Prevent Accidents Before They Happen.” That’s what I am attempting to have completed! Resolution: First, I want this documented in case of tire failure/accident. Secondly, hopefully this will help me getting the Factory TPMS retrofit completed! I am not asking MBZ to pay anything other than releasing the computer code for the retrofit. This is for the safety of my family and all the other motorists that I encounter while driving on the highways in the US. Thank you for your help,Read more
