The entire infotainment screen spontaneously crashes leaving the screen completely black for 30 seconds to a minute while it resets. This happens randomly and quite frequently, on average every 5-10 minutes that the car is on. The whole infotainment system becomes unavailable including audio and, most dangerously, the backup camera. I have had incidents where I am reverse parking and I check my

I have taken the car to the dealer and have been told it’s a known issue but there is no fix and nothing could be done. There is no warning as to when the system decides to reboot. I have also had it happen during a very important phone call and the Bluetooth was disconnected entirely until the system finished rebooting. I could only imagine if that happened during an emergency call.Read more

The steering wheel "sticks" when steering, particularly when veering or turning right. My local Honda service department identified the issue as a defective steering gearbox, with a repair cost of $5,115.44. I pointed out that since the issue is a manufacturing defect and other CRVs have been recalled for the same reason, Honda should pay for the entire repair cost. Again they refused and gave me 30 days to think about their offer. I wrote a letter addressed to Mr. Ozawa, director of traffic safety, urging him to take responsibility for the known defect. Honda refused to increase their good will offer. I requested the offer in writing but was refused. I accepted the offer and scheduled the repairs. In the end Honda didn’t honor its good will offer and only paid $2,210 towards repairs. My only solace is knowing that all my calls were recorded (unless they lied about this too) and there's a record of the offer.Read more

I am the owner of a 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E affected by Recall 25S65 involving a 12V battery discharge issue that creates a serious entrapment hazard. If the 12V battery fails, the front doors can remain locked—even if someone exits using the mechanical release. This puts me and my family at risk of being locked inside or outside the vehicle in dangerous situations. I live in Texas, and I have
... two young daughters—both in car seats. The idea that this vehicle could trap us inside during a power failure, especially in Texas heat, is terrifying. I bought this vehicle to transport my family safely, and I no longer trust it to do that. Ford has admitted the risk exists but has said that a remedy won’t be available until Q3 2025. I contacted the dealership and confirmed that no parts or software are available. That leaves me and my family vulnerable for an unknown number of months. This is not a minor inconvenience—it’s a safety failure with real consequences. I am respectfully demanding a full vehicle buyback. I will not wait until the worst happens. The vehicle poses an immediate and unacceptable risk, and Ford’s delayed timeline makes continued ownership unreasonable. I need help ensuring my family is protected.Read more

My car started experiencing a strange problem while braking on June 15. I released the parking brake leaving my parents driveway. I coasted backwards (as usual), and when I pressed the brake the car didn't stop as expected and the brake pedal was very hard to press. It eventually stopped. I put into park, then put the emergency brake on, then released all and tried again and encountered the same i
... ssue, that it was very very slow to stop and the brake pedal was hard to push in. I got home, parked the car - tested the reverse brake on flat surface and didn't notice the issue. The next day, the problem started happening with the front brake as well and an error code popped up that said 'check brake assist' which I've never seen before. I brought it to my local mechanic, who took a look and said that it's a vacuum pump failure, and the result is a lot of metal shards were released into the engine when the vacuum pump failed. My mechanic recommended I take to a GMC dealer for further evaluation. I looked up the recall on this issue, and see that it impacts a lot cars, including the 2017 GMC terrain, but not my 2018 GMC terrain. I am going to take it to the GMC dealer but I'm afraid I won't be able to afford the repair, and it doesn't seem like there was anything I could have done to prevent this from happening.Read more

We purchased a brand-new 2021 Kia Sedona in 2021. Since January, we’ve been experiencing an intermittent but serious issue where the vehicle refuses to accelerate or shift beyond a certain point. This issue has put us in dangerous situations multiple times. One incident occurred while crossing a fast-moving, single-lane road—our vehicle would not accelerate to the appropriate speed, placing
... us at serious risk. On another occasion, while merging onto a highway, the car failed to accelerate, and we feared being rear-ended due to our inability to keep up with traffic. There are no warning lights or error messages to indicate a problem when this occurs. The only temporary solution has been to pull over, turn the car off, and restart it. After doing this, the vehicle functions normally for a few days, weeks, or even months before the issue reoccurs. We have taken the vehicle to our local Kia dealership, but they were unable to replicate the problem or identify any issues. We also brought it to a second Kia dealership with the same result—no diagnosis and no resolution. We are extremely concerned for our safety and would appreciate guidance on how to escalate this issue or pursue a resolution. I also have a video of an incident.Read more

My 2022 Hyundai Venue has a serious water intrusion issue that has gone unresolved for over a year. Every time it rains water pours into the cabin, especially on the passenger side leaving the floor soaked. I have to vacuum out water daily and use towels to prevent further damage. The vehicle has developed severe mold, which is a health risk, especially for my infant daughter who rides in the car.
... When the dealership first inspected it, they said it was the sunroof seal and would take several days to repair. Since the part wasn’t covered under warranty, I wasn’t offered a loaner and couldn’t be without a car. When I returned later, they said it likely wasn’t the sunroof after all, as there was no water damage at the top. They also said replacing the seal would be risky. After running their water tests, they claimed no water was entering the vehicle, despite clear evidence of ongoing leaks. To manage the constant water intrusion, I’ve had to regularly shop vac the car to remove standing water, line the interior with towels, and place multiple DampRid bags and buckets inside the vehicle weekly to try and reduce moisture. This has become a nearly daily routine, especially during rainy weather, and the problem continues to worsen. The interior constantly smells musty and feels unsafe for me and daughter. I am very concerned that the repeated water exposure may have damaged the electrical system or affected the airbags, especially the side airbags located in the door areas. I fear these safety systems could fail in the event of an accident. This is not an isolated problem. I have found multiple reports online of other Hyundai Venue owners experiencing the same leak in the same area. This suggests a larger factory defect that Hyundai is not addressing. See attached. I am asking NHTSA to investigate this issue, as it presents both a health and a serious safety risk. This defect should be evaluated for potential recall to protect other drivers and passengers.Read more

Horn malfunctioned, a known issue recognized by Kia on these models. Visited an authorized Kia repair center in Maryland on June 14, 2025. The repair center indicated that the necessary parts (96611-K0030 and 96619-T6000) are not available in Maryland or surrounding states, and backorder delays are at least four to six weeks. The vehicle is meanwhile not road safe due to the lack of a horn.
