I am a long time Corvette owner and have purchased many through the years. I recently purchased a 2008 Corvette Coupe with only 30k miles, one owner vehicle. Unbelievable to me, I have had to spend over $4,000 the past month replacing the ECM and most notably the Fuel Pump, to relieve the constant Fuel Smell, not to mention the rack and pinion steering gear needs to be replaced, with again, only 3
... 0k miles on the vehicle, and that part is discontinued. The failure of the ECM almost cost my wife and I our life when we were coming home to [XXX] from [XXX] . The car completely lost all power on the highway and we almost got railed by traffic. Not a good situation to say the least. I almost had a heart attack. So we had to have it towed and finally made it home, only to find out the next day after a nice ride, my entire garage was overwhelmed with a gas smell that evening which permeated through the whole house. I took notice that GM covered this exact situation with GM Bulletin # xxx back in 2017, so they KNEW there was a problem! My question is, how can GM not cover this NOW. Many 2008 Corvettes are still being bought and sold. I spent over $2800 for this last week! I am asking you and GM to at least cover 50% of this charge. I don't think that is too much to ask. It's much cheaper than having been sued by our family, should me wife and I have not survived that situation on the road, a case I know they would have won. We should definitely be compensated to say the least! Thanks INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

This Ford Escape has had numerous issues with coolant leaks leading to total engine failure on October 2025. The vehicle is unrepairable with the turbo being damaged and is no longer on the road
Incident date: Nov 1, 2025
This vehicle has ongoing drivability issues that have not been resolved despite multiple repair attempts involving engine-related components and repairs. The issue began in November 2024 while the vehicle was under warranty with coolant and engine warnings. At that time, I reported coolant loss, warning messages, hesitation during acceleration, and abnormal vehicle vibration. I was initially told
... no issue existed. Shortly after warranty expiration, the vehicle required a major head gasket repair in 2025 after continuing to exhibit the same coolant-related issues. In 2026, the vehicle required an additional engine-related repair involving a camshaft seal in the same area of the engine that had previously been dismantled and rebuilt. Despite these repairs, the same drivability symptoms remain. The vehicle intermittently hesitates during acceleration, particularly from a stop or during merging conditions, where engine RPM increases significantly before the vehicle responds. The vehicle also exhibits significant steering wheel and seat vibration at highway speeds and during extended driving. These conditions create a potential safety concern because the vehicle does not consistently respond as expected during acceleration and becomes unstable and uncomfortable to operate at highway speeds. The hesitation creates concern when entering traffic, crossing intersections, or attempting to accelerate in situations requiring predictable vehicle response. The issue has been repeatedly presented to the dealership and repair attempts have been performed, including major engine work, but the condition remains unresolved. The repairs were treated as separate isolated issues rather than a continuation of the original condition first reported under warranty. The vehicle has been out of service for approximately 43 days across these repairs. No loaner vehicle was provided during those periods. The vehicle remains in its current condition with unresolved issues.Read more

Recurring camera and Autopilot defect on a 2023 Tesla Model Y (HW3 with in-cabin camera, in scope for NHTSA Recall 23V838). 7 service visits in 13.5 months and ~14,000 miles of my ownership. Tesla verified the camera/Autopilot defect in writing on 12/5/2025 and replaced the upper Quad Camera Cover (P/N 1755687-00-B) and Interior Camera (P/N 1588124-S0-I). Same defect returned by 4/27/2026. On 4/
... 28/2026 Tesla service issued a Could Not Duplicate citing 'no log data showing signs of autosteer having an issue or any camera blocked alerts.' But Tesla's own VIN-linked telemetry, which Tesla provided me via Privacy Portal data request, contains: 28 Autopilot FAULT events on 14 of 27 retained days; 1 ABORTING event matching my report to the minute; and 17 highway-speed (>=50 mph) phantom-brake-class hard decelerations <= -0.20 g. The worst event: 4/28/2026 at 2:12 PM EDT, less than 90 minutes after Tesla returned the vehicle. Autopilot was in ACTIVE_NOMINAL state with cruise engaged at 63.6 mph. System produced an unprompted -0.252 g (-2.47 m/s^2) deceleration. Driver was not braking; system was driving. Additional phantom brakes: -0.297 g at 62.9 mph on 5/2/2026; -0.294 g at 70.0 mph on 5/3/2026. Multiple Take Over Immediately alerts without explanation. Camera Blocked alerts in clear conditions. Driver-monitoring system flagged 'hands NOT detected' on 339 of 684 monitoring detection events during the 27-day window despite hands being on the wheel — the recall remedy mechanism is failing on this vehicle. This vehicle is in scope for NHTSA Recall Query RQ24009 (open), investigating whether the 23V838 OTA remedy actually fixed the underlying Autosteer defect. My data is direct fleet-level evidence the remedy did not work on this VIN. Currently in active New Vehicle Limited Warranty.Read more
