The engine needs to be replaced due to coolant intrusion. This issue had no initial warning, and the car suddenly had issues accelerating and when I looked under the hood at home was low on coolant. I refilled it. Next morning an engine light came on for misfire in cylinder #3. I had an engine coil and the spark plugs replaced and it seemed fine for about a week before everything resumed happeni

I feel this should be a recall, this is not safe. Ford has today confirmed I need a new long block due to coolant intrusion. Not only is this issue unsafe, but it’s very costly to fix. I’ve already spent $400 on this, and now I’m going to have to spend several thousand on a new engine for a car I’ve only owned for 20k miles.Read more

On August 20, 2025, my 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie was taken to the dealership for diagnosis after showing the warning “Electronic Stability Control system needs service,” along with a flashing check engine light. The dealer pulled diagnostic codes and documented U0403-00 (“Invalid Data Received from Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module A”) as well as other communication errors. This is
... the same defect covered under Stellantis’ recall for ABS module failures that disable stability control in 2019 Ram trucks. However, my VIN is not included in the recall. A few years ago, the truck experienced the same warning, but the problem cleared on its own. Now it has returned and is documented with codes in the dealer system. The dealership acknowledged other recalls were already completed on my VIN, but refuses to perform this safety recall since my VIN is not listed. ABS and ESC failures are not the result of consumer behavior. This is a faulty system created at the time of vehicle manufacturing. There has been no accident or outside damage, and nothing the owner could have done to avoid this issue. The defect lies with the vehicle’s design and creates a serious safety risk for the driver and others on the road. I believe my VIN was excluded from the recall in error and request that NHTSA investigate and expand the coverage.Read more

I have experienced persistent and frustrating issues with the infotainment system of my 2021 Honda Accord Touring. Touchscreen Malfunctions Symptoms: Unresponsive screens, freezing, and “ghost touches” (inputs registered without phy

System Crashes and Reboots Symptoms: The system may randomly crash, freeze, or restart, sometimes causing the entire dashboard to shut off—even while driving 3. Connectivity Problems Symptoms: Frequent disconnections or failures with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth, making it hard to use smartphone features safely 4. Blank or Malfunctioning Displays Symptoms: The screen may go black, fail to turn on, or show a white screen, obscuring navigation, fuel, and safety information 5. Battery Drain Symptoms: The infotainment system sometimes powers on unexpectedly when the car is off, draining the battery and risking further electrical issues. I own a 2018 Ford F-150 with the 3.5L EcoBoost. It started having idling issues that eventually required the cam phasers to be replaced. While that was frustrating and costly enough, the bigger issue came with the 10R80 transmission. Despite performing all services on schedule and maintaining the truck properly, the transmission failed. After doing research, I found that this isn’t an isolated
... incident. On Ford forums and owner groups, it’s clear that the 10R80 transmission has been a widespread, ongoing issue for years. Thousands of Ford owners have been forced to spend thousands of dollars to repair or replace these transmissions—something that Ford should have addressed long ago with a proper fix or recall. It’s disappointing that a company with Ford’s reputation hasn’t taken accountability for a known defect that affects so many loyal customers. Something should be done to make this right for owners who trusted Ford to deliver a reliable truck.Read more

I drove over a rough patch/bump in the road. A ton of warning messages and failure lights activated on the dash. In addition to the check engine light, there were warnings for electronic stability protection, sway bar disconnect, ABS failure, power steering failure, shift lever malfunction. In addition to these malfunctions a failures, the windshield wipers turned on un-commanded and the radiator
... fan went into the highest possible speed, the digital engine temperature gauge failed, and both the digital and analog speedometers failed. This happened on a arterial road, losing power steering and braking at ~30mph unexpectedly was a shock, but manageable. At highway speeds it likely would have led to an accident or collision. Unfortunately, I don't have any documentation of the failure lights and systems failing, but it had happened several times prior to this occurrence, albeit only with dash warning lights, no actual system failures. After the system failures, I stopped driving the vehicle. The problem appears to be somewhat widespread and is caused by a failing CAN-C BUS. A quick google search will reveal NUMEROUS descriptions on the same dangerous issue. This thread seems to clearly expIain the root of the issue with the CAN-C BUS: [XXX] I replaced my old CAN-C BUS (p/n 68321746AA) with a new part and it appears to have resolved the issue. Crash
Incident date: Aug 14, 2025
On Monday [XXX] I was driving to work when my vehicle abruptly stopped in the middle of traffic. I had several cars behind me slam on their brakes due to my vehicle stopping. It was super scary and dangerous and at a four way stop. There was loud knocking from the engine seconds before it stopped on me. I called roadside assistance and had it towed to the dealership I work at. I looked up my VIN a
... nd was informed that my vehicle has an engine recall. It was sent to Hyundai river Oaks in Calumet City who I do NOT recommend. They never once called me with an update. They then informed me via text that my vehicle would not be covered under the recall due to, “jumped timing”. I then opened a case with Hyundai and they were not any better and closed my case and said there was nothing they would do for me and case was closed. I am furious that my vehicle has an engine recall and my engine failed on me and almost caused a very serious wreck for myself and others. They can get away with not covering the recall due to “jumped timing”. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

... st System (LKAS), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), and Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) showed on the display and all features failed to function. 3. Detailed Description of Failure & Safety Risk (Chronological) Component/System Affected: I have not taken the vehicle to the local Honda dealership as yet as I plan to schedule an appointment during the week of 17 August. After researching this issues it is found that many other consumers have experienced the same issue and confirmed that it was the ADAS front-facing camera and radar sensor failure. Due to the failure this causes the following safety systems to cease functionality: Auto High Beam, ACC, LKAS, CMBS, and RDM. Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Safety Risk: All affected systems are critical for maintaining lane position, speed, collision avoidance, and visibility. Not having these critical safety features creates a heightened risk of collision or unsafe maneuver. Inspection: Only an authorized Honda dealer will inspect/diagnose the issue. There has been no inspection from the vehicle manufacturer, law enforcement, insurance, or independent service.Read more
