This vehicle is a pile of hot garbage. Front end collision system slams on the brakes when you are not even close to hitting something in front of you plus it will auto brake randomly but often. I was backing into a parking spot and someone walked in front of the car and it slammed on the brakes. Dealer says only way to fix this is to turn the entire safety system off. The coffee break warning ha
... s zero rhyme or reason and will go off 10+ times in a trip even though I am not distracted and use my turn signal changing lanes. Dealer states there is no way to turn this off. Dashboard randomly flashes and goes dark along with all lighting in and outside the vehicle. Dealer was unable to duplicate the problem and returned the car with no fix. Drove the car in the rain for the first time and dashboard came up with a ton of errors and crash detection turned off. This is new and will be taking the car in for this and is now the reason I am filing another complaint. This vehicle is NOT safe and can be very scary to drive because you don't know when it will just take over for you.Read more

I purchased a dodge 3500 truck on October 16th 2024. My truck as of today has 4900 miles on it. It is a one ton dually. I noticed this week two of the rear outside tires have cracks and defective tread. I took it to a tire shop and they confirmed these tires are bad. I tow a 40 foot fifth wheel trailer. If I had had a blowout it could of been a huge problem for myself and those on the road around
... me. I spoke to the dealership I bought the truck from and they informed me they would have to see the tires and file a report with the manufacture of the tires. I had to buy all 6 new tires because I didn't want to chance a blow out with my trailer on the truck. I googled Nexen tires LT235/80R17 which are my tires. It says these are not rated for a 1 ton dually truck. When used on a dually it says its not the best choice for a 1 ton especially when towing heavy loads. The reason I bought this truck was for the purpose of towing my RV. I made that clear to the sales man at the dealership when I bought this truck. I assumed these tires were rated for this truck. If it's a defect I should be reimbursed from the manufacture for all 6 tires. If it's the dealers fault they should reimburse me. This is definitely a road hazard, a accident waiting to happen.Read more

2025 Dodge Ram 1500 with 741 miles began showing "Warning Light Illumination Unavailable Service Required". From what I have seen in numerous Ram forums this is a common occurrence. Brake lines have completely rusted through. Car had additional rust issues on the subframe which Mercedes admitted and replaced as part of an extended warranty . When that was repaired they never mentioned the brakes. Now 3 months later the brake lines rusted completely through … seems both subframe and lines rust at the same rate. Although my VIN currently shows no open recalls (because the fuel pump recall was previously marked completed), the replacement part failed while driving in traffic, leaving me stranded. This vehicle previously had the low-pressure fuel pump replaced under the Honda recall campaign. On [XXX], the replacement fuel pump failed again while driving in rush hour traffic in North Dallas, causing the ve
... hicle to stall in a live lane and creating a major safety hazard. I attempted dozens of restarts without success. The vehicle was towed to Coit Auto Center ($80), where they performed a diagnostic test confirming low-pressure fuel pump failure codes — the same component that was recalled. On August 16, 2025, the vehicle was then towed ($223) to John Eagle Honda in Dallas (the original selling dealer and recall repairer). Honda and the dealership stated the repeat failure was not warrantable because the recall repair had already been performed once. This is unacceptable. A recall remedy that fails is still a recall compliance issue, not a customer-pay repair. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate Honda’s handling of repeat recall failures. The vehicle requires replacement of the defective pump and coverage of labor costs, as well as a full diagnostic inspection (starter, alternator, battery, ignition, ECU, and electronics) to ensure it is safe for road use after the stall and restart attempts. My 2018 Chevrolet Traverse, has unresolved safety defects that endanger occupants and other road users. These include transmission failure with loss of acceleration, “Shift‑to‑Park” malfunctions preventing engine shut‑off, inoperative blind‑spot/cross‑traffic sensors, faulty tire pressure monitoring, and an active oil leak from the timing gasket cover. These issues occur unpredictabl
... y during normal driving and parking, creating an immediate risk of collision, roll‑away, or engine fire. All of these issued happened within a very short time frame. June 2025 and I took my car into Crews Chevy, they want over $15,000 to repair. All of these items I have mentioned have numerous class action lawsuits (that they have won) for the year of my vehicle. Please refer to Part 573 Safety Recall Report 25V536. This report seeks to bring to the attention of the NHTSA that additional General Motors, LLC Chevrolet Corvette Models NOT INCLUDED in the Recall Report are virtually identical in design and having the identical safety issue. THE ISSUE: Excess fuel spilled into the fuel filler pocket drains directly into the left-side fan equipped air intake. T
... he air intake is equipped with a thermostatically controlled fan that remains running after engine shutdown if the engine temperature trigger threshold is met. While Safety Recall 25V536 limits the issue to those models equipped with a "radiator/fan combination", to exclude the "fan only" models (Stingray Z51 Equipped in particular) from the recall due to not containing an "ignition source" is short-sighted to state the least in my opinion. Any electric motor is an ignition source as power (typically 12VDC in an automobile) is delivered through "brushes" to an armature that excites the magnetic fields between opposing magnets. The assumption that the addition of a radiator (essentially a sealed cavity have no spark potential) creates an ignition source combination is short-sighted at the least and criminally negligent at best. I am the owner of a 2025 Stingray with a Z51 package. After reviewing 25V536, I conducted a test on my vehicle by pouring water into the fuel filler pocket and monitored where that water went. The test results made it clear to me that to exclude the Stingray is a mistake. Video test results are attached.Read more

I own a 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Series III (VIN [XXX] ) that has experienced repeated, unresolved electrical system failures which pose a direct risk to my safety and to the motoring public. The vehicle has already required fourteen warranty visits, with thirty-one days out of service and twenty repeat repairs. The problems include multiple no-crank/no-start events that have left me stranded, fou
... r premature battery failures, and ongoing electrical malfunctions affecting the instrument cluster, infotainment system, HVAC, rear camera, mirrors, power running boards, and other electronic modules. These failures show that the electrical system is unstable and unpredictable. On [XXX], after the latest no-start incident, the dealership’s service manager told me directly that the issue was “more than just a bad battery.” Despite this acknowledgment, the only action taken was to replace the battery for the fourth time and declare the vehicle “repaired.” Jeep’s customer care initially agreed that the history showed a deeper safety issue and promised to open a STAR engineering inspection, but that inspection has never been scheduled. Instead, I am being pressured to pick up and drive a vehicle that the dealership itself admitted has unresolved electrical problems. This is not just a matter of inconvenience — the risk of sudden electrical shutdowns while driving, or the loss of critical safety systems such as brakes, steering modules, and cameras, presents a clear hazard to my family and others on the road. A vehicle with this history should not be returned to service based only on repeated battery swaps while the underlying defect remains unidentified. I respectfully ask NHTSA to investigate the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Series III for systemic electrical failures and to ensure that Stellantis does not force consumers to operate unsafe vehicles that continue to suffer from recurring electrical shutdowns. NHTSA Safety Complaint – Seat Heater Defect Vehicle: 2017 Lexus RX 350 Mileage at purchase: 45,430 Purchase date: Feb. 17, 2025 Dealer: Lexus of Tacoma at Fife, WA Description of Problem: The driver’s seat heater does not function properly. It is slow to activate (5–6 minutes), then overheats uncontrollably even when set to “LOW.” On multiple occasions, the seat became hot enough to ca
... use burns through clothing. Defect Confirmed by Dealership Service Staff: Dealership staff confirmed that the driver and passenger seats heat at different rates. This matches a known defect identified in Lexus Technical Service Information Bulletin L-SB-0038-18 (Oct 10, 2018). Additionally, they confirmed that the drivers' seat spikes to uncontrolled high temperatures, even on the "LOW" setting. Despite this, the dealership refused to repair the issue without an extended warranty and suggested using a sheepskin seat cover to prevent further burns, which is prohibited in the vehicle manual. Safety Hazard: •The defect caused burns to the driver. •The driver's elderly mother, who has peripheral neuropathy in her legs, did not feel when the passenger heater was accidentally turned on, highlighting the risk of undetected burns should the heater defect remain unrepaired. •Risk of fire is also present given the uncontrolled heat and inherent electrical issue. Attempts to Resolve: Reported to dealership on 3/28/25. Dealer disclaimed responsibility. Reported again to dealership on 6/25/25. No response. Reported to Lexus Corporate Customer Service on 8/28/25. Summary: The seat heater malfunction is a confirmed manufacturing defect, already documented by Lexus in a TSIB. Not mentioned in the TSIB is the additional problem of uncontrolled heat spikes, which poses significant risk of burns or fire. Request NHTSA investigation and corrective action.Read more

Coolant intrusion into cylinder 2 at 26,000 miles. Was told by mechanic this is due to thin cylinder wall design between cylinder 2 and 3. And the thin coolant channel cut between them. A new engine block manufactured after 2020 was recommended because the engine design was changed to fix this issue. My warranty expired 4 months prior so I had to fix myself.

Subject: Vehicle Theft Due to Security Vulnerability – 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid Vehicle Information: • Make: Honda • Model: CR-V Hybrid AWD • Year: 2023 Description of the Problem: I am reporting a serious security vulnerability in my 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid, which was stolen [XXX] from a residential parking lot in Bayside Queens, NY. The theft occurred despite the vehicle being locked and
... parked in my parking area. The theft method likely involved bypassing the CAN bus system, a known vulnerability in modern vehicles. Honda later issued a product improvement notice regarding enhanced anti-theft software, which I received(8/26/25) after the incident. This suggests that the manufacturer was aware of the security flaw but did not proactively notify owners or offer preventive upgrades before thefts occurred. Will Impact: • Financial loss due to theft and insurance deductibles • Emotional distress and ongoing safety concerns • Time-consuming police and insurance procedures • Lack of timely manufacturer support or warning • Police report (NYPD case number: [XXX]) I urge NHTSA to investigate the security vulnerabilities in Honda CR-V Hybrid models, particularly regarding CAN bus access and lack of proactive anti-theft measures. I also request that Honda be required to issue formal recalls or mandatory software updates to prevent further thefts asap. Side view mirrors shake to the point you cannot see out of them. Car has 2K miles on it and has been to the dealer 5 times over the past month for resolution. Dealer and toyota have escalated to a more advanced technical team, they took a look at it and informed me it is a normal characteristic of the vehicle with no fix. This is unacceptable and not safe to drive on the highway.
