My 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe began with an intense burning smell followed by the “Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle” warning light illuminating. After this, the vehicle experienced numerous electrical issues with the infotainment system, and the air conditioning failed. At one point, both the service and battery lights came on and the car lost all power, would not shift from park, and could n

During the seventh and eighth occurrences, the vehicle became unsafe: once while stopped, the electric and motor systems appeared to fight for power, and the next time while traveling around 55 mph, the car suddenly lost power and rapidly decelerated, creating a serious risk of a rear-end collision. This problem has been reproduced by the dealership, who attempted to replace the Module Control Module without success. Dealership and myself contacted the manufacturer and were told there is currently no fix and to “hang tight” until one is available. ... o the dealership where they performed a diagnostic but found nothing wrong. In the week since picking up the vehicle I have been operating it. I experienced two occasions where upon trying to accelerate at approximately 30 mph there was a severe jolt that caused the traction control warning light to flash. This was under minor acceleration just to maintain speed when going uphill. There was no indication prior to the event and once it had concluded the lights went off. I also experienced an occurrence of the rear wheels locking temporarily. I was traveling at approximately 40 mph on flat ground and gently stepped on the accelerator to maintain my speed in traffic. The rear tires locked for 1-2 seconds to the point the tires were squealing and you could smell burning rubber. There was no indication prior to the event that it was coming. Given my necessary reaction I was unable to see if there were any indicators or warnings present. Following the event there were no indicators illuminated. Outside of these events the vehicle seems to operate normally. It runs well and generally shifts smooth. However, the rear wheels locking up unexpectedly presents an unacceptable hazard that is not resulting in any evidence that the dealer can use to troubleshoot.Read more

AAA towed it back to the dealership where they confirmed the Power Transfer Unit stopped altogether (PTU). From there they said they will keep the car until the part comes in, the car part was estimated August 8th. It is now September 11th and they still have not received the part to fix the car. I have contacted Jeep Customer Service, a Law Firm, etc as there is no recall open on this vehicle and it seems to be an issue as our dealership said there were 10 other Jeeps waiting for this part.Read more

The contact then took the vehicle to Pep Boys, where it was confirmed that the odometer had been rolled back. The dealer was contacted several times, and the dealer was made aware of the odometer discrepancy.
