The rear backup camera has been intermittently failing for over one year on this 2020 RAM ProMaster 2500. The failure has now become more frequent and extended. When the fault occurs, the infotainment screen displays a permanent "Camera System Unavailable" message that blocks access to all other functions including radio, phone, and navigation. The failure occurs in all gear positions and persists
... after engine restart. The only temporary resolution has been extended power-off periods. The dealer confirmed this vehicle is covered under Manufacturer Recall 59C / NHTSA Recall 25V-552 but stated no remedy parts are available. No written service record was created for this report. No interim remedy or timeline was provided. The recall was issued August 2025 and as of May 2026 remains unresolved. This constitutes a direct safety hazard during reversing maneuvers, consistent with NHTSA's own safety risk description for this recall.Read more

The infotainment system in my Volkswagen ID.4 is experiencing intermittent failures while driving. The issue primarily affects the vehicle’s connectivity with my mobile phone (Apple CarPlay / Android Auto), music playback, and the use of navigation applications such as Google Maps. In several instances, the central display has also gone completely black, temporarily becoming unresponsive without
... warning. The affected component is the vehicle’s digital infotainment system, including the central touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, and multimedia and navigation functions. This system is available for inspection upon request. While driving, the system randomly disconnects from my phone, which interrupts Google Maps navigation, music playback, and other phone-based functions. This is particularly concerning because I rely on Google Maps for daily navigation, as the vehicle’s built-in navigation system is not sufficiently accurate or reliable. In my experience, the factory navigation does not provide strong real-time traffic detail and sometimes routes me through significantly longer or less efficient paths. The only advantage of the built-in navigation system is that it displays information on the driver’s head-up/front display, which Google Maps does not support. These failures create a potential safety risk, as the sudden loss of navigation while driving can lead to distraction when attempting to reconnect the phone or restore system functionality. Additionally, interruptions in audio guidance and the occurrence of a completely black screen may further affect driving focus. The issue occurs intermittently and has happened multiple times during normal vehicle operation. It is not consistently reproducible. To date, the vehicle has not been inspected by a dealership, the manufacturer, police, or any insurance representatives in relation to this issue. In most cases, there are no prior warning lights or messages; the system simply disconnects or the display goes blaRead more

The front driver-side door on my 2021 Infiniti QX50 appears to have a faulty latch, hinge, or door ajar sensor issue. The vehicle repeatedly displays a “door open/door ajar” warning even when the door is fully shut and latched. The warning can sometimes be triggered or worsened by leaning on the door or applying light pressure, which suggests movement in the latch or hinge assembly. The issue
... also occurs while making left turns, where the warning activates as if gravity or vehicle movement is pulling the door slightly outward. This raises concern that the door latch may not be fully securing the door during normal driving conditions. This creates a safety concern because the vehicle may not properly recognize the door as securely closed while driving. There is concern that the latch assembly may not be functioning correctly or could fail unexpectedly. The issue also creates distraction while driving due to warning messages and alerts appearing intermittently. There were warning messages prior to the issue becoming more noticeable, specifically repeated “door open” alerts despite the door appearing fully closed. The issue appears consistent with reports involving faulty or misaligned door latch assemblies and/or door ajar switch malfunctions on Infiniti QX50 vehicles. At this time, the vehicle has not yet been fully repaired or confirmed by a dealer. The problem can be reproduced intermittently by closing the door normally and applying slight pressure or leaning against the door from inside or outside the vehicle, as well as during left-hand turns while driving.Read more

While driving on the interstate over 2 hours from home the car put itself into neutral and almost caused us to get into a collision. While accelerating after a construction zone, the lights on the dash of the vehicle lit up with transmission, emissions, electronic parking brake, and more codes. The car shifted itself into neutral while running between 65-70 mph on the interstate. Multiple vehicles
... were accelerating after the 55 mph work zone area was over, and we had to swerve between cars to get to the shoulder of the road because the vehicle lost all acceleration capabilities. We have taken the vehicle to the dealer for past recalls and software updates and mentioned this issue happening before and were told that the vehicle showed no codes concerning the electronic parking brake issue. Upon further investigation, there are multiple reports and forums of this particular vehicle having the same issue. Its a miracle we didn't get involved in a massive collision with semi trucks and other vehicles amongst us when the vehicle lost all ability to accelerate. This could cause a huge problem if it were to happen again in a more populated area or at increased speeds. We were stuck on the side of the road for 4 hours waiting on a flatbed to tow it because it locks up the AWD system with the electronic parking brake and doesn't allow the wheels to move. This is the second time we've had it towed for this same issue only to be told that it's not a problem. I'm willing to bet that the company knows exactly what the issue is but won't issue a recall because they don't classify it as a safety recall until people start losing their lives or cost the company stockholders money. This problem has the ability to cause major harm or death to people with this vehicle if it were to shift itself into neutral or lock up the electronic parking brake while in a heavy populated area. I hope they issue a safety recall and hold the company accountable before people lose their life.Read more

The driver’s seat is making cracking, clicking, popping, and creaking noises from the lower seat frame, seat rail, or mounting area where the seat attaches to the vehicle body. The noise is most noticeable during braking, acceleration, turning, driving over uneven roads, and when shifting body weight in the seat. It feels as though the seat has movement or play, as if the seat rails, frame, or m
... ounting bolts may not be fully secure. This is a safety concern because the seat is part of the occupant restraint system and is critical for proper seat belt positioning and airbag protection. If the seat frame, rails, or mounting hardware are loose, damaged, worn, or improperly secured, the seat could shift during a sudden stop or collision. In an accident, movement of the seat could reduce seat belt effectiveness, alter occupant positioning relative to airbags, increase the risk of impact with the steering wheel, dashboard, door, or center console, and increase the likelihood of head, neck, chest, back, pelvic, or leg injuries. Unexpected seat movement could also affect driver control immediately before or during a crash. This should not be treated as a simple interior rattle. The seat mounting bolts, rails, locking mechanisms, adjusters, frame components, and floor mounting points should be fully inspected for looseness, improper torque, wear, cracking, or structural failure. I have also found numerous similar owner complaints online from Lexus GX owners reporting clicking, cracking, rocking, or shifting driver seats that feel loose or unstable. Based on forum discussions and owner reports, there appear to be dozens of similar complaints, suggesting this may not be an isolated issue.Read more
