On a practical level, I cannot undertake road trips with my vehicle, as the length of time it would take to recharge on level 2 simply is not logistically feasible. Even for daily commuting, I've had to spend considerable time the past year finding level 2 chargers and waiting for my vehicle to slowly charge. The length of time this has taken is excessive and Nissan should be either buying back all affected vehicles or else offering owners like myself significant settlement checks for the inconvenience.Read more

UNKNOWN- The check engine light came on and was taken for a diagnostic test and it returned a P052E code. This indicates a fault in the Positive Crankcase Ventilation Regulator Valve performance. This is a known issue with Mercedes Benz as there has been a recall for all the models except the CLA.

The engine in my vehicle has experiences major failures in valve flap adjusters, multiple valve failures, valve cover issues, and over consumption of oil by over a quarter in a week and a half of average driving. My safety was put at risk because the engine failure resulted in traction control malfunctions while going 70 mph up hill on a major interstate. This led to extreme shaking which did not
... stop until slowing down to below 15 mph. Luckily I was a mile from an exit and was able to coast off the road quickly; it was decent enough weather, and I was less than 5 miles from my destination so I could creep between 15-30 mph to not exacerbate traction control alarms. That slow mph did back up traffic behind me. As far as I am aware the problem was likely reproduced by the dealership service tech, which led to their recommendation to replace the whole engine. They do not consider it to be covered by any warranty anymore. The engine may be in their possession still, but I am unsure. There were zero warning lights/prompts from the vehicle that anything was going wrong prior to the shaking and loss of traction control at high speed. The dealer service team suggested that my high miles led to the engine failure. I do highway driving with it and have followed all manufacturer recommendations for oil changes, and even more frequent changes with OEM oil since about 80k miles. I do not think this engine should have failed at this amount of mileage. I made note of oil consumption around 95k miles and measured oil loss regularly. It was a little less than a quart every 2K to 3k miles which manufacturer states is within spec so I would top off oil. A year ago it had a TCM wire replaced after burning in half. 3 weeks ago I also had to replace the entire turbo. The wire rendered my car unable to go in gear. The turbo failure put me into limp mode. I think the turbo failure was a sign of a deeper issue that went undiagnosed.Read more

However, these assemblies are very expensive, so I have not replaced them yet. I am currently limited to using only the low beams. Without DRLs, the truck is less visible during daytime driving, increasing the risk of a collision. Without high beams, nighttime visibility is reduced, especially on rural or dark roads. This failure affects federally required lighting functions, compromising safety in both day and night driving. The problem is not normal wear: these are sealed LED assemblies that should last the life of the vehicle. The fact that both assemblies failed strongly indicates a manufacturing or design defect. Owners face high out-of-pocket costs because the only fix offered is full assembly replacement. Other 2021 F-150 owners have reported similar failures of DRLs and headlights online, showing this is not an isolated incident. On the third visit, the shop manager (Mike) stated that the brake pads were so low they had fallen off, causing the calipers to overextend and leak. Has the vehicle/component been inspected by others? Yes. Premier Auto inspected and repaired the brakes multiple times. Dobbs Tire & Auto later inspected after the blowout and diagnosed additional electrical issues. Documentation, invoices, and photos are available. Were there warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms? The brake warning light illuminated and the pedal sank to the floor during failures. I put the car in drive and heard a loud bang. When I went to move it sounded like metal scraping. It turns out the front differential cracked and came loose making the truck inoperable. The truck was not off road and has been well taken care of. The part is three weeks on back order for a new front axle because this is happening to many of the RAM trucks.

This has left me with an unsafe vehicle that cannot be repaired, yet I am still obligated to make monthly payments. This defect creates a serious crash risk because the engine may fail and the vehicle could lose all propulsion without warning. My family is forced to either risk driving a defective vehicle or go without reliable transportation. Dealer Interaction •Dealer confirmed that the recall is active but has no available remedy. •Dealer stated GMC will not authorize a buyback, trade-in, or loaner vehicle until the recall repair is developed. •I am effectively stranded with an unsafe vehicle and no safe options. Remedy I am requesting that GMC be required to: 1.Buy back my vehicle under federal recall and warranty obligations; or 2.Provide a safe, comparable loaner or replacement vehicle at no cost until the defect is remedied. I have consulted two Porsche dealerships, both of which confirmed Porsche considers this a cosmetic defect not covered by the Certified Pre Owned warranty. However, given the location and potential interaction with the airbag system, I strongly believe this constitutes a safety-related defect that requires investigation. Online forums show this is a common issue across many models made by Porsche during this time but specifically SUV's. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue to determine whether the delaminating dashboards in Porsche Cayenne models create a safety hazard that requires a recall and mandatory repair.Read more
