I received notice of safety recall N945 for the 2021–2025 Range Rover Evoque concerning a defect in the passenger airbag that could tear during deployment due to improper folding during assembly. This condition poses a serious safety risk because a torn airbag could fail to protect the occupant or release hot gases that could cause burns. Since the recall was issued several months ago, I have r
... epeatedly contacted my authorized Land Rover dealership to schedule the repair. The dealership stated that they are unable to perform the recall because their internal system was “hacked” and they cannot access recall information or confirm when parts will be available. The manufacturer’s website still lists the recall as “incomplete – remedy not yet available.” It has now been over three months since I was notified of the recall, yet no remedy or scheduling information has been provided. This delay prevents me from having a critical safety repair completed and leaves my vehicle in an unsafe condition for any front passenger. I am filing this complaint because the manufacturer and dealership have not provided a remedy within a reasonable time frame, and I believe this represents a failure to complete a federally mandated safety recall in a timely mannerRead more

I am submitting this follow-up to document new information and continuing concerns regarding my 2024 Cadillac Lyriq EV, which experienced sudden unintended acceleration during a parking maneuver. GM and its claims administrator (ESIS) have now completed their review and issued a denial letter on October 31 2025, stating “no defects were found.” However, the denial included no supporting techn
... ical findings, analysis, or data explaining how that conclusion was reached. Despite multiple written requests, GM has not provided the following key event-data modules: – Brake System Control Module (EBCM/iBooster) export (brake pressure, pedal position, brake override flags) – Propulsion/Drive Control Module data (torque request vs actual torque and accelerator input) – Front Camera Module metadata (timestamps and event record IDs) Additionally, several data discrepancies remain unresolved — including mismatched timestamps between the ASCM and FCM reports and camera images that do not correspond to the actual crash scene. On October 29 2025, GM publicly announced Customer Satisfaction Program N252521980, covering certain 2023–24 Cadillac Lyriq and 2024 Chevy Blazer EV vehicles for a Brake System Control Module software update due to possible brake-control performance issues. Because my incident involved loss of braking response, this recall appears directly relevant. I have requested confirmation whether my vehicle is affected and whether this module was analyzed in GM’s investigation, but have not received a reply. I am requesting that NHTSA review GM’s handling of this case to determine whether the engineering review was complete and whether the vehicle’s BSCM or related systems could be implicated in unintended acceleration or brake override failures. GM Case #1092995 – Submitted to ESIS/GM Product Investigations Group. Thank you for your attention and for documenting this matter in the defect database.Read more

On 10/24, a rented van (from Budget Truck Rental) was parked and stationary on private commercial property (a warehouse lot) when a fire originated in the engine compartment area. The fire rapidly escalated, causing severe damage to the van itself, and resulting in the total loss of a second, adjacent rented van. The local Fire Department (FD) responded to and extinguished the blaze. What compone
... nt or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The fire appeared to originate in the engine compartment. The specific component or system that failed is UNKNOWN at this time, pending a formal report from FD, but the recall 67C one day earlier shows this could have been the reason. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The vehicle was unoccupied and stationary; however, the uncontrolled fire created an immediate and significant risk to the nearby structure (warehouse building) and resulted in the total destruction of an adjacent commercial vehicle. The incident posed a risk to emergency responders and caused substantial property damage. We have 12 other vans with these recalls and very concerned. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? NO. The incident was a fire resulting in the vehicle's damage and loss. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The incident is under investigation by the Fire Department (FD) and the Police Department (PD). Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? NO. The vehicle was parked and shut off. We use Samsara and no prior warning lamps, messages, or symptoms reported before the fire began. The vehicle has 4162h on the engine and 47,175 miles.Read more

On Sept 14 2025 we were driving our Promaster and heard a knocking sound then the vehicle immediately overheated. We had the car towed to a dealership and we were informed we needed a new engine as the fan module had failed causing the vehicle to overheat and ruining the engine. The extended warranty company also denied the claim citing that the fan module had failed. We purchased the vehicle on S
... ept 10th 2025. The prior owner had several repairs completed to the cooling system in the months prior to us purchasing the vehicle which included replacing the radiator, cylinder heads and gaskets as well as many other components. Per the dealership, there was a code that stated an overheating indicator showed approx 1000 miles prior to us bringing the vehicle in. The prior owner states that this indicator light never came on and it never came on for us either. When searching the recall database, our particular VIN does not appear to be included in the current recall, however the part number in question on the recall matches the part number the dealer is citing as the underlying issue which caused the engine failure and for the extended warranty to not cover the replacement. As for safety, the failure happened on a very busy highway requiring us to sit on the side of the road for several hours until we could get a tow company. The vehicle is currently at the dealer and they have plenty of documentation / photos of the damage and failed parts. No insurance company or police have been involved.Read more

On October 25th, 2025 my husband and I were driving home on the freeway. All of a sudden, without any warning notice or check engine light, my hybrid 2023 Jeep caught on fire as we were in it driving down the freeway. The fire started under the hood and under us. Flames were coming up the sides of the Jeep as we drove and were getting bigger then coming in the vents and under the hood. My husb
... and pulled the Jeep over to the shoulder and we quickly got out and away from the Jeep and called 911 for help. Cars were still driving down the freeway as the Jeep was engulfed in flames. Our safety was put at high risk since we were driving on the freeway at highway speeds and the Jeep caught on fire without any warning and my husband and I were sitting inside the Jeep traveling while it was actively on fire and getting worse. We were located right by the fire as we were driving. It was under us, in front of us and growing around us. Others were put at risk because there was a large fire on the side of the freeway as other vehicles were driving by. A semi truck almost hit the median in the freeway when it probably noticed what was going on. Further, vehicles were driving in the right hand lane right beside the active fire. My Jeep was sparking, throwing flames and some things exploded. Jeep hybrids have had problems and my Jeep has had many recalls and problems. Stellantis was involved with the last few dealership service visits. The Jeep was not charging so a new charging system was put in it at the dealership. The Jeep had a red turtle come on as I was driving and it drastically slowed my speed down suddenly. I pulled over and then my Jeep turned off and would not start again for hours. The dealership, with Stellantis involved, put in a new rechargeable battery. I am reporting a safety concern involving my 2025 Chevrolet Trax 2RS (VIN: [XXX] ). Prior to the visit, the system worked but was malfunctioning— the dashboard displayed the green lane symbol, and the activation button engaged the feature. After service, the symbol no longer appears, and the button lights up but does not activate the system. This change was not authorized, not documented in the repair order, and was never disclosed to me. The engine failed due to coolant infiltration, which caused catastrophic damage and required a full engine replacement. After failed multiple phone check-ins then finally going to Conyers Nissan, the shop foreman confirmed the problem on October 13, 2025, and determined that the engine must be replaced. To my knowledge, the vehicle has not yet been inspected by Nissan Corporate, insurance representatives, or law enforcement. There were no dashboard warning lamps, error messages, or prior symptoms before the failure. The vehicle had been operating normally until October 9, 2025, when it suddenly became difficult to start and then emitted smoke. All maintenance has been completed according to Nissan guidelines. The incident occurred on October 9, 2025, when the vehicle had 35,855 miles. It has remained at the dealership since that date. Despite the proposed engine replacement and any other associated component, I no longer feel safe operating this vehicle, particularly with my child onboard, due to the severity and suddenness of the failure. We took a trip from Daleville, Alabama to Las Vegas, Nevada. Before we left, We took my 2019 RAM 2500 Bighorn diesel pickup to our local Ram dealership, Mitchel Chrysler Dodge in Enterprise, Alabama to have it inspected, to make sure there wouldn't be any problems along the way. They cleared it, and said there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. On my way, the steering wheel position started slipp

So I took it to the closest RAM dealership, in Lawton Oklahoma, and they stated "needs a steering Gearbox replacement" and it would take two weeks to get the part, and then fix it. They told me it would be safe to drive. When I got to Las Vegas, at that point it was at the seven O'clock position. We took it to Chapman RAM dealership and they told me it was a loose jam nut and it had stripped the drag link. During the diagnosis they broke they clockspring on the air bag. They quoted that to fix the vehicle it would cost over three thousand dollars! They said it would not be covered on my mopar extended warranty. So I began researching it and found the recall- V06/NHTSA 19V-021 drag link for 2017-2018 (DJ) RAM 2500 pickup. My RAM was built in June of 2019. How can this still be a problem 6 months later after the recall ended? My safety and the safety of others could have been compromised if the drag link would have completely pulled out. I could have lost control of the vehicle and it could have caused a serious crash ending in injury or death to myself, and others.Read more

My 2017 Ram 1500 suffered a complete failure of the electronic power steering (EPS). The truck became unsafe to drive — steering assist cut out suddenly, and warning lights appeared. A professional mechanic removed the rack-and-pinion and found it completely filled with water and mud, despite no external damage. I’m asking NHTSA to push for a full recall expansion and hold FCA accountable. This is a serious safety issue with real consequences. Sun visor fell off while driving a 2nd time, the first times was repaired under warranty at about 5k miles A quick google search will show this is a common enough problem, in multiple models, that there is an aftermarket fix for visors for rams and jeeps.
