Despite multiple repair attempts, the vehicle continues to experience significant, recurring issues that substantially impair its use, value, and safety. Since purchase in April from Hebert’s Town and Country, the vehicle has been in service nine (9) times, totaling approximately 50 days out of service. The last four service visits were for the same issue and the same diagnostic fault code, demo
... nstrating a persistent, unresolved defect. The check engine light is currently illuminated again. The primary unresolved issues include: recurring check engine light with repeated fault codes, multiple battery replacements, the vehicle being completely inoperable and requiring towing, and the auto start/stop system shutting the vehicle off and failing to restart while stopped in traffic. These conditions present clear safety concerns and have persisted despite repeated repair attempts by authorized RAM dealerships. All service records and diagnostic reports are available for review. This vehicle was previously submitted to arbitration. While the arbitrator acknowledged manufacturing defects, the conclusion that the defects did not substantially impair the vehicle and were “separate and distinct” is inconsistent with the diagnostic evidence. The repeated appearance of the same fault code across multiple visits indicates a single, recurring nonconformity rather than unrelated issues. Since the arbitration decision, the vehicle has continued to experience the same problem and has been returned for additional repairs. The vehicle is now awaiting inspection by a manufacturer field engineer due to the dealership’s inability to diagnose or permanently repair the defect, further confirming that prior repair attempts have failed. In good faith, I contacted the manufacturer’s retention team to seek alternative resolution options, including replacement or trade-in, which were denied. Please confirm receipt of this request in writing and advise on next steps.Read more

I am writing to formally report a serious and ongoing defect with my 2025 Volkswagen ID.4, purchased 3 months and 2 days ago and currently located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Since purchase, the vehicle has experienced at least eight 8 separate failures of the infotainment / central display system, which controls essential vehicle functions including climate control, audio, vehicle settings, and camera
... systems. Description of the defect: The central display intermittently: •freezes. •becomes unresponsive. •shuts down completely. •or fails to boot properly. When this occurs, I lose control of critical vehicle functions, including climate control and camera access, which raises significant safety and usability concerns. Key concerns: •The vehicle is new and under full factory warranty. •The defect is repetitive, unresolved, and not isolated. •This is not a cosmetic issue, but a functional failure of systems essential to vehicle operation. •The frequency and persistence of this issue raise concerns regarding vehicle reliability and compliance with safety expectations. Given the number of occurrences within a very short ownership period, I am formally requesting that PLEASE Volkswagen: 1.Open an official case regarding this defect 2.Provide a permanent repair solution (not a temporary reset), and 3.Advise on next steps should this defect continue, including remedies available under warranty and applicable consumer protection / Lemon Law provisions. Please I ask for your support. I am prepared to provide service records, videos, dates of failure, and VIN information upon request. I expect this matter to be handled with the urgency appropriate for a repeated defect affecting essential vehicle systems in a new vehicle.Read more

The BSD or blind spot detection has worked intermittently since purchasing it new. Ive been honked at when merging into other vehicles on the highway several times. I drove the service advisor with me and the problem was recreated 4 times. I was told the system was working normally and no errors detected. Also the system was only supposed to alert me to cars passing me from behind, not to car I had passed or cars "captured" in my blind spot. As it turns out, when I merged onto the highway, a car matching my entry speed was " captured" in my blind spot and I nearly hit it because the BSD failed. On [XXX] at [XXX] I was backing out of a driveway when my 2016 Prius V5 accelerated on its own. When I applied the brakes, nothing happened. I hit a curb, which flattened the front passenger tire. In order to get the car to stop, I took it out of gear and put it in neutral. The car finally came to a stop. My speed while backing out of the driveway was less than 5 mph. It accelerated to about 15 mp
... h. I was told that because the tire flattened due to the force of impact with the curb, Toyota considered it an accident. Toyota had me complete an "Unintended Acceleration" form so they could investigate the situation. A case number ([XXX]) was assigned. I was also told that I needed to contact Toyota's Brand Engagement Center at (800) 331-4331. Toyota assigned Engineering Analysis Associates (EAA) to perform a thorough inspection and read out the Event Data Recorder (EDR) of my vehicle at Findlay Toyota. Anne Chapman with EAA did the inspection and sent a copy of the report to me on 09/15/25, the day of the inspection. She suggested that I keep the copy because I may need it if I needed to contact an attorney. My insurance company, USAA, sent an adjuster to examine the extent of the damage. Findlay Collision Center completed the repairs on 09/26/25, which cost $3,433.92. The accelerator nor the brakes were addressed. On 10/09/25, Toyota provided a response to the incident: they were not at fault. They claimed operator error. Unintended acceleration and unresponsive brakes have been an issue with Toyota's in the past. At that time, instead of fixing the problem, they told dealerships to educate their buyers on how to take the car out of gear. Approximately one week after picking up my car from the repair shop, the vehicle accelerated on its own again. Fortunately, the brakes worked this time. Because I felt very unsafe, I got rid of the car shortly after that incident. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

While operating the vehicle, the steering system suddenly developed a fault with no prior warning. A "Changed Steering Effort" warning appeared on the dashboard, immediately followed by significant resistance in the steering wheel and violent mechanical shuddering/oscillation. This resulted in a sudden, dangerous difficulty in maneuvering the vehicle. Despite the 2024 BMW iX and related models (5
... /7 Series) having known internal steering gear manufacturing defects (referencing SIB 32 01 24 and Recall 24V-714), the dealership is attempting to deny warranty coverage. They are attributing the failure to a tear in the rack boot, despite no evidence of impact to the surrounding undercarriage. The sudden electronic onset of the failure suggests an internal safety defect consistent with widespread reports on this model year, rather than environmental damage. There is significant online anecdotal evidence of this same issue occurring with 2023 and 2024 iX models, despite the above SIB only covering certain 2021 and 2022 models.Read more
