The MGU on my Ram 1500 failed while driving down a main road in my town. A rattling noise started and the check engine light turned on and I called the dealership that same day to have it serviced. The dealership could not get me in for a few days so I did not drive the truck again until the day I could take it in. On my way to the dealership I got a half mile down the road from my house and all s
... orts of warning lights started flashing and the truck turned the emergency brake on itself as I was driving down the road. This put in a lot of danger because I was stuck and couldn’t get the car to start or even shift anymore and was stuck in the roadway. I had the truck towed to the dealership and they said this has been a common issue with the Ram Etorque engines, so the part is on back order and will take 7 months to get replacement. I feel if Ram knows this is a common issue for such a major component leading to such potential danger, they should recall this vehicle.Read more

The 2017 Lincoln MKC requires a full engine replacement due to a serious, well-documented defect: coolant intrusion. This is a major issue that can destroy critical engine components, including the head gasket, cylinders, and even the engine block. Ford/Lincoln is aware of this problem. They issued multiple TSBs (22-2133 and 22-2229, to name a few), yet customers are not informed. Because there is
... no recall, if the car is out of warranty, dealers refuse to perform the necessary repairs unless the customer pays tens of thousands of dollars for something that is a known manufacturing defect, leaving them vulnerable to catastrophic engine failure and potential accidents, injuries or worse. This is a known manufacturing defect, and consumers should not bear responsibility for the resulting safety hazards. Ford/Lincoln must take immediate action and issue a recall before it leads to serious injuries or fatalities.Read more

Vehicle unexpectedly stalled 10/5/2024 while driving at 45 mph on a highway. It would not restart. We were able to get to the side of the road and call for a tow truck. It was towed to the dealer where we purchased. It sat in the parking lot for a few days and they were able to restart it. The dealer could not find anything wrong. On 12/19/2025 the vehicle again unexpectedly stalled doing 50
... mph on a three lane highway. It would not start. With a lot of beeping and cutting off upset drivers we were able to get the car off the road. We again had it towed to the dealer where we bought it new. They found there was a faulty fuel pump driver module. They replaced the module and we picked up and paid $386.62. It seems to be running fine now, but found this issue is a recall for many equinoxes with the same car years but my vin is not listed in the recall. I also see the replacement modules are being recalled. This is a dangerous situation for myself, my family, passengers and others on the road. This vehicle dies with no warning. No lights go on. It just plain stops running. No one should have to pay for this repair no matter the vin. Note this equinox has less than 60,000 miles on it.Read more
