I recently purchased this vehicle from a dealer in FL, but unknown to me at the time was the headlight adjuster on driver side was broken, causing the aim to drop to the bottom limit. Incident date: Nov 25, 2025
While operating the vehicle, the engine shut off unexpectedly and without warning while the vehicle was in traffic. In one incident, the vehicle was stopped at a traffic light and, when the accelerator was pressed after the light turned green, the engine cut off and the transmission automatically shifted into PARK. The vehicle became disabled in active traffic with other vehicles behind it. A simi
... lar incident occurred previously in a parking lot. The vehicle began sputtering and then shut off when shifted into reverse, again forcing the transmission into PARK. These events occurred after the vehicle had recently been returned from an authorized dealership where it was reported that all issues were repaired. The malfunction appears to involve the engine, electrical system, and powertrain, specifically a loss of engine power combined with an unintended automatic shift into PARK. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request and is currently back at an authorized dealership for service. These failures placed my safety and the safety of others at risk by leaving the vehicle suddenly disabled in traffic, blocking lanes, and creating a risk of rear-end collision. One incident occurred during morning rush hour with surrounding vehicles, increasing the risk to other motorists. The problem has occurred multiple times and has been reported to and inspected by authorized dealerships on several occasions. Diagnostic testing, software/system updates, electrical inspections, and component replacements have been performed. Despite these inspections and repair attempts, the problem continues and has not been resolved. Prior to and during the failures, warning messages and alerts appeared on the dashboard, including repeated ParkSense warnings and other system alerts. In some instances, additional warning messages appeared at the time of the shutdown. These warnings have occurred intermittently since earlier service visits. This is in regards to Recall #C4B for the ABS/HCU failure on my 2017 RAM. This recall was issued over a year ago in November of 2024, but Stellantis has yet to DO ANYTHING and can't even tell us when a remedy will be available. I have asked my local dealership and get the same answer, NOTHING!!! The parts must be available, because the dealership told me that I could purchase the part from them
... and pay them to install it. But, I would have to then wait to get reimbursed from Stellantis once the recall is "remedied". Two problems with this; 1) I don't have the $1500+ to spend on this, and 2) I don't trust them to ever pay me back! But, this does tell me that they have the parts. Plus, they have no trouble making and selling new vehicles with parts that don't have this safety failure. Can you make them prioritize this recall and take car of the thousands of RAM trucks with this safety issue. BTW, last month my brother-in-law was driving my truck on I-25 through Denver, CO. He hit an icy spot and lost traction causing him to go into a 360 spin. God was looking over him because he did hit anything or anyone. THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED IF THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM WOULD HAVE BEEN WORKING. STELLANTIS CAME VERY CLOSE TO BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS DEATH!!!Read more

INCIDENT SUMMARY: On [XXX], I brought my 2019 Audi e-tron (VIN: [XXX] , 70k miles) to Audi Salt Lake City for Safety Recall 93U9 (High Voltage Battery Module). Vehicle was functioning normally with no warning lights or electrical issues. IMPROPER RECALL COMPLETION: The dealership's technician (Chris Miller, [XXX] ) documented in the service notes: "I FOUND THE GROUNDING STRAP FOR THE REAR MOTOR WA
... S NOT INSTALLED AND WAS TUCKED UP BETWEEN THE MOTOR AND THE COVERS." This proves the technician failed to properly reinstall the critical grounding strap during recall service, leaving it disconnected in the high voltage system. IMMEDIATE FAILURES AFTER RECALL: Following the recall service, multiple critical failures occurred: Voltage converter failure (part #4KE-907-171-C) Battery charging malfunction (limited to 100 miles range vs normal 200+ miles) Multiple stored fault codes and dashboard warning lights Rear drive motor faults Parking brake system failures All failures are consistent with loss of proper grounding in a high voltage EV system. SAFETY CONCERNS: The technician drove my vehicle 55 miles during service (odometer: 70,651 IN to 70,706 OUT). Why didn't they notice the warning lights during this excessive test drive? Operating a high voltage EV with improper grounding creates risk of electrical fire, shock hazard, and component damage. How many other vehicles at this dealership had recall 93U9 improperly completed? DEALER RESPONSE: Dealership attempted to charge me $2,089 for repairs caused by their incomplete recall work. When I disputed, the General Manager threatened to call police if I didn't return the loaner vehicle. No repairs were ever authorized by me. INVESTIGATION REQUESTED: Please investigate Audi Salt Lake City's recall 93U9 completion procedures and quality control. This is negligent completion of federal safety recall work that endangered my safety and may affect other e-tron INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I recently discovered a significant oil leak near the exhaust manifold of my 2018 Mazda 6 (2.5L NA), which has resulted in visible smoke and a burning oil odor. Upon taking the vehicle to the nearest Mazda dealership for a diagnosis, the service department informed me that the vehicle has suffered a cracked cylinder head. An active oil drip is visible behind the engine near the exhaust manifold im
... mediately upon starting the car; consequently, the engine is leaking oil directly onto the exhaust components. This condition not only renders the vehicle inoperable but also presents a significant safety and fire hazard. At the time of this writing, my vehicle has only 46,996 miles and has been meticulously maintained. This mileage is well under the 60,000-mile powertrain threshold and represents a premature failure of a major internal engine component. There are numerous reports on Mazda owner forums describing this identical issue occurring in Mazda 6, CX-5, and CX-9 models. Some owners have even reported instances of minor fires or active burning under the hood due to oil contacting hot engine components. Mazda released Technical Service Bulletin TSB #MC-10241612-0001 (SA-037-23), which includes a redesigned cylinder head for 2018–2020 Mazda 6, 2019 CX-5, and 2016–2020 CX-9 models, demonstrating Mazda’s awareness of this design flaw. While the TSB currently only specifies the 2.5L Turbo engines and not the naturally aspirated variants, there is substantial evidence that this is a widespread defect across these model years, unrelated to owner misuse or vehicle mileage. Mazda should take full responsibility by issuing a formal recall or providing an extended warranty to cover naturally aspirated engines, thereby addressing this problem and preventing further safety risks.Read more

The front right brake caliper on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler was installed upside down from the factory, with the bleeder screw located at the bottom of the caliper instead of the top. The vehicle has been serviced exclusively at authorized Jeep dealerships since new, with no prior front brake work, confirming this was a factory assembly defect and not the result of repair or modification. Because the
... bleeder screw is positioned at the bottom, air cannot be fully purged from the hydraulic system, which can result in incomplete bleeding, reduced braking performance, uneven pad wear, brake drag, or brake fade. This condition compromises the ability to properly service the braking system and may negatively affect braking effectiveness, creating a potential safety hazard, especially during emergency braking. The defect was discovered during routine inspection when brake performance and wear were evaluated (12-11-25). Photographs and dealership service records are available documenting the inverted caliper and confirming no prior disassembly.Read more
