The loss of steering and braking effectiveness could have resulted in severe injury or fatality. The rollover demonstrates a critical safety concern. We were about to enter the freeway, and if this had happened there, the outcome could have been catastrophic. There were no warning lights or alerts of any kind. It happened completely out of the blue. We had the car towed to the dealer in Santa Barbara, where no problem was found. We then took it to the dealer in Thousand Oaks, where we purchased it, and again no problem was found. The vehicle’s black box was checked, but because the car was traveling under 5 mph at the time, nothing was recorded. We contacted Chrysler and reported the issue. So far, no action has been taken, and for the past week they have not even returned our calls. The incident occurred on [XXX]. We cannot drive this car. This issue appears to be widely reported nationwide (I was told by Landers Dodge in Norman, OK that the part is on backorder, and that there are currently 4,678 on Back Order. They also said that they’ve had a RAM there since last Oct. 2025 (this was on 12/12/2025 at 12pm) among vehicles equipped with the eTorque system, indicating a potential systemic defect affecting vehicle operability and safety. On January 14, 2026, while starting my 2025 RAM 3500 with approximately 4,000 miles on the vehicle, the digital instrument cluster completely failed to function. After the engine started and the vehicle was running, the dashboard continued to display “Press Brake and Press Button to Start,” as if the vehicle had not started. All gauges and indicators were inoperative, including the speedometer
... , tachometer, warning lights, and vehicle information displays. Although the vehicle could be driven and exterior turn signals were functioning, there was no indication on the instrument cluster. No speed, engine RPM, or warning alerts were visible to the driver. After driving the vehicle home and allowing it to sit for a period of time, the vehicle was restarted and the instrument cluster returned to normal operation, indicating an intermittent failure. Based on known issues reported with digital instrument cluster failures, this appears to be a potential electrical and/or software-related defect. In addition to the instrument cluster failure, the vehicle has experienced electrical issues related to trailer lighting. When towing a new trailer equipped with LED lights, the running lights would not function when connected to this truck, although the trailer lighting worked properly when connected to other vehicles. The trailer was taken to the manufacturer’s shop for a full inspection, which confirmed the trailer was functioning properly and identified the truck as the source of the issue. On January 12, 2026, during an oil change service, the trailer lighting issue was reported to the dealership. When the technician connected a diagnostic tester to the truck’s trailer wiring connection, portions of the connection began to smoke. The dealership determined there was a defect in the truck’s electrical system and ordered a replacement component. The most likely solution stated to Replace High Pressure Fuel Pump. This is the first time this has occurred. This is the same issue that a recalled was done in 2023 on the 2013-2016 CRV, but my VIN was not part of that recalled. I called my local honda dealer to verify if my vehicle was part of the recalled and was told it wasn't. I hope we can get this resolved before someone gets hurt or my family get in an accident. The driver pulled to the side of the road and immediately exited the vehicle. The tow truck driver used a fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire. None of the air bags deployed. The driver did not sustain any injuries. The contact stated that the damage by the fire was isolated to one side of the engine, by the heater of the relay intake on the driver side. The wires that were connected to the relay were damaged. The fire department was called. The police were called and arrived after the fire was extinguished. It was unknown if a police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the business location. The contact owns a vehicle electrical shop and determined that the fire was electrical. There was no damage to the vehicle that was towed. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The insurance company was not notified. Vehicle alerted Electric Vehicle System problem on the dashboard. Dealer determined the ICCU and a fuse needs to be replaced again. Dealer has declined to replace the ICCU under the current recall stating it was already replaced 8 months prior. Vehicle is not usable in current condition due to a faulty ICCU.

The dealer diagnosed the vehicle that an interlock casing, fuse, and relay that had melted, and that the switches were not responding, but could not confirm what caused the failure. The contact learned that the vehicle was previously included in a recall for another junction box that had been repaired. The contact was unable to provide the recall campaign. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 18,000.Read more

ABS,BRAKE Warning lights on. Brakes locked up during emergency stop which resulted in loss of steering control. Cleared ABS code and it immediately reappears. Appears ABS Module is defective. When I called dealership to order ABS module was told not available due to engineering hold. I know other year Ram models have active recall on same issue and component.

The infotainment system screens go black sometimes for no reason. Been to the dealer to fix and they said they can’t duplicate the issue. Yet I have pictures and videos to prove it. The drivers assist systems turn themselves off when there is nothing blocking the cameras. ... system is horrible. The traction control will turn on with cruise set and completely dry roads. But when it’s actively raining it slips and slides and hydroplanes do without activating any system to counteract it. The charger door was broken when I bought the vehicle and had to have it replaced. The charger itself sometimes says it can’t charge for some reason and I have to unplug it and plug it back in. The heater doesn’t get warm unless cranked to the highest setting otherwise it blows colder air. The dealership I took it to literally said they don’t want me to bring it in there anymore and to go to another dealership because and I quote “those guys know nothing about EVs so fuck them go to another dealership” the next closest dealership is 2 hours away and I work full time including weekends. So tell me how I’m supposed to make that work? The charger is now having an issue where it doesn’t charge and I have to remove the charger and plug it back in.Read more

Every month I am receiving a check engine light for abs / traction control / failure. Dealer states HPU unit is bad, however I noticed all the fuses in the fuse box were loose. I pushed them in to reseat and the error cleared. This happens monthly. This last time happened during a snow storm and disabled abs.

The infotainment system, which also allows for use of backup cameras and safety alerts went black and has ceased working. Despite a technician diagnosing it to see if it was a simple fix. It looks like a complete malfunction of the unit.
