I own a 2022 Ram 1500 with a 5.7-liter V8 equipped with the eTorque (mild hybrid) system. On October 24, 2025, at approximately 1:30 p.m., I was driving southbound on I-25 when the battery warning light illuminated, followed by several other warning indicators on the dashboard. Shortly thereafter, the dashboard went completely dark, and I suddenly lost power steering. At that point, the truck was
... moving only on momentum. While I was able to brake and activate my emergency hazard lights, the vehicle eventually came to a stop on its own in a lane in the middle of the highway. Fortunately, traffic was moving slowly due to it being a Friday afternoon. This was a frightening and dangerous experience, particularly due to the sudden loss of power steering. I could have collided with another vehicle, or another vehicle could have struck me. I feared for my safety during this incident. The truck was eventually towed to a nearby Ram dealership, where the battery was replaced. I was informed that the battery had failed and, as a result, caused the entire vehicle to shut down. Approximately two months later, I began hearing a ticking noise from the engine—commonly referred to as the “Chrysler tick.” I had to return the vehicle to the dealership for a second time. Ram ultimately replaced the engine; however, I was required to pay approximately $3,000 out of pocket for the repair. Given these serious and costly issues, I am no longer confident in the reliability of the brand.Read more

The engine cylinder head developed a crack causing coolant leak, causing the coolant system to lose fluid. The leak originated from a hairline crack in the cylinder head, which has been confirmed by an independent, certified mechanic. The vehicle remained drivable initially, but a loss of coolant could lead to engine overheating, and catch on fire or smoke creating a potential safety hazard for th
... e driver and others on the road. The vehicle was inspected at an authorized dealership at the direction of the manufacturer, which performed a teardown to diagnose the issue. After this inspection, additional engine components (timing chain and head gasket) were identified as damaged, though these failures were not present prior to the teardown. Other users facing similar leak issues were treated the same by dealership blaming other component issue and disregarding the visible crack. This defect appears to affect multiple vehicles of the same engine, as reported by other owners nationwide. Warning signs included coolant loss, which could escalate into a larger safety risk if not addressed. I have attached few user complains but if needed I can provide lot more user complaints around the nation as it is never ending.Read more

Subject: URGENT: Investigation Request – Systemic Loss of Propulsion in Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Vehicles (2017–2026). 1. Description of Defect I am formally reporting a critical, life-threatening safety defect involving the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and the Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) in Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) vehicles. These modules suffer from spontaneous software "resets" or
... "reboot" loops during operation. When the PCM resets, it severs communication with the fuel system, causing an immediate and total loss of propulsion (motive power). 2. Safety Hazard and Real-World Impact This defect triggers without warning at highway speeds, resulting in vehicles stopping abruptly in high-speed lanes. This creates a "sitting duck" scenario, rendering the vehicle unable to move to a shoulder and significantly increasing the risk of catastrophic rear-end collisions and multi-vehicle pileups. Reported incidents include near-misses and accidents directly attributed to this sudden stalling. 3. Timeline of Manufacturer Awareness (2017 – Present) JLR has been aware of this specific PCM/FPDM communication failure since at least 2017. Internal documentation, such as NHTSA Technical Bulletin SB-10095121-1020, identified short circuits in the PCM/FPDM line for 2017 F-PACE and XE models. Subsequent bulletins, including MC-10218879-0001, admit that software "flashing" is ineffective and that FPDM hardware replacement is often required. Despite nearly a decade of internal knowledge, JLR has failed to initiate a comprehensive global safety recall for all affected VINs, opting instead for localized "Service Actions" that do not permanently resolve the hardware instability. 4. International Context and Manufacturer Inaction The Chinese State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) has already summoned JLR officials regarding these stalling failures. However, JLR has not provided a verified, permanent solution. 5. Demand for Action We demand an immediate, multi-agencyRead more

Since purchasing this vehicle brand new off the truck, we have had it back at the dealership multiple times ,we've taken it for the plug in console not working for firesticks, a sensor not working on the passenger side door and claiming it to be open, the sliding door not working correctly, the doors locking and refusing to unlock, battery draining, ac not working, stalling, dying at lights, slamm

With that being said, it is considered a safety hazard to drive this vehicle with the condition the steering column is in." Fortunately I had a lot of weight in the truck when this happened and I was able to control it, but a malfunction that turns on the full exhaust brake, especially while 4x4 is engaged, is dangerous enough that there is a warning in the manual. This happened twice. I had a solid check engine light on, and the following day while waiting for a service appointment, a slew of new warnings were flashing across the screen, locking the transmission in 6th gear, advising the 4x4 was no longer available, and may others. I attempted to shift from drive to reverse, the gear shifter locked itself in park. I shut the truck off to try restarting it and moving it, but there was no power getting to the truck to use the sos button to call for help in a poor cell reception area, no lighting worked while obstructing half of a travel lane on the roadway. The truck had good voltage prior to this. The truck was towed to the dealer with 5100 miles on it.Read more

I was driving when an "Electrical Fault Detected" warning came on. The car's instructions were to pull over as soon as possible, as the car's electrical system was draining the battery and the car could shut down within a few miles. We had the car towed to a repair shop where they ran tests on the car and replaced the battery. This did not fix the issue, and they came back a day later to find the
... brand new battery had drained. I then had it towed to another repair shop who replaced the alternator but that didn't solve the problem so they had it towed to the dealer. The dealer discovered that the DC converter in the car is bad, but said they have 5 cars in the shop with the exact same problem and the part is backordered without an ETA. I frequently drive late at night or early in the morning between a small town and a city for work. It's 100 miles each way, most of which is either in mountains with poor cell service or an interstate with a speed limit of 80 MpH. During this time of year, the temperatures in this area are often well below freezing. Had this issue happened on one of these drives, I could have very well been stranded with only a few minutes of warning with a high risk of hypothermia or even death. Had it happened on the interstate, the car would have lost complete power, including the steering, endangering not only my life, but my family and anyone else driving nearby. Land Rover has acknowledged in their notifications to dealer service departments that this is a known issue, but they have not issued a recall. I strongly believe this is a HUGE safety risk and that Land Rover should be held accountable for correcting this issue in all affected cars. They are endangering the lives of their customers and anyone who is on the road near Land Rover vehicles. NOTE: The doc provided in this submission is for an alternator change out that was done because of this electrical issue. The DC converter, which is where the true issue is, will be thousands as well.Read more

Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I experienced a sudden and severe brake system failure that created an immediate safety hazard. While driving at low speed, the brake pedal traveled to the floor with little to no braking response. The vehicle could not decelerate normally and required significantly increased stopping distance, placing me and other motorists at risk of a collision. Following
... the incident, the vehicle was evaluated by an independent service provider. Diagnostic results indicated a brake fluid level fault, and findings were consistent with a failing master cylinder and/or internal hydraulic brake system malfunction. Although the brake fluid reservoir appeared full, braking performance was critically compromised, indicating an internal failure rather than routine wear or maintenance. There were no warning lamps, messages, or alerts prior to the failure. No brake warning light or other indication of reduced braking capability was present. The failure occurred without advance notice, eliminating any opportunity for preventive action by the driver. The vehicle had recently passed a state safety inspection and was represented as roadworthy at the time of sale. A vehicle with an internal hydraulic brake failure or compromised master cylinder should not pass inspection or be certified for use on public roads. Due to the seriousness of the defect and the immediate safety risk, the vehicle was returned to the dealer. Prior to return, no tow assistance was provided despite the known brake defect, requiring limited operation of a vehicle with unsafe braking capability and further increasing public safety risk. The defective condition was confirmed by an independent source and was reproducible in that braking performance was unreliable. Although the vehicle has been returned, this incident raises concern that similar vehicles may experience sudden brake failure without warning, posing a serious crash and injury risk to the public.Read more

When turn signal is engaged (left, right, or hazard,) the normal turn signal sound randomly changes pitch and tone. This is an intermittent problem. Dealership has updated software which did not fix the problem. The signal lights work but the sound makes it seem as if there is a warning other than a normal turn signal sound. There are at least two social media posts about this exact issue on a 202

2014 Ford Escape backup camera work intermittently and says it needs repaired. Not under the current and verified with the dealership that it would be over $600.00 fix possibly. This should be included under the current recall as it seems to be a computer malfunction or a coincidence that it started roughly around the same time that current recall has been in effect. Dangerous after relying on

Following a manufacturer over-the-air (OTA) software update released in Fall 2025 and subsequent completion of Safety Recall 68C, my vehicle exhibits new and dangerous driving behavior that did not exist prior to these updates. While operating in electric mode, the vehicle can unexpectedly lose power during acceleration, including at roadway speeds and while climbing hills, creating a risk of sudd
... en deceleration in traffic. Under electric operation, the vehicle accelerates normally up to approximately 45 mph. Beyond that point, electric power output progressively decreases even as accelerator input is maintained or increased. Vehicle speed can decline while the accelerator is further depressed, and the electric power indicator visibly drops. This often results in abrupt internal combustion engine (ICE) engagement, aggressive downshifting, and sudden acceleration. This loss-and-surge behavior is unpredictable and hazardous, particularly in traffic or on inclines. Prior to the OTA update and recall action, the vehicle provided consistent electric power well beyond 45 mph, and ICE engagement was smooth and nearly imperceptible. I consistently achieved approximately 22–23 miles of electric range on the same daily route. Post-update and post-recall, usable electric range has been reduced to approximately 14–15 miles under similar conditions, regardless of weather. The issue also occurs at low speeds, including complete loss of electric momentum while climbing hills, followed by harsh ICE engagement that can cause wheel spin. This behavior raises safety concerns related to power loss and unexpected acceleration. Based on the timing and nature of these changes, I am concerned that software updates may be intentionally limiting battery power output and usable capacity to reduce stress on potentially defective high-voltage batteries rather than correcting the underlying hardware defect. This materially alters vehicle performance and safety and requires investigation.Read more
