Replaced the frozen suspension last year. Now that it’s cold again, similar codes are being thrown with new ones: Service Trailer Brake System, Service Air Suspension System, Service Electronic Braking System. To note, I’ve had a “Check Fuel Cap” code for years. It’s tied to 3 sensors along the fuel tank and absolutely nothing to do with the fuel cap itself. For the air suspension sensor
... s (WHICH I’VE ALREADY REPLACED ONCE), and the fuel cap sensors— they all run nearly $300 a pop and that isn’t including labor. I personally cannot financially keep up with the vehicle’s maintenance costs. The fact that Canada had a class action lawsuit against FCA for the air suspension but we don’t is baffling. I pray nothing comes from these defective parts because I will be suing.Read more

Engine failure while on highway traffic in construction zone caused engine shut off, losing power steering and odd braking. I was driving on a split 4 lane highway (2 lanes each direction), with a large ditch median between the directional lanes. My direction had construction cones for several miles limiting traffic to 1 lane, still at a 65 MPH speed limit with heavy semi traffic. The right
... lane was closed for construction, so all traffic was lined in left lane, though maintaining the speed limit. A few hundred yards into the construction my check engine light came on, and then after a minute or so it started blinking but there was no place to pull over safely. I reduced speed and semi traffic was lining up behind me. Then the engine and rest of car shut off, losing power steering. I ended up weaving into the construction part and was finally able to stop but not without danger to myself and others. Motor would restart but sounded terrible and I did not feel safe driving further and did not have faith it would make it far, especially since I'd have to re-enter the highway construction traffic. I had it towed to local mechanic, who diagnosed the problem as a piston rod bearing spin/stuck, or in other words a spun/slipped rod/crank bearing.Read more

The truck automatically engages the parking brake ONLY when on an incline, never at any other time. I am so used to engaging the parking brake at all other times I also engage it when on an incline. 10L1000 transmission, began having problems with delays and harsh gear engagement. Flare shifting and shuddering. Finally starting having transmission overheating issues while towing. I had to make several unsafe stops with a trailer to wait for the transmission to cool down again before continuing to get it home. Saw trans temps up to 240°F on flat land with 40° outside temps. I could smell the
... hot transmission fluid inside the truck. When I went to check the fluid level of the transmission, the fluid was full but had a large amount of glitter like metallic flakes. The fluid was very dark brown in color and smelled terribly burnt. The last recall I took in to the dealer for was about the transmissions possibility of failing, locking up, along with the rear wheels at any speed. I have young children that ride in this truck, that in it self was unsettling and unsafe. But then to have issues with absolutely no warning light was concerning. Ive since ordered an aftermarket built transmission to avoid repeating the same issues with a factory GM replacement. My factory warranty had also ended a few months prior to having these problems with it. Leaving me to completely foot the bill for it to be replaced. Trailer King RST 235/80R16: six of them on a triple axle boat trailer. Was towing a boat and experienced a blowout on the passenger rear trailer tire, of which we did not hit a pothole or strike debris. It bent the boat trailer fender and damaged several components of the trailer. It was identified by Discount Tire that the passenger side lead tire experienced belt separation, which is a manufactu
... rer defect and was most likely the cause of the passenger side rear trailer tire to blow out and cause excessive damage to the trailer. There are numerous other customers of this tire who experienced significant blowouts on their trailer, which poses a safety risk to all who own trailers with these Trailer King RST tires and those who travel the roads with them. The belt separation was confirmed by a third-party tire shop recognized nationally. I submitted a claim for the blown out tire with the company manufacturer, and they claim it was not due to manufacturer defect. Unicorn tire does not accept responsibility for the manufacturer defect, even though it was confirmed by the company discount tire. These trailer tires are unsafe. Bottom line: two of six trailer tires that were two years old and had less than 3000 miles on them experienced belt separation, one of which had a significant blowout that could’ve caused serious accidents. This is not an isolated case as other reviews have shown these tires to be unreliable and unsafe disregard the VIN associated with this complaint as it would not accept my trailer VIN.Read more

I am the original owner of a 2010 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport, 4 door, 4WD, with a 6' bed, VIN # [XXX] , with 215902 miles. During the replacement of the leaf springs on 1/27/26, under recall #14V-604, I was informed by the Toyota dealership that installed the leaf springs that there was extensive corrosion on various points on the frame to the point where it was unsafe to drive. The frame has develop

The corrosion is spreading across multiple points, making the vehicle unsafe and at risk of structural failure while driving. I called Toyota and they said the frame recall expired in 2022. I will be asking Toyota if they will still replace the frame as a "Goodwill " replacement. I told Toyota that I was never made aware of this recall or warranty extension and never received any letter regarding it. I did receive other recall notices for this VIN but none for the frame issues. I am waiting for a response from Toyota on what action they will take, if any, to support their product. At approximately 64,000 miles my engine light came on and I took it to a shop. Cylinder 2 was misfiring so we changed the spark plugs and coils. In May 2025, the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve failed on my 2016 Chevy Volt with approx. 60,000 kms / 40,000 miles on it - that cost me approximately $3,000 to fix. In my opinion that should have been covered under warranty given that it is a common failure point on second generation Volts. Note that the EGR value (OEM - Original Equipment Manufacturer) is a readily available part. In O
... ctober 2025, my BECM (Battery Energy Control Module) failed. Luckily, due to significant Volt owner complaints, GM was forced to provide a special warranty on this item, so the work that would have cost me approximately $4,000 was covered under this special warranty. The BECM is covered for my 2016 Chevy Volt until 2030. Note again that the BECM is a readily available OEM part. In December 2025 my Chevy Volt check engine light went on again, and this time the Chevy Dealership is telling me that the main hybrid battery needs to be replaced. However, GM decided in their infinite wisdom to discontinue production of the Chevy Volt battery, and so they can't even sell me a new hybrid battery, a critical component on this vehicle. My understanding is that the 2016-2019 Chevy Volt battery is the same part #24060122. The Chevy dealership has asked me to see if I can find a battery on my own, as their parts department cannot source one (GM used "York Electronics" in Canada). As a result, I am now left with trying to find a used/refurbished hybrid battery. If my Volt was a 2019 (the last year GM made the Volt), then this battery would be covered under warranty (8 years from in service date), yet GM wouldn't even be able to fix a 2018 or a 2019 Chevy Volt because they stopped making the battery for ALL Volts. How can a manufacturer get away with not even providing parts for 10 years (in my case), or 7 years (2019 Volt)? My only option seems to be to send a perfectly maintained car to the junkyard at 60,000 kms/40,000 miles. Never again will I buy GM.Read more

Usually the engine stays on, but on at least one occasion the engine turned off and I had to restart. This has happened at least five times total, including three times within the past month. The events have occurred while decelerating to a stop, braking but not stopping, and accelerating from a slow down. Each time, I experienced a sudden and unexpected loss of propulsion, requiring me to stop the vehicle in traffic, shift fully into Park, and then reselect Drive before the vehicle would move again. These incidents have occurred in active traffic situations and have placed me and others at risk of a collision due to the sudden loss of power (SEE DETAILS IN PDF). I previously brought the vehicle to a dealer for this issue after it had just occurred (~1 year ago, before the recent increase in frequency); however, the dealer stated that the vehicle did not throw a code, or no code was stored. They could not replicate the problem and no repair was made. There are at least 55 NHTSA complaints filed that appear the same as my issue; none appear to have been resolved by dealers or RAM. This appears to be a systemic safety defect involving the powertrain and electronic shifting system. The unexpected loss of propulsion in traffic presents a serious risk of injury or death. I am submitting this complaint due to the ongoing and unresolved safety concern. I am scared to drive my family in my vehicle until it is known to be fixed.Read more

Recall Remedy Failure NHTSA Recall Numbers: 25V-720 (67C) & 25V-552 (59C) I am reporting a failure by FCA US LLC to provide a timely remedy for Recall 25V-720. As of Jan 2026, the remedy remains "under development" since Oct 2025. Specific Safety Concerns for RV Owners: My vehicle is a 2022 Thor Tellaro motorhome. The admitted "Risk of Vehicle Fire" is critical because the vehicle contains propa
... ne and lithium/AGM battery systems. Despite the Part 573 report on the NHTSA server listing a "Do Not Drive. Park Outside" advisory, the manufacturer has failed to check these boxes on the consumer-facing summary and has broken links ("File Not Found") for the 67C technical documents on their owner portal. This lack of transparency and the 90+ day delay for a fire-risk remedy has rendered my vehicle unusable. I request that NHTSA investigate why these safety advisories are being obscured from consumers and force the manufacturer to provide a buy-back or immediate repair.Read more

I am filing this complaint regarding a deceptive business practice at Haddad Dodge Kia involving the falsification of official vehicle service records and the mishandling of safety-critical repairs. 1. Verification of Safety Defect: In December 2025, a technician at this dealership confirmed a failure in my vehicle's occupant restraint system (seat belts). Parts were ordered under warranty specif
... ically to address this safety risk. 2. Failure to Perform and Misrepresentation: On January 27, 2026, I dropped my vehicle off for the scheduled installation of these safety components. The dealership held my vehicle for 48 hours. During this time, Service Advisor Josh Kortkamp falsely stated via text that the vehicle was "disassembled" and the technician was working on it. Upon my arrival to retrieve the vehicle, I discovered it had never been touched, and my dash cam had been unplugged without my consent. 3. Falsification of Legal Documents (Fraud): After I terminated the service for non-performance, the dealership manually entered a status of "Customer Declined Repairs" into the official service record and the Stellantis national database. I have a timestamped Multi-Point Inspection (MPI) PDF showing the work was "Approved" by me. The "Declined" status is a fraudulent fabrication intended to: Mask the shop’s failure to perform authorized work. Shift legal liability for a known safety defect from the dealership/manufacturer to me. Create a false record of owner negligence that jeopardizes my Stellantis/Mopar Warranty standing. Desired Resolution: I request that the Attorney General’s office investigate these deceptive practices. I demand that the dealership be compelled to formally amend my vehicle's national service history to accurately reflect "Shop Non-Performance" rather than a "Customer Decline," and to provide written confirmation that my warranty standing remains intact despite their fraudulent reporting.Read more
