Component: Engine / Electrical System / Fuel System Incident Date: February 9th, 2026 Vehicle Speed: 45-50 MPH Description: While traveling at highway speeds on a major roadway, the vehicle experienced a catastrophic and sudden engine stall without any prior warning or dashboard indicators. The engine shut off completely while in motion, resulting in an immediate and total loss of power steering
... and power-assisted braking. I was forced to perform a high-effort emergency maneuver in heavy traffic to reach the shoulder and avoid a collision. This vehicle is used to transport myself, my coworker and my family whose lives was placed in immediate danger by this failure. Since the start of the financing agreement, this vehicle has a documented history of recurring sensor issues and failed repair attempts at the dealership (Route 1 Hyundai). The dealership has previously attempted to address electrical/sensor malfunctions, but the root cause remains unresolved, leading to this life-threatening stall. I believe this is a significant safety defect in the vehicle’s electrical or fuel management system that poses an unreasonable risk of accidents and injury.Read more

I was driving on a normal sunny day when every light on my dashboard came on. I initially panicked thinking my car was going to shutoff while I was driving it. This is in conjunction with the car stalling out when the auto shutoff feature malfunctions. After researching the issue, I realized the safety camera was no longer working and a major concern. While operating my 2024 Kia EV6, the vehicle began displaying repeated warnings related to the power system and 12-volt battery. The instrument cluster first showed a “Power limited” message, followed shortly by a “Stop vehicle and check power supply” warning. At the same time, the vehicle indicated that the 12-volt battery was low, despite the high-voltage traction battery being at or nea
... r full charge. Shortly thereafter, the 12-volt battery became fully depleted, resulting in a complete loss of low-voltage electrical power. I was unable to electronically unlock the doors, and the vehicle could not be started or shifted into gear. The vehicle became immobilized and inoperable, requiring towing. This failure occurred without warning and created a safety concern, as loss of power could potentially occur while driving or leave occupants stranded and unable to access the vehicle. The vehicle had previously been serviced at a Kia dealership for known power system concerns related to the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU). During that visit, the dealership applied a firmware update only and did not replace the ICCU hardware. The current failure occurred after that firmware update, suggesting the issue was not resolved. This incident represents a loss of motive power and loss of vehicle electrical systems, which could present a serious safety risk if it occurs while the vehicle is in motion or in unsafe environments. The inability to unlock doors or start the vehicle due to complete 12-volt battery depletion is particularly concerning. When roadside assistance arrived to tow the vehicle to the dealership, the vehicle’s 12-volt battery was completely depleted, preventing normal recovery procedures. A portable jump starter was temporarily connected, but the vehicle would not remain powered on long enough to complete the steps required to place the vehicle into neutral or tow mode.Read more

Subject: Safety Concern – Vehicle Shuts Down While Driving / Request for Replacement Despite multiple warranty repair attempts, my 2025 Ram 2500 continues to experience unresolved electrical failures. In addition to the previously documented issues, the vehicle shuts down while driving, forcing me to immediately pull over, place the vehicle in park, and restart the engine in order to continue d
... riving. This condition has occurred unexpectedly and without warning. Losing power while the vehicle is in motion presents a serious safety risk, especially during highway or interstate driving. Given that I rely on this truck for work and frequently travel long distances between New Jersey and Texas, this behavior makes the vehicle unsafe and unreliable for its intended use. The truck has already undergone repeated diagnostics, module replacements, software updates, wiring repairs, and battery replacement at authorized Ram dealerships. Despite these efforts, the issue persists. At this point, I have lost confidence in the safety and reliability of this vehicle and do not feel comfortable continuing to drive or own it. I have acted in good faith and allowed multiple opportunities to repair the vehicle. The ongoing shutdowns while driving demonstrate that the defect has not been corrected within a reasonable number of attempts. Requested Resolution: • Immediate escalation of this case due to a safety-related defect • Replacement of the vehicle or trade-assist into another Ram truck • Reimbursement for loss-of-use expenses incurred due to repeated service visits I am requesting a definitive resolution rather than additional repair attempts.Read more

The vehicle is subject to an active safety recall involving the two-speed power transfer unit (PTU), which can cause loss of motive power and/or loss of PARK function. The vehicle is being operated in winter conditions without all-wheel drive, increasing the risk of loss of control. I own a Ram 2500 (VIN: [XXX] ) that has experienced a persistent and worsening rough idle. The engine shakes violently at idle, RPMs fluctuate unpredictably, and the vehicle feels as if it may stall. This occurs at stoplights, in traffic, and after warm-up. The vehicle has been taken to the dealership multiple times for this issue. Despite repeated visits, diagnostics, and inspections, the problem
... has not been resolved. I was told the condition is “normal” or that a future software update may address it, but the issue continues and is getting worse. In addition to the rough idle, the vehicle has experienced intermittent electrical issues, including warning lights, erratic behavior of vehicle systems, and inconsistent performance. Similar complaints are widely reported by other Ram 2500 owners online, including rough idle, engine surging, stalling, and electrical failures. Why This Is a Safety Concern!!!!! This defect creates a serious safety risk. The rough idle causes violent shaking and unpredictable engine behavior, raising concern that the vehicle may stall while stopped or when maneuvering in traffic. Loss of power or stalling at intersections, in traffic, or while towing could lead to a collision. Electrical issues further increase the risk by potentially affecting engine management, warning systems, lighting, or driver information displays. Online forums and consumer complaint databases show numerous reports of similar issues, including loss of acceleration, stalling while driving, and electrical failures. Because the issue is unresolved despite multiple repair attempts and appears to be systemic, I believe this represents a safety-related defect that warrants investigation.
