The hold app doesn't work very well. Since first check up in 2022, I mentioned to garage that I have to push on button every time I need to use it as opposed to pressing on it and removing it when desired. However, not the main issue. I get in the car, Auto Hold (which usually appears when I press the button) will suddenly pop on my screen but won't work. The break won't hold, it's just there. It
... scares me that it has something to do with the breaks themselves in the long run. I've spoken about it twice before and the garage stated that they couldn't see it so couldn't do anything about it. The issue popped on my dashboard one day and I drove straight to the dealership. They said they had no loaner and would call me. This was more than a month ago. I'm tired of trying to get them to address the issue and hoping that I'm not the only one having it.Read more

On [XXX] while driving our 2011 Toyota Sequoia 4x4 Limited (5.7 iforce non flex fuel) my wife was preparing to stop at a traffic light. Eventually it was diagnosed (at my mechanics shop) and determined to be a broken valve spring in cylinder #7. Being that I constantly maintained this vehicle and it being in overall excellent condition, I determined it was less expensive to have the engine replaced over repaired. I spent over $4600 in a used motor with 88k miles, and $5400 in labor for the replacement.. total cost of over $10,000 for a $5 defective part that was only recalled on the Lexus vehicles. I kept the original engine in case I can (eventually) have Toyota Corp do an inspection on it and get some kind of compensation on this dangerous, avoidable, selective vehicle recall. Meanwhile customers are not only unable to charge a vehicle that we bought for that purpose, but are driving a car Ford has admitted is dangerous.
