What’s concerning is the oil is burning up at an unknown fluctuating rate, making it hard to tell when there is any oil left in the vehicle. This is causing the vehicle to stall randomly while operating it, which ultimately can result in a devastating fatal crash in the near future. Every time I get an oil change there is little to no oil left in the vehicle. The other 2017 family-owned Ford Escape 1.5L Ecoboost was taken to the Ford shop and after review needed a new Short Block replacement due to Coolant Intrusion into cylinder 2 &3. Car was at Ford Dealer for over 8 weeks getting repair with no rental. Ford did have a bulletin (Customer Satisfaction Program 19B37-Supplement #4) that covered this full replacement. So, Ford admitted they had an issue and would replace these then at no cost to the customer. When i called the Dealer on this 2017 Escape 2.0L Escoboost with the Same Faulty head design they said it's out of Warranty and even though there is a service bulletin stating to replace the Engine, Ford Does not have a Recall or Customer Satisfaction Program for this as before. I am having this escape brought to a Ford shop to have it diagnosed officially as i had to with the other Escape. I know the symptoms and have scoped the cylinder. When speaking to Ford Directly they confirmed this and told me to contact you. I do not feel it's right for a Company that our family has been so invested in for generations and currently have 7 fords in our fleet to say well it's not covered on a motor with 24.393 miles on it. The Risk that that failure put us in on the highway of not being able to accelerate and get over to the side of the road in a timely manner is unacceptable. ... ason for the engine stall was a rod bearing failure. After looking it up on NHTSA's website, I found out that there were 2 open safety recall for this truck which Dodge has failed to notify me about and get it fixed. One of the open safety recall is: 664- LOSS OF CRANKSHAFT POS. Although a failure in the crankshaft position can usually not directly cause damage to the rod bearing, If there is a failure in the crankshaft position sensor, this can lead to synchronization problems in the engine and If these conditions are severe enough and persist for an extended period, they can eventually lead to engine damage, including damage to the rod bearings. I've contacted Dodge directly and they refused to provide any assistance for this matter and closed the case alleging that the truck is past its warranty and there is nothing they can do about it. The cost of repair is over $33k which I absolutely cannot afford to pay. Insurance company won't cover it either because it was a 'mechanical breakdown'. Upon talking to the California Department of Consumer Affairs, they advised me to contact the NHTSA regarding this matter. This tells me Ford should be responsible to the consumer. My safety concern is this; I was traveling at 30 - 35 mph when the tranny failed and , not knowing at the time, I lost 3rd, 5th and reverse gears. There was a noticeable decrease in my cars speed. At that speed, I was able to control my car and get stopped. Picture if I was on a 5 or 6 lane highway traveling at 60 - 65 mph and the tranny failed. The results could be deadly. ... d found that numerous people have the same issue or similar. I've gone to Dealerships and get no help whatsoever, they act like I'm wasting there time and basically ignore me, they said since I can't make the issue happen they can't look at it. I've read the same responses across the internet by other 2018 Ram 1500 owners, it's obvious we don't have a voice to this safety concern. Please look into this matter before someone gets hurt. I've owned the truck for approximately 2 months, I bought it from a dealership, the truck is in excellent condition with no major repairs. Definitely an electrical/computer issue.Read more

The car's rear camera freezes up for a few second and then blacks out intermittently. An error code even appears, "Camera is temporarily unavailable." I am terrified that one of my kids (or someone else) is going to run behind the car and I won't realize it because the camera is frozen. I know other owners are experiencing this, too, and it's only a matter of time until it kills someone.
