Mid December 2025 my forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and auto high beams all stopped working. I combined the repair request with my next oil change Dec 22, 2025. The Chevy dealer, Serra, advised me that Chevrolet had no way to correct these problems, one of which was a $950 option. I have returned to the dealer more times, still no fix. I have talked
... to Chevrolet customer service, asked for a buy back, or car to drive till repairs and was denied. Chevrolet simply says just wait till we figure out how to fix our broken truck. I feel Serra Chevrolet has done all they can and has otherwise provided me with excellent service. Since the problems include safety features and I have waited over 4 months to date, I hope your agency can expedite the repair and secure some type of compensation for me.Read more

The contact was informed that the wiring harness and front driver's side door harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer reset the codes. The contact was informed that until the repair was performed, the failure would recur. The contact referenced an unknown recall with a similar failure; however, the VIN was not associated. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.Read more

When stopped at a red light, the vehicle’s auto off system turned the engine off. When the light turned green and I removed my foot from the brake, the engine stalled and would not restart. They aren’t willing to fix it until there is a recall on the vehicles. In the meantime, I have a one year old vehicle that sputters and struggles to restart more often than not. I have had the vehicle stall like this after the auto off system turned the engine off when trying to merge into traffic on the interstate. The vehicle again immediately locked up and came to a sudden stop with no warning and no driver input. There was no progressive braking or deceleration. The stop was instantaneous and extremely forceful, causing me to lurch forward into the steering wheel. There were no hazards or objects present that would justify emergency braking. Additional Details: Both events involved an immediate, full-force stop with no transition or gradual braking. There were no dashboard alerts, warning sounds, or messages during either incident. The behavior did not match any known system alerts (such as door open or limp mode). The dealership was unable to reproduce the issue and found no diagnostic trouble codes. This creates a serious safety risk, especially the risk of being rear-ended during normal driving.Read more

I started driving this vehicle and all of a sudden it started slowing down, and would not go up to speed. I had it fixed, the car started skipping, making a jerking movement while driving. My 2023 Kia Telluride SX Prestige X-Pro is experiencing multiple powertrain and safety defects beginning at approximately 48,000 miles. The vehicle is well maintained per the manufacturer schedule. ISSUE 1 - TRANSMISSION SHUDDER: The vehicle has a pronounced shudder and stuttering through the drivetrain during normal driving, especially under acceleration and load. This began at approximately 48,0
... 00 miles and has progressively worsened. Symptoms are consistent with torque converter clutch failure documented under Kia TSB 089 (DTC P0741) and Service Action SA490. ISSUE 2 - INTERMITTENT LIMP MODE (SAFETY HAZARD): On multiple occasions the vehicle enters limp mode without any warning while being driven on public roads. When this occurs the accelerator becomes unresponsive beyond approximately 30 mph. The vehicle cannot accelerate regardless of throttle input. The only way to restore normal operation is to pull over, shut the engine off, and restart. This creates an extremely dangerous condition on highways, during merging, and in heavy traffic. My wife is the primary driver and no longer feels safe operating the vehicle. ISSUE 3 - INSTRUMENT PANEL BLACKOUT: The instrument cluster intermittently goes completely dark while driving, leaving the driver with no access to speed, fuel level, warning indicators, or turn signals. This vehicle also has multiple open safety recalls including SC296 (engine valve springs/fire risk), SC303 (intermediate shaft/loss of drive), SC316 (power seat motor/fire risk), and SC347 (door trim delamination). A recent emissions recall was also received. Problems first reported at approximately 48,000 miles. Current mileage is 86,793. A case is being opened with Kia Consumer Assistance and warranty service has been requested at the purchasing dealer. The vehicle is within the 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.Read more

Vehicle: 2020 Subaru Outback Onyx/Limited/Touring XT (2.4L Turbo FA24) Component: Engine Lubrication / Oil Pan Sealant I am reporting a manufacturing defect involving the engine oil pan seal on the 2020 Subaru Outback 2.4L Turbo. Upon inspection of fluid accumulation at the transmission joint, a Subaru dealership diagnostic confirmed that the engine oil pan seal has failed. The dealership noted t
... hat engine oil is leaking and being forced rearward by airflow while the vehicle is in motion, saturating the transmission assembly. Technician Admission: The service department at the Subaru dealership explicitly stated that this is a "known manufacturing issue" with the FA24 engine series. Financial Concession: To acknowledge the nature of this premature failure, the dealership waived the $185 diagnostic fee, resulting in a $0 invoice (attached). Inadequate Coverage: Despite the dealership’s admission and a repair quote exceeding $1,100 (file is attached), Subaru has not yet issued a recall or extended warranty for this specific 2020+ turbo application, though similar issues with RTV sealant have plagued the brand’s newer engine platforms. The technician confirmed that the leak is significant enough that oil is traveling the length of the transmission. This presents a potential fire hazard if oil contacts high-temperature exhaust components (such as the turbocharger or catalytic converter) and contributes to environmental contamination. This is the Turbo (XT) model. Turbochargers generate much higher heat, which makes an oil leak significantly Subaru National Customer Service has advised me to file this complaint with the NHTSA. I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate the frequency of oil pan seal failures on the 2020+ 2.4L Turbo (FA24) engine to determine if a mandatory recall or extended warranty (similar to past CVT or engine seal settlements) is warranted to protect consumers from the high cost of a documented manufacturing flaw.Read more

Nissan Recall R25C8 (NHTSA ID: 25V655), Incomplete, remedy not available Primary Issue: High-voltage battery fire risk during Level 3 (DCFC) charging due to excessive lithium deposits. I have been told by Nissan not to use Level 3 fast charging. This has significantly impaired the utility of my vehicle due to: - Limited Range/Utility: Without fast charging, I can't use the car for trips beyond i
... ts immediate single-charge radius, basically turning a long-range EV into a local-only car. The proposed software may limit charging or prevent the vehicle from restarting if it detects a dangerous condition, rather than permanently fixing the defect. - Time Loss: I can't charge at home unless (only overnight & if weather permits) I run a cable out of my apartment window, across the grass & sidewalk for a trickle charge (Level 1). Otherwise I have to drive to a Level 2 charger & wait many hours to charge up. This is significantly longer, makes it impossible to quickly 'top off' as advertised. For comparison: L3 (DCFC) gets me at least 15% in about 15 minutes (60% per/hour); L2 only gets 11% per/hour. L1 only gets 2% per/hour. Without DCFC this car is almost useless. - Diminished Value: Nissan sold me a $38,000 car & I'm concerned that a software-only 'fix' that may throttle charging speeds or simply disable the car if it detects heat will permanently reduce the vehicle's market value. I actually expected to keep this car for the rest of my life, but the CHAdeMO system (which appears is becoming un-supported) that also lacks a cooling system, makes that very unlikely. - Impact to income due to part-time employment that requires travel, which the LEAF was capable of doing with DCFC stops. Now, I need to rent a vehicle for these events. Purchased Cherry Hill Nissan March 11, 2022 2/3/2026: Nissan Service appointment. They are still unable to fix the recall issue, whether via software or hardware. 3/18/2026: I received another safety recall notice. Still no solution.Read more

On two separate occasions, my 2023 Nissan Rogue has experienced major loss of power while driving 80 mph. The first time, all of the dash lights were blinking and there was an awful noise coming from the engine. I could not drive over 10 mph. The vehicle had to be towed 200 miles to the nearest Nissan dealer in Billings, MT. They cleared the codes, test drove it and said everything was fine. The s
... econd time my vehicle had to be towed. 115 miles from the nearest Nissan dealer. Same issues, except this time there were no dash lights. Prior to all of this happening, my car had an open recall for the 1.5L VC-Turbo engine that my car has. Since the first time this occurred and Nissan "fixed" the problem, there has been no open recall. With the second occurance, Nissan had to replace the Throttle Actuator and Gaskets according to the invoice. Luckily, I had purchased my own extended warranty and that warranty covered $1,104.20 of the $1,204.20 (I paid $100 co-pay). I was charged $715 for towing from Nissan Roadside Assistance. The invoice claims the Nissan found the following diagnostic results: DTC P0507-00 Wwhich is directly linked to a fractured internal gear in the Electric Throttle Control Actuator, the subject of NHTSA Recall 26V081 and DTC P0196 which is directly linked to engine oil temperature performance, the precursor to engine bearing seizures addressed in NHTSA Recall 26V080. Nissan is currently excluding many 2023 models from the "official" recall list. My car has 67,350 miles on it, but this failure should be covered by Nissan's 10-year/120,000-mile extended powertrain warranty. The parts replaced (throttle actuator and gaskets) and the diagnostic codes are identical to those in the 2026 expanded recall populations. Denying coverage based on an "open recall" statis is a violation of the spirit of the NHTSA safety mandates for this engine. I am formally requesting/demanding reimbursment from Nissan North America for the $815 that I have been charged.Read more

For approx. the last 12-18 months, I have experienced "sticky steering" during every drive. The "sticky" feeling becoming worse as the speed of the vehicle increases. There is a recall on 2023-25 CR-V EPS Grbx Greasing Saf Rec, but not on 2019 Honda CR-V's. I took my CR-V to the Honda dealer who was able to experience the steering issue of our CRV and was quoted $3,987.65 for the repair plus $1
... 69.00 for an alignment which is required for such repair. This issue is a huge safety concern. In researching the "sticky steering" issue, it appears to be a common issue with 2019 Honda CR-V's and should, in my opinion, be considered for recall. Due to the cost of the repair, I contacted Honda Corp. to request assistance with this repair. My case with denied because 1) my vehicle is out of warranty, 2) I didn't get my maintenance items done at a Honda dealership (which I don't know what an oil change has to do with the steering), and 3) this vehicle is the only Honda I've owned, which is incorrect as this is my 3rd Honda (2006 Accord, 2009 Civic and 2019 CR-V). I corrected the case manager about this being my first Honda (no comment was made by the case manager acknowledging his incorrect information or my loyalty as a 3-time Honda owner), questioned him why maintenance items would be a factor with a steering issue (case manager said it was a loyalty thing on my part by having maintenance done at Honda), and asked if I could appeal his decision. I was told no reconsideration would be given on my case. I am making this compliant because this is a safety issue and also a common issue on this year, make and model. I am hopeful if enough compliants are filed that Honda will be forced to consider this a recall item. Until them, I am left to figure out a way to pay for this costly repair on my own.Read more

... paid for an $800 brake job first. This violates federal law by making a safety recall conditional on customer-paid maintenance. I am currently driving a vehicle the dealer documented as "unsafe" because they withheld the free safety remedy. * Has the problem been confirmed?
Yes, the dealer confirmed the rear brakes are failed but refused the recall and the 36,000-mile warranty claim. * Has it been inspected by others?
Not yet. However, the dealer’s technician failed to record actual millimeter measurements for the pads or rotors on the official invoice. * Warning lamps or symptoms?
Metal on metal grinding noise from the rear brakes. No warning lamps appeared prior to the failure. * Additional Note on Records:
The dealer falsified my service records on Line C (Recall 25TC07), claiming I was "unwilling to wait" for a repair that was never even mentioned to me. The dealer also claims I denied service on Line B, but what actually happened is I refused to pay $800 for a premature brake failure that should be covered by my 36,000 mile warranty or as consequential damage from the recall. The dealer then used my refusal to pay for pads as an excuse to withhold the Federal Safety Recall (25TA04). I never denied the safety repair I denied a bill for a factory defect. I have uploaded photos of both rear wheels. The left side is healthy, but the right side is completely destroyed with deep scoring. This uneven wear at only 34,613 miles proves this is a manufacturing defect, not my driving style. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I am not comfortable with this recall. Having a door fall off while driving is not acceptable. The dealer is totally overwhelmed. The earliest they can take the car in is in 3 weeks and then in the past it took them 1 month to look at the car. I am totally done with this car

One of the Prinx HiCountry HT2 tires (size 235/60R18) developed a structural failure shortly after installation. The tire repeatedly lost air with no visible puncture. I bought a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe from a dealership in May of 2023. Ever since then I have paid around $8,000 in repairs for this car. These repairs have been so expensive and time consuming that last year I wasn’t able to drive it for 6 months because it was in the shop for most of the year. I had to fix the Fuel pump, the Battery, timing chain valve TWICE, O2 sensor , Catalytic Converter, Engi
... ne valve, cylinder 1 & 3 and NOW I have to fix cylinder 2 & 4 & that cost again around $2,000 to fix. I am constantly stressed out, crying and becoming broke because I have to keep on repairing this car. I use up all of my tows every year because my car always shuts off on me while I am driving. I am at the point where I want a refund on the car and I want to get rid of this vehicle. I do not feel safe driving on the highway or driving with my two kids and I am currently pregnant again and this car isn’t safe for a family. I am constantly feeling broken down and worthless because I can’t even keep this car a float.Read more

Vehicle is subject to two active safety recalls, both listed as “remedy not available.” One recall involves a potential engine defect related to manufacturing debris, which may result in engine damage and sudden loss of motive power. Manufacturer recall documentation indicates this condition may increase the risk of a stall, particularly under sustained load such as towing or highway operatio
... n. A second recall involves reverse lamp failure, which reduces rear visibility and may increase the risk of a crash when backing. No failure event has occurred. However, both safety defects remain unresolved, and no repair or timeline for remedy has been provided. The vehicle is used for towing and hauling, which requires sustained engine load. Due to the risk of engine stall under load and the absence of manufacturer guidance regarding safe operation, use of the vehicle for towing and long-distance travel has been limited. These conditions have been confirmed through manufacturer recall notices. The vehicle has not been repaired because a remedy is not yet available. No warning lights or symptoms have been observed. The concern is based on the nature of the defects described in the recall and the lack of available repair or operational guidance.Read more

After fueling, codes P0496 will show and car will not start or struggle to start. Stalling when on freeway and rough idle. My vehicle shut off on the freeway causing me to almost crash and had to stop immediatly. In my investigation, it seems I am not the only one suffering this issue. I am on my 2nd engine replacement from the original recall as well.

The service rep said this was becoming a common complaint with these Bridgestone tires. They told me Subaru is a where of the problem and they were expecting to see a TSB in the coming weeks. While driving home from Church Sunday afternoon, I was on the highway driving 65 mph.
