When driving at interstate speeds, the transmission locked into 7th gear and refused to change gears with changes in speed. This was especially dangerous when I exited the interstate and had to drive in traffic at city speeds. Starting from a stop in 7th gear was extremely dangerous and made me a hazard to myself and other cars around me.

We recently bought the uppababy Mesa Max in November of 2023 in the color way “Jake” for our daughter. About two weeks ago I reached out to uppababys customer service because I noticed the black foam near the headrest was cracking. Customer service sent out a replacement seat. At the time, they were out of the Jake color way that we had so they offered to send us the Greyson color way instead.
... I noticed the Greyson car seat had foam on the backrest but my Jake car seat did not. Both the Greyson and Jake car seat were manufactured the same year but different months. When I reached out to uppababy they would not give me a clear answer on whether the foam should be there and which one they crash tested with. They just said that they are always improving. However the Jake color way was manufactured after the Greyson so is the new standard that there is no foam on the backrest? Every other model I have had with uppababy has always had the foam so it’s concerning that I have been driving my daughter around in a potentially unsafe car seat. Not to mention my daughter would cry uncontrollably in the car seat that had no foam vs foam. The car seat is available to inspect upon request. Yes my child’s safety was put at risk. Car seat has not been inspected by the manufacturer or anyone else however I did notify uppababy but have not heard of any action that they are taking to inspect this issue. We had the car towed to a repairman who looked over the car and said that the engine is completely seized with no notable signs of damage but that it would require an entire engine replacement. We notified Kia about the problem and that it was something that was known to happen with the engine and they refused to cover it or do any type of repair. It all lasted seconds and I managed to merge onto the freeway and continue on my way. I have not told the dealership yet, where I purchased the vehicle from, but I'm going in for regular service in a week and will address it then. There have been other times the BRAKE icon shows up, but the vehicle had never stopped on it's own before. That was a first. I have, however, noticed NUMEROUS electrical related problems with this vehicle. Well, I'm assuming it's all electrical (braking, speed, AC/heating, backup camera not working due to outside temp). I purchased it new, I'm the sole owner, it has just over 8K miles on it. I didn't bring it up with the dealer because I just chalked it up to numerous other problems I have with this vehicle, and figured I had a lemon, so it's too late to do anything about it. And most of the time if the dealer can't replicate the problem, they feel like it doesn't exist, they won't do anything anyway. I have since disabled any driver assist abilities in the vehicle. ... nuary 26, 2024, while driving, my GLE 450 loss propulsion without warning causing me to almost get rear ended. Unbeknownst to me, that this was related to the recall from 2023, I had the vehicle towed to a local "certified repair shop". The shop stated that i would need to replace the fuel pump units. Approximately 2 months later while my daughter was driving the GLE 450, the vehicle loss propulsion without warning once again causing my daughter to be stranded at a "Stop sign" 30 miles from home at approximately 1245 am. I had the vehicle towed to "Park Place Motorcars". Service advisor informed me that the Fuel pump unit had failed due to water entering into the trunk and they would have to determine where the water was coming from. I then asked to speak to manager and I remembered that a recall describing this situation had been conducted less than a year prior to this incident (2x). After approximately 1 month the service advisor messaged me and stated that the repair(s) wouldn't be covered under the recall warranty due to the fact that debris was found underneath the vehicle, causing the drain plug to be blocked. I am terrified to allow my family to continue driving this vehicle with the current remedy that Mercedes has chosen to use (drain plug), that did NOT fix the problem specified in the defective issue within the recall paperwork. The REMEDY should be to determine how the water is entering into the vehicle. The water has caused 2 fuel pump incidents within 1 year leading to the loss of propulsion without warning and increasing the risk of a serious crash.Read more

There is an outstanding recall on my vehicle and Audi are not able to complete the recall for over 30 days. I am currently only able to charge the car to 70% for concern that the vehicle will catch fire. As a result the range of the vehicle has been reduced. I have contacted AudiUSA, who said it is not their issue but rather a problem with my dealer. My car's range has been reduced to 120 miles.
