Have been having power steering problems over the past few years. ... ths ago I was driving 55mph on highway when suddenly without any warning, the power steering failed and locked up making it very difficult to turn the wheel to get the vehicle off the highway safely. The power steering locking up put myself, my passengers and other drivers at risk bc I had no control over the steering. When I got the vehicle off of the highway a message repeatedly coming on and off saying “service power steering “ and another message saying power steering assist off service system. I was able to get the vehicle home, however the steering was extremely difficult especially in turns which is a major safety concern increasing a risk of an accident. I have done a lot of research about this issue and have found that there are numerous others with the same issue and same make/model as my 2016 Chrysler 300 C. I took the vehicle to another independent mechanic and they told me they couldn’t figure out what is wrong with it. I made another appointment with another mechanic and when I attempted to drive it “manually” as I had to do when it initially started doing this, the electric power steering has now completely locked up and the wheel is not functional at all and power steering has completely failed. This is not only a huge inconvenience but a serious safety hazard and should be investigated by the manufacturer.Read more

Who put the MyKey on here? It restricts the speed which you can go, only allows the radio so high, and you have to be buckled for the radio to play its crazy. So I call the dealership which I bought it from, Hendrick, my car was used and had about 39k miles on it. They don't know about MyKey either they sell used cars, but their main cars are Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep Ram. The used car guy said he would pay 200 for the key but not the labor that we had our car long enough it was time we took responsibility for it. Fast forward I reach out to Ford. The lady at Ford who said she was just a media specialist says oh just pay the money and keep the receipt. That if Ford does a recall in the future you will be reimbursed. I told her that this response was unsatisfactory as it creates a safety issue. I told her I was taking the car to Ford for recalls that needed to be fixed the next week and I would asked them how it got set. She didn't know how it got set either. The previous Ford dealership said he didn't know and that it could have been the previous owner but he couldn't confirm. So I went to the Ford dealership in Auburn this time to have the recall fixed and the lady at thr service center said yes the MyKey is only activated off the Ford app. My wife nor myself had the Ford app at the time this started which means the previous owner still had access to my key and set these limits. On or about April 2024, the "check engine" light came on in my 2020 Ford F-150. My vehicle was just becoming due for re-registration. I had the code for the check engine light checked at my parts dealer and double checked at the maintenance facility I was having services done. The check engine code was for the catalytic converter. I had the catalytic converter and O2 sensors replaced at my service
... provider, the check engine light was extinguished and the codes had been removed, the vehicle emissions no longer reported on the service/inspection station and the vehicle passed the emissions/safety check for re-registration. In less than one month, the check engine light came on again, with the exact same codes that identify the catalytic converter failing. Both the parts dealer and the service provider tell me that it's impossible. Further checking by the service provider with Ford motor Company service center have told my service provider that my vehicle needs to have the onboard computer system erased and re-installed at my cost because only Ford has the program to do it at their service centers exclusively. This problem seems to be appearing with other Ford vehicles of the same year and engine size. I personally stood in line behind another man who was reporting a problem with his vehicle with the check engine light. Jokingly, I made the comment, "It must be a Ford" and he turned around and asked me "How did you know?" His vehicle is a 2020 Ford van that was parked outside next to my truck. It also has a 5.0 liter V8. Currently, I am awaiting an appointment at either Casa Ford or Visa Ford, the earliest opportunity for them to reprogram the onboard computer system.Read more

Toyota knows about this issue yet acts like they had to perform $176 diagnose. Speedometer does not function. We have no idea how fast or slow we are going at any given time. It shows random speeds. Fearful we could cause an accident by unknowingly driving too fast or too slow. The speedometer display indicates we are going 40+ mph while we are sitting absolutely still at stop lights & that we are traveling at a variety of speeds including 0 mph while keeping up with traffic

We have no way of knowing what gear the vehicle is in or if it will remain stationary, move forward or backwards. Driving this vehicle or simply having the engine on, could very easily cause death or serious injury. Air bags & warning display do not function. The red alert on the instrument panel is constantly lit up indicating that the airbags will not function in the case of an accident. Engine gear display does not function. Display will randomly indicate vehicle is in reverse while we are very clearly driving forward. We have no way of knowing if the vehicle will suddenly change gears a result. Engine randomly turns off while in motion. The engine began randomly turning off while we were driving even after we picked it up from the dealership following the first attempt at repairs. There is absolutely no warning when it happens. We have no way of knowing when, where or at what speed the vehicle will be moving when the engine shuts off. This affects all steering, braking and electrical warning functions. Transmission overheating. Gives multiple alerts indicating that the transmission was running at too high a temperature and needed immediate service by the dealer. The front passenger airbag sensor is faulty. My understanding is that the airbag is set up to be deployed when someone who is at least 65lbs sits on the front seat. I am 85lbs so the sensor should always detect me but it doesn't; it only does so about 10% of the time. Sometimes it turns on and then goes off. In contrast, I always trigger the sensor in my husband's 2023 Subaru Crosstrek.

Hydraulic cont module/ abs module is constantly going in and out causing the abs/traction control to be disabled and non functional cruise control. Highly unsafe when towing heavy like I do most of the time.

GM has acknowledged that there is a "Shift to Park" problem with 2017 and 2018 GMC Acadia's. This design flaw/ part failure does not recognize that the vehicle is actually in "Park" so you cannot shut off the engine. In addition, the dash lights remain on which eventually drains the battery. The AC/Heat will shut off randomly and not turn back on. I’ve had my car into the shop many times and the issue still is not fixed. I’ve talked to many people with the same car as me and they all have stated that they have the same issues.

My vehicle stalled when pulling out into traffic. I lost power steering and electrical and the engine died. The vehicle had to be restarted to continue driving. I was going about 1 to 2 mph when the issue happened. The vehicle was in motion and stalled while other vehicles were in motion putting my safety at risk, had I been going any faster or if there was an increased amount of traffic. I re

When the issue happened, a warning light appeared on the dash similar to a circle with an exclamation mark inside. There were no messages and no other symptoms prior to the failure.Read more

Second row power folding captain chair can fold down without anybody touching button. Rear hatch opens intermittently while parked or driving. The latest incident occurred while driving on city streets, and dash flashed a warning about rear hatch being opened while driving about 20mph.
