The infotainment system sometimes has "ghost touches" where random buttons on the screen are pressed without a physical press. This is dangerous because it is extremely distracting to the driver. It often changes songs or calls a random person on my phone contact list. This requires me to quickly and constantly press the "back" button for the infotainment system to prevent it from placing a call.

We were driving on the highway and the engine started to shudder and the check engine light came on. We pulled off and had the car towed to a Kia dealership. Their report indicated that cylinder #3 had a burnt valve caused by excessive heat and there was scoring on the cylinder wall. They deemed it a total engine failure and quoted us a new engine for $9800!!!

I took it to Marburger RAM in Shelby NC because it is closer than the dealer where I purchased. They stated it needed a battery module that had to be ordered. I drove it almost home before the engine stalled. Had it towed back to Marburger on 7/13/24. I have called frequently and stopped in on 3 occasions since 7/13/24. Each time they are waiting on some type of battery module. No attempts to reach out and keep me updated. I really like the RAM 1500 truck but, I am sick of electronic gremlins and failure of dealer to address or communicate. I have been extremely fortunate to have avoided a highway accident caused by electronic features beyond the drivers immediate control. ... on for several months. They can't seem to duplicate the problem, even though, on 3 occasions, they did software updates and once, replaced the fuel pump. The vehicle is still under warranty but approaching the end of warranty period in about a year. I have taken the vehicle to Dodge on 8 occasions and they say it can't be duplicated. I filed an arbitration hearing for them to repurchase or replace, but was denied. I recently read in a news article that there is a preliminary investigation for the exact same thing that is happening to my vehicle, which involves over 150,000 vehicles in the 2022 Ram and Jeep Wagoneers by the NHTSA. The vehicle is very dangerous to drive and I fear that a major accident is imminent. Customer care says that because they can't find anything wrong with the vehicle, they closed the case. I have everything documented, the arbitration case denial, the customer care representative, closing the case because she stated that I was refusing to work with them, which is not true. She informed me that they were even going to tow the vehicle to the Dealership where it was purchased, but the dealership refused to look at or work on the vehicle. She expected me to drive 100 miles to another dealership and I refused to do that, based on the drivability of the vehicle. The dealership where purchased, is 15-20 miles from my residence. Another dealership, that has been trying to duplicate the problem is 5 miles from my residence. There is a very, very dangerous problem with this vehicle. When I went to turn on the car later that day the engine would not turn over and there was an audible rattling/chugging sound and the car itself shook. ... n. I had AAA check the battery the next day and confirm it was not a battery issue and a diagnostic revealed the P0192 code. AAA towed it to their shop where it was confirmed by the manager mechanic that the issue was with the high pressure fuel pump and that it was causing an issue with the low pressure fuel sensor as well. The mechanic was unable to determine what caused the pump to fail and has quoted me nearly $2000 to fix it. After some searching online it has become clear that this is an issue many other Mazda owners have faced and that is even a recall for the pump for years and makes from Mazda due to a known issue with DENSO fuel pumps causing this exact issue. Despite this being known and DENSO having admitted issue with fuel pumps in cars dating back to 2013, Mazda has not recalled the vast majority of the cars that could be affected. From information I've gathered, it is entirely possible that my vehicle could have just stopped running in the middle of the freeway due to this issue which obviously would have put me in great danger of an accident. To summarize: Low pressure fuel sensor and high pressure fuel pump with error code P0192 are cited as the issues. It's possible this issue can cause the car to stop running with no warning, which would be extremely dangerous especially on the freeway. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by a AAA mechanic shop. The vehicle has been inspected by the AAA mechanic but no others. The battery was completely dead after just 300 miles. And then it happened again at 450 miles. The car must be jumped and then the battery has to charge again. This is on a 2025 Kia Carnival (brand new).
