1.) I have had repeated, on-going issues with the fuel propulsion system since the day I bought the car. When I step on the accelerator it randomly (lately more constant than random) does not respond, then it will shoot me out into traffic. For example when I am entering the highway from an onramp, I see my opportunity to merge into traffic and I step on the gas - nothing - no response, then it su

I have reported the issue every time I have had the car serviced (always dealer serviced, from same dealer where I bought it.) 2.) The vehicle will randomly decide that I am going to hit a car in another lane, and will forcefully apply the brakes (when there is no issue, no danger, no possible way I am going to even be close to hitting another car) causing the cars behind me to come extremely close to rear-ending me! Or the car will decide I am going off the road when I am taking a soft curve, and it will sound a warning and try to turn the wheel. 3.) The display panel will go black for no reason. I then cannot use the navigation screen. It will randomly return after a few hours or after a day or two. 4.) The camera/display will get stuck on the reverse camera causing a visual disconnect as I drive forward, but can only see what is in reverse. (like seasickness). No idea what causes it or how to fix it. Eventually it corrects itself after a few hours/day+. 5.) Car will occasionally make a strange squealing noise after it has been turned off - no idea what that is, or what causes it. As a salesperson who spends many, many hours in her car, this vehicle has become a constant danger to both my livelihood and my life. I am afraid to drive it and I will not let family members drive it as I am afraid for their lives due to the issues stated above.Read more

To whom it may concern, I would like to inform you that I have been experiencing engine power loss and oil evaporation from my Sonata. In fact, I took the vehicle for an oil change in April 26, 2024 and by August 1, 2024, my car was not accelarating and the dashboard was completely illuminated with the engine, air bags and suspension lights. ... that my oil was missing (evaporated) without any visual undercarriage drips. Therefore, I added 4 qts of synthetic oil to my car recently replaced oil and the car continued without power. Upon connecting a vehicle code reader, it was reported that a spark plug was malfunctioning and I continue with its replacement. To date the vehicle continues to have engine loss of power episodes. ... er they did that, the car still would not work. We paid 1300.00 dollars for them to do this. We then had it towed to Hyundai in Flowood Ms. We learned that the whole engine needs to be replaced. We Take very good care of our cars and this shouldnt be happening. I see that there is an extended warranty for 2017 tucsons with engine failures, but our particular engine is not included in this. We have a turbo 1.6. I asked Hyundai why these particular motors are not included and they didnt know. I found alot of people are having the same engine issues as I am and i think Hyundai needs to help me out. The replacement cost of this is going to be about $10000.00 dollars. My car only has 84000.00 miles on it. Hyundai knows that there are problems with these vehicles but refuse to be any help what so ever. Mechanic diagnosed failed ABS module but Ram dealers in my area (Birmingham, AL) have confirmed the part is not available and can not give me a estimated timeframe for repair. Nissan should be required to provide clear disclaimers about potential transmission issues before a sale. The lack of transparency and the high cost of repairs are deeply troubling. Air coolant bypass valve malfunction. Engine maintenance error message pops up, does not cool properly. Leaking ac fluid. Confirmed by dealership. Costs around 800 to 900 dollars to repair. The fuel pump filter failed and myself and grandchildren became sickened by the fumes. Once the back seat was removed and inspected by an independent source you could see how the gas had leaked into this area. There was no warning lights or messages that had appeared. This problem could easily ignited a dangerous fire situation.

EGR valve/cooler fails and makes engine coolant temperature climb above normal operation, leaving you stranded on the side of the road (engine shuts down). I still had battery miles available to pull to the side safely. This is a common issue for these vehicles and GM has not issued a recall or warranty extension for this item like the BECM issue.

I don’t drive it much for this reason causing me a lot of inconvenience. 5) The dealership and 2 local car repair shops scanned the problem. A lot of codes popped up - including the ABS Module and tire sensors. They said the module was unavailable and under review. They also said tracking down all the causes and completely resolving them would be trial and error as they replaced several parts including the ABS Module and sensors on all 4 tires. I cannot locate the repair shop receipts at present, but 1 shop (Decatur Auto Tech) was $258 on 3/19/2024. Landmark Dodge didn’t charge for the scan on 4/23/2024. They gave me a quote to replace the ABS Module of $1,294.71Read more

ABS pump motor control and anti-lock brake hydraulic unit is out again. first time replaced at dealer on 12/27/2019 second time8/10/2022 and now ABS light flashing again for about 3 weeks now with code c0020-01. This should be a recall it is very dangerous to be hauling heavy equipment with this reoccurring problem approximately every 20,000 miles or so.

The windshield is damaged very easily when a small rock hits it on the road. It's been hit before the recall and the new windshield is damaged. It's a hazard especially if it can be easily cracked. I've had other vehicles that can handle small rocks on road ways. These are damages from tiny rocks. This windshield is very weak, the Crack continues to spread all over day to day.

After driving for an hour I noticed smoke coming from under the hood of the car, I opened the hood to and noticed the smoke coming from under the plastic cover which covers the turbo and catalytic converter In That area. After removing the cover I saw a bright flame coming from under the hood.
