1)BODY- The body of the vehicle (paint) seems to be chipping and/or rusting at an increasingly rapid rate with no known causes. This rusting is causing the value of the car to plummet as I am trying to sell the vehicle. It first appeared in about 2019 and has been getting steadily worse without any way to stop it. 2) SUSPENSION- On every single Toyota I’ve owned (4) the struts wore very quickl
... y and are NOT a cheap fix. I had to at one point, fix them more than once in the same vehicle. I was told by the repair tech that it is a common issue seen in Toyotas. If a strut goes while driving it can cause major safety issues for the driver. 3)WHEELS- The hubcaps more specifically speaking, on every Toyota I’ve owned, have also had an issue maintaining its hubcaps. One rolled off on the highway and nearly caused me to crash as it hit the side of my car and slid under the rear tires and made me slide all over the snowy highway. Luckily there weren’t many vehicles on the road or it could’ve been catastrophic. I also notice that the light for the tire pressure never turns off either. I can fill the tires, empty the tires, it does not matter, the light will never go off.Read more

On Mon, [XXX], my father was involved in a single car accident in the family's Mercedes-Bens EQE 350 (all electric) vehicle. When he was in driveway, he claims he was on the brake when the car suddenly accelerated on its own. It destroyed the garage door and then went through the garage destroying property, the attic staircase, and the frame of an interior wall into a bedroom. We have pictures
... of the damage. Emergency repairs were required to stabilize the frame of the house with more 2x4s. The insurance company says he likely confused the brake and gas pedals, but he's convinced that he was on the brake when it suddenly accelerated on its own. Importantly, no auto-emergency braking occurred, no airbag deployed, and no other emergency systems engaged. We received no indication that the system reported an accident. I was able to source an online forum where individuals recounted identical fact patterns about being on the brake and the Mercedes EQ vehicle accelerating dangerously on its own. We believe that the issue was a electrical computer malfunction and yes, the car is available for inspection. It is currently being repaired at a collision shop in Edison, NJ. I have sent a general service request to Mercedes Benz to encourage an inspection from them. The problem has not yet been sourced or reproduced and no warning lamps or messages appeared prior, during, or after the accident. Here's the MB electric vehicle community message board describing similar accounts [XXX] I am messaging to initiate a safety report about this vehicle since this issue could potentially cause a fatality if not properly addressed. They stopped inches away from my car. 3. The cruise control does not work in the car. I think by using this feature, and maintaining a steady speed, it reduces the chances of accidents. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? See answers #1, 2 and 3 above. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed? #1. No. A dealer told me it would cost me $100 to have them check the airbag light. #2. The horn was checked by an independent service center. #3. No. Has it been inspected? #1. They were not able to see the vehicle until 9/3/24, and after talking with the service manager and reviewing my car history, they were confident it was another injector; he was ordering the parts because he said he didn't have any, and it would take a bit to get them. The car went in on 9/3 as planned, and they called to confirm that Cylinder 1 had an Air-Fuel Ratio imbalance and that the GDI Injector had failed. They had gotten in the injector but did not have the High Press Pipe needed to go along with it, and they would have the pipe in by 9/6. I'm unsure when the pipe arrived, but I called in mid-afternoon on 9/9/24, and they were wrapping up my vehicle and that it would be ready shortly. They performed the standard 34-point inspection on the vehicle and did not find further issues. I reached back out to Hyundai Motors America as I had reached out to them after my second Injector failed; at the time, they were unwilling to replace the remaining injectors proactively. I've now opened my second case with Hyundai Motors America. I am communicating through email now, and I do not believe Hyundai is willing to replace the final fuel injector proactively, even though the vehicle only has one original injector remaining, and based on the bulletin Hyundai has out, the chances are pretty good it will soon fail too.Read more

Many owners with same car experience this issue and is a design defect that can pose safety issuesRead more
