As I got closer, but not THAT close, the car suddenly thought I was much closer than I was and initiated automated emergency braking. It then lost sight of the semi and repeated this cycle a few more times before I turned off cruise control. There was no one behind me, or this could have been a serious accident. I looked in the owner's manual to see how to disable the system and was appalled to see that it uses a single camera instead of a radar. After leaving the car off for 30 minutes, the instrument cluster display began functioning normally. This was the subject of a 2024 October recall which we got dealer service for but the issue is not resolved.

Oil consumption issue began June 2021 with my 2017 Audi Q7 with the 3.0 engine, we were at 78,841 miles. Our vehicle was always serviced at the dealer on the recommended schedule. The dealer stated high oil consumption of 1 quart per 1,000-2,000 miles was normal. The high oil consumption issues continued. At 99,559 miles the car began shaking on the way home from a routine oil change. They found

At 104,002 miles the N428 oil pressure regulation valve was replaced, which seemed to improve oil consumption temporarily, but gradually got worse with frequent top offs. On 1 December 2024 at 123,616 miles the car started to shake while traveling at 70mph on the interstate, with the engine lights on. The dealer found crusted spark plugs and identified that cylinder 1 had a burnt/broken exhaust valve due to excessive oil consumption and residue buildup. The turn signal going in either direction has 2 positions. The first is regular on that keeps the turn signal on until it is turned off or until steering wheel is turned off. The other position is the “flick” that flashes the signal 3 times and turns it off on its own. When I set my turn signal to the regular on position to turn right, after I complete my turn the signal turns itself off and g
... oes into the default off position. However when returning itself into the off position, it ends up going into the “flick” position for left turn. The signal then flashes left 3 times and turns off. So to summarize, after turning right while using the turn signal, it flicks itself into the left turn position. This is distracting to me while driving and may confuse other drivers as well. I took it into the dealer for this issue and they said they could not replicate it. multiple errors show up on the dash. I was told it’s dealership, but this is due to a failure of the multipurpose computer in the car. This is the issue that keeps recurring across all their cars of this type that has this unit.
