Purchased my 2026 Ram 2500 Power Wagon. The first thing I noticed after driving off the lot, I had to push down halfway to stop. My other cars engaged about 6-8 inches to start slowing down. When I took back to the dealership and asked a service Tech supervisor, he said that's how they are. I originally brought my vehicle into Mac Haik Dodge in April 2025 for issues with my Air Suspension and 4-Wheel drive control modules displaying on the dashboard of my vehicle. I was advised by Mac Haik's Service department in April 2025 that they were unable to replicate or address the issues with my vehicle after having my vehicle for the 2 days. On 12/29/2025 my vehicle once again displayed the
... same exact issues that were being shown on my dashboard of the vehicle and I brought my vehicle to the Mac Haik Dodge to have these issues addressed. I was advised by Mac Haik's Service department that one DTCM module would need to be ordered to correct the service Air suspension and Service 4-Wheel drive control modules. After the one DTCM module was ordered and repaired I was advised that an additional module would need to be ordered to address the Air suspension features of my vehicle. Mac Haik ordered the 2nd module and repaired my vehicle. My vehicle was recently picked up on 01/20/2026 after a month's long repair process of my vehicle being at Mac Haik Dodge to have these 2 repairs completed. What I do not understand is why Mac Haik was not able to address or repair these concerning issues in April 2025. I ended up paying $1,801.00 for these costly repairs to get my vehicle's issues repaired. Moreonever, during the time my vehicle was at Mac Haik Dodge I missed several days of work due to only having 1 primary vehicle to drive as a means of transportation. I was not offered any sort of rental or loaner vehicle to have to drive while these repairs were ongoing. I am reaching out to Chrysler to see if anything can be done to offer any sort of assistance for a full reimbursement of my repairs that I paid for. I am attaching the full repair bill of $1,801.00 that I paid on 01/20/2026.Read more

Have a 2014 Ram 1500 that has a ABS malfunction light showing. Took truck in and dealership service department wanted $1500.00 for a new ABS module that has failed. I am glad I did not give them $1500.00 (+ future labor costs) to fix for something I have been calling the dealership for months on inventory status. My truck has bee
... n sitting in their possession for almost 10 months now, rendering me loss of my vehicle use for the entire time of 10 months. Ridiculous. I reached out to Ram Cares and filed a complaint. They have issues with the dealership returning calls as I have. Something is not right here. Again, this is a part on backorder for months that has failed according to dealership and truck is potentially unsafe to drive. I asked Ram Cares to verify if truck is road worthy to drive safely with the failed ABS module as is. Ram Cares still has communication issues with the dealership and even they are getting ignored. I am beyond frustrated and at a loss (literally) of not being able to use my truck for an excessive length of time. I filed a complaint also with the State of California BAR department and they said to file a complaint with you as well. The part number the dealership said I need is: abs module 68228991ADRead more

Steering has become hard and pulsates at times. Feels unsafe when turning at intersections. Steering issue is unpredictable and dangerous. (many other RAM 1500 drivers seem to have this issue per RAM forums). Fix is to replace entire rack and pinion system which is not acceptable. This is something that should last life of the vehicle. ~$4,000 fix is very hard to swallow.

*CRITICAL FAILURE: The Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) within the ABS has suffered a total malfunction. Due to the immediate risk of brake system failure and loss of operator control, the vehicle is grounded and remains available for technical inspection. *OPERATIONAL IMPACT-The compromised ABS Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) significantly degrades the vehicle's emergency braking capabilities. Under rap
... id-deceleration requirements, the system's failure to prevent wheel lock-up poses a direct risk of catastrophic loss of vehicle control and potential personnel injury. SAFETY IMPACT - This malfunction introduces an unacceptable safety hazard during high-speed or emergency maneuvers. The absence of functional ABS increases the probability of skidding and multi-vehicle collisions, thereby endangering the operator, passengers, and civilian traffic. *I have reported it to a dealer and I have called RAM customer care and have a Case number for Attorney to contact (96341810) *I have had the vehicle inspected by two mechanics and I have taken to dealers and they will not look at it since there is no parts available to repair it. *Initial Symptom Onset: The initial illumination of the ABS and Traction Control warning indicators occurred in June 2024, signaling a critical system fault. Diagnostic Evaluation: Upon presenting the vehicle for professional diagnostic service, it was determined that the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) required replacement. However, localized and national parts shortages resulted in an indefinite delay in the procurement of the necessary components. Manufacturer Recall Status: The vehicle remains in a degraded safety state pending the formalization and execution of a safety recall by the manufacturer (RAM) to address known HCU/ABS defects.Read more

This complaint concerns failure of the remedy for Safety Recall Z46 / NHTSA Campaign 22V406 involving the high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) on a 3.0L diesel pickup. The HPFP had previously been replaced under the recall by an authorized dealer. About 19 months later, while the vehicle was at a dealership for service, the replacement HPFP failed again during dealer testing. The dealer documented meta
... l contamination throughout the fuel system caused by the HPFP failure. The dealer then replaced the contaminated fuel system components. After those repairs and during post-repair test driving, the vehicle developed new bottom-end engine noise. The dealer later documented connecting rod bearing damage / rod knock and recommended complete engine replacement. The vehicle had been brought in with no bottom-end engine noise, and the dealer’s intake inspection documented oil condition as OK. An independent oil analysis later showed the engine oil was normal and did not indicate long-term lubrication failure. This suggests the engine damage occurred acutely after the HPFP failure and resulting contamination event, not from routine wear. This condition creates a serious safety risk because HPFP failure can cause loss of fuel pressure, engine stall, or loss of motive power, and the subsequent engine damage raises the risk of sudden engine failure or seizure while driving. That could increase the risk of a crash, especially in traffic or at highway speeds. The failure was confirmed by the dealer and is documented in the repair order. The vehicle remains inoperable and is available for inspection upon request. I am requesting investigation into whether the recall remedy was adequate, since the recall replacement HPFP failed again and the resulting contamination appears to have led to catastrophic secondary engine damage.Read more

Was driving thru and turning right when my steering just started pulling and had to turn other way to correct my trucks path and then it just wouldn't turn much and got real stiff.... Afraid to drive it anymore and seen this issue was being investigated... This issue almost got me and my 3 boys into a wreck!

I own a 2019 Ram ProMaster. The vehicle previously received the manufacturer recall repair for the transmission park issue (software update). After the recall repair, the vehicle experienced a safety issue where it would roll freely while in “Park,” as if it were in neutral, even though the dashboard indicated “P.” This created a rollaway risk. This happened August 2025 intermittently. M
... iles on the vehicle 68k. I recently (4/17/2025) serviced the transmission (approximately 73,000 miles) and found significant internal damage evidence. The transmission fluid was heavily contaminated, and I found approximately 11 square metal fragments around 1/4 inch in size inside the transmission pan and filter. This amount and size of metal debris indicates internal transmission failure. The prior rollaway condition combined with internal debris suggests the recall repair did not fully resolve the defect. Although the vehicle is currently engaging Park, the condition was intermittent and may reoccur without warning. This presents an ongoing safety risk of unintended vehicle movement. I am concerned that the recall remedy (software update) is insufficient to address mechanical failure inside the transmission, and that other vehicles may have the same unresolved defect.Read more
