... ing on new car. Binding means brake pad is slightly touching the rotor when brake pedal is released. When pressed, pads should firmly grip the rotor. Not gripping firmly means the caliper is pushing the pad against the rotor. Uneven brake pad shouldn’t be causing it either since it brand new. And it’s not brake bedding-in either. It’s now at 1944 miles. Brake binding is what the dealer say but could potentially be suspension problem and there are more of this model making same noises. No waning light. There were 3 times when it pulled to one side when driving straight. I have videos of the clunking when turning steering.Read more

On [XXX] I took the truck to Ford dealer after noticing the front floor passenger side carpet was wet and door locks and electronic tire pressure indicator failed to operate correctly. Ford service dept found a/c drain was letting water back into passenger compartment and caused body control module (bcm) failure. Bcm was replaced after 2 1/2 months in the service dept. Service dept contacted Ford national office and learned this was considered a design flaw by Ford. Expected a recall will be issued. Remedial treatment for mold was applied because I had been smelling a vinegar smell in the truck cab which is typical smell for presence of mold. My 2014 F150 was recalled for a software patch pertaining to the lead frame in the transmission because the vehicle would abruptly downshift at any speed. After having the recall performed by a dealership, it continued to have the same issue. I was told by the Service Manager the lead frame was bad but the recall did not cover the repair. For my safety I had the repair done and it cost me $18
... 69.64. I contacted NHTSA and was told the dealership would have to contact Ford Motor Company for a warranty code to cover the cost of the repair. Ford Motor Company said the dealership should pay for the repair up front then get reimbursed by Ford Motor Company. The dealership said only NGTSA can include the lead frame in the recall so I was responsible for the cost of the repair. As of this date (1/7/2025), I'm still out $1859.64. I have the lead frame that was removed from the truck and there are no obvious defects (cracks, buildups, etc) so the issue has to be with the control mechanism within the lead frame that the software patch should have corrected. Why has the recall not been upgraded to include replacing the lead frame?Read more

After going back and forth with a dealer that contacted Chevy for me, they determined there was no recall for the vehicle. Further research showed that this incident happened one other time in March of 2020 and was repaired once and the original recall was cleared. Chevy states that they have already repaired it once and are not liable to fix it a second time. This is a huge safety hazard and I am left questioning the integrity of my vehicle and the safety after what unknown damage has been done.Read more

I had the ABS HBU replaced a few months back and was told the new unit was part of the old stock and would most likely fail. which it did. unfortunately i am one of the people in this world who could not afford to not drive my vehicle as the truck was $70k new and i still am currently driving it due to not being able to afford to replace it of park it and rent a vehicle. The HBU has been a known issue in these trucks for the passed year and they just issued a recall on 12/08/2024. this problem was first noticed on 05/08/2024. was taken to dealer shortly afterward and was told that these are known to fail and currently no remedy to the issue. as of 01/07/2025 there is still no remedy or time on when parts are available for replacement.Read more

BMW updates the car software by sending Remote Software Updates (RSU) using the the Over The Air (OTA) method. The updates include Driver Assistance updates and fixes. My car amongst many other BMW owners worldwide are reporting on the internet that the RSU process is not working and that the updates download OTA to the car but they do not do the final installation step. Cars in warranty are not charged by the dealers , but cars out of warranty are quoted in excess of $400 to install the updates. FYI updates are sent several times per years so those which require dealer service to install are faced with excessive cost for the updates. I currently refused to pay the dealer to install the latest RSU and my car is now at risk of not receiving the latest safety updates. I did some research and there was a class action lawsuit against for Ford for the Escape with 1.5L engines and the fuel injectors cracking which caused coolant intrusion damaging the engine and causing them to over heat. However, I recently pulled the Carfax report, and there is no mention of any recall-related maintenance being performed on this date. Instead, the report lists unrelated services such as tire balancing, detailing, etc. Why is the recall repair not documented on Carfax, and why is there no proof of this critical work being completed? Persistence of Recall Issue: Despite the alleged completion of the recall work, the issue described in Recall SC176—excessive oil consumption—persists. The engine light remains on, and I have had to purchase oil by the case to maintain proper levels since taking the car into the shop on 4/7/2022. No corrections were made during this visit, and there was no mention of the recall despite the vehicle’s ongoing symptoms. Inadequate Responses from Dealership and Corporate: When I inquired at Greenway Kia North, I was informed that the recall would not be honored because "no goodwill was offered." This explanation is vague and unsatisfactory, especially given the seriousness of the issue and the safety implications of the recall. I was participating in a funeral procession ride for a fallen fellow law enforcement officer with approximately 20 plus riders. During the procession I was riding my motorcycle at highway speeds of 75 mph when my motorcycle shut off completely. I restarted the motorcycle a few minutes after and continued to my house where it has been parked since the date the incidents occurred which was on [XXX]. Internet research into the symptoms of failure my motorcycle experienced led to what may possibly be a faulty Body Control Module (BCM). They are aware of it and it is documented on many forums as far back as 2016 on my model. My son has a 2018 2500 and is starting to have the same issues. This is an $1100 job but they don't have the part and can't get it. They say it is on back order? No real guarantee

Driving down the road several large pieces of pain flaked off on the driver side door. This is a 2014 Kia Optima with 61,000 miles on it. None of the other questions apply. I am filing this because I see on other forums that both KIA and Hyundai cars with the Snow White Pearl paint have this problem, so it seems to be a failure by the manufacturer.

Since buying our 2016 Ram 1500 ecodiesel, we have had nothing but problems. In 2020 there was an EGR/coolant leak that was supposedly done.
