There was no major safety issue in this instance. My concern is this poses a severe risk if it happened while driving. The car was on and in ready to drive mode but was parked in the garage with climate control on while loading it for going to school. ... were on but blank. Not a single button in the car would respond. Including hazards or opening the trunk or closing the charging port door. Lights like the LED for the overhead light button blinked and the charging indicator by the charging port blinked a pattern of 1 longer flash and 8 shorter flashes. The car would not shut off or on again another button that was completely unresponsive. The lights and screen stayed on for at least 30 minutes before I left with a Lyft to get the kids to school. An hour and a half later everything was off and it seemed to have no power. At that point I did figure out how to jump it and get it to the dealer. The dealer claims the 12V battery died and that was the only issue and completed the 2 open recalls. There was no indication when I started the car that anything was wrong or the 12v battery was low or needed replacing. There are apparently no error codes from it completely failing while in ready mode. I was only told this happened because it was in park and the 12V battery failed while it was on and parked, if I had been driving I would still have use of the vehicle as the recall outlined for a failed ICCU when the 12V battery drains. They can find nothing else wrong but my concern is that a failed 12V battery could cause this while driving. I was told simply it cannot happen because the software handles it differently when driving. I hope that is correct.Read more

When i tried to brake, the brakes went all the way down and felt very spongy. I had to pump the brakes just so it would stop. So I pulled over into a parking spot turned off the truck and started it back up. The truck started up, but all the lights were still on. I tried to shift into drive but it wouldn't go in gear. I think is because the brake weren't going far enough to push whatever sensor allows the shifter to shift. I tried pumping the brakes and shifting and it worked. So i drove the truck home very carefully and parked it in my driveway. The next morning I called my sales man and left him a msg. He called me later that evening and asked me to bring it in on Monday morning. I did not use the truck during the weekend because it felt very unsafe to drive. On Monday morning i drove it to the dealership and left it there. They did give me a loaner vehicle. 2 days later I got a call from Dave the service manager and he let me know that the ring that fell on my foot holds a brake pedal in place and that they were going to replace the entire brake pedal assembly, the abs module, the brake booster and some ecm (i didn't understand which one). This truck has been unusable now for 7 days and I've only owned it for 13 days. It's been in the shop for 5 days now. The most dangerous part about it is again I’m driving on interstates heading to work, etc. and the car is slows down on the interstate not allowing me to go over 25 mph again having to pull over on the interstate to give the car a break, crank it back up and get to a safe location. After having multiple mechanics look at it, still unable to fix. It started to get worse where once it pops up engine power reduce, oil pressure low stop engine, the car started jerking & shaking really bad. The only way to stop this from happening is to again shut the car down. I can’t keep shutting the car down in the middle of the interstate and on major roads. I took the vehicle to the Chevy dealership first they couldn’t find the issue. They said it was another issue that wasn’t even the issue so I paid over $1600 for nothing. I took it to Rick Hendrick, who couldn’t find an issue and all they could tell me was to trade it in. This vehicle issue needs to be recalled. My bf is now having the exact same issue that my car was having & after researching, others are as well. Same year, same model, just a different color. My GMC is in the repair shop for the alert (shift to park). I was once again unable to turn off my car and place it safety in park. This is a known issue and GMC Dothan states the 2019 GMC Acadia with my vin number is not on recall?? This is a know dangerous safely issue.

The issues started with the sunroof not closing. And the uconnect touch screen inoperable ( it went black and no options available ) It seemed to be a fluke and resolved itself. But within a few weeks the icons for the driver and passenger seat heaters were no longer on the screen. Now that the season has changed and temps have dropped, the drivers side heater will automatically come on when
... the truck is started and it’s below a certain degree outside. It gets crazy hot and will only shut off when the truck is turned off. This was followed by the icons for the radio options resorting themselves and the one for USB disappearing as well. The usb connection still works, but it has to automatically switch over when plugged in, it cannot be manually selected. Lastly the ParkAssist seems to have a mind of its own. Sometimes it will function as intended. Other times when I start the truck it flashes a warning that the park assist is unavailable and the lights on the switches are on showing it’s been disengaged. When pushed they will flash and then turn solid again. Other times it will happen while I’m driving. There will be a ding and the unavailable warning will flash on the screen. When the icons first disappeared I called mopar/uconnect customer service. They tried to walk me through some diagnostics but none of it worked. They suggested maybe getting a software update. But couldn’t tell me if that would fix it or not. When I asked if it didn’t they just said I’d have to replace the whole uconnect system.Read more
