My truck lost power while driving on the interstate.. had to restart while traffic moved around me.. truck eventually restarted and then again died while getting off exit ramp in traffic. Towed to Dealership and was diagnosed with a "blown" rod bearing. Full Engine replacement.

I reached out to the GM CEO per email and no reply. I tried to get them to take the vehicle back and after supposedly fixing the engine after having it for 3 months I got it back with no loaner to use during this time. The engine failed again a month later. Again after supposedly fixing the engine it failed a third time. If failed the first time in January 2024 and the second time in May 2024 and then the third time in July 2024. I have anxiety and now taking medication from even driving this vehicle afraid it will stop again. Replacing the engine isn’t acceptable to me. Please help. The issue happened out of no where on its own, was not triggered by anything and could easily cause serious harm to others if this happens to them. The issue has been confirmed and repair by Safford Dodge of Fredericksburg VA. (See attached service invoices) They deemed it a failed connection for acceleration pedal. As of today, January 15, 2025, we still do not have resolution to this issue. We were informed to reach out to James River Dodge RAM, Ozark, Missouri. Following the initial remedy “patch” work done by the company, I was shocked to discover damages to the rear crossmember and compromising cracks in the welding of the body, as well as to the integrity and functionality of the wiring harnesses on my vehicle. Despite assurances that these damages would be addressed, I have been met with delays, unresponsiveness, and ultimately a subpar replacement body that does not meet the quality and craftsmanship of the original. The replacement body not only fails to match the size and finish of the original, but also poses serious safety risks due to missing bolts, faulty wiring harnesses, and overall poor construction. Despite my repeated attempts to seek resolution through the company’s Recall and Warranty departments, I have been met with dismissive treatment, unfounded accusations, and a refusal to address the issues at hand. This has not only caused financial loss and property damage but has also taken a toll on my emotional well-being and business operations. As a concerned customer, I am requesting your support to hold Reading Truck Body, LLC responsible for their actions and address all safety issues due to this recall. In addition, to require full recall remedy to replace the service body with one of equal quality, size, and finish as my original. Proper powder coating and meticulous craftsmanship are essential to restoring the value and integrity of my vehicle. ... lost all power . i tried to put it in park nothing happened. the truck and trailer started to roll backwards off an embankment. i got the emergency brake on. my wife and i exited the truck the whole front end was on fire 50 ft + flames . we got the horses out and away .according to parkhills mo. fire dept truck burned to the ground in less than 15 minutes. they stated it was a fuel fed fire. all the fire crew and responding police officers stated it was a common occurrence for that model ford to catch fire . this truck had 19,967 miles no modifications. no warnings ,no fuel smells .nothing to indicate any problems. truck went from running perfect to burned up in less than 15 minutes. total loss of the truck along with all my personal belongings. we were lucky ourselves and our horses escaped.
