While driving my ram truck, a notice goes across the cluster center saying to shift vehicle to park. No other lights go on like check engine lights etc. But the truck goes to a complete stop and makes you shift in to park then back in to drive this is dangerous because it happens to me while I am driving to include one time coming off the off ramp on the freeway possibly making someone rear end me

... ftware related to my car that was the source of the problem. They also told me the battery completely drained. The recall was due to a faulty PCM that the recall was for. You can see in the invoice the problem I communicated to the manufacturer before they diagnosed my vehicle. You can see clearly the vehicle was still active even after shutting off, likely causing the battery to drain completely. And due to the faulty PCM, it failed to tell the systems to shut down. Chrysler is giving me $100 for the tow. But they say the battery is out if basic warranty so will not reimburse me the $650 or so for the battery. My argument is that it doesn’t matter if the battery is out if basic warranty as the draining of it was a direct result of the recall and failed PCM. There is case law that supports the fact that If a recall-related defect (such as a faulty PCM) directly causes a secondary failure (e.g., battery damage), the manufacturer still bears responsibility, as the defect rendered the vehicle unfit for normal use.Read more

While driving my kids to school on the freeway I received an alert telling me that my engine was overheating! I was barely given any warning of the rising temperature to allow myself to pull over safely. It never informed me it was rising, only when it was redlined near the max engine temp to which I had to immediately find a place to pull over. I didn't have enough time to get to the next exit 1

Once cooled down enough, I was able to drive 1 mile to the next freeway exit but had to immediately pull over again into a center median as it was again overheating very quickly. My local dealership came to get the car and took my kids to school and me home while they inspected it and found a failing thermostat and water pump. I have only had the vehicle for 9 months and it only has 15,800 miles! This should not happen, at all, on a $135,000 vehicle. I also happened to notice a failing battery (no audio warning of this) on the display while scrolling through the menu looking for the engine temperature! There currently exists a recall (24T-009) on the Continental ProContact GX AO 255/35R19 96H XL tire which was the OEM tire on some MY21+ Audi A4/A5s. The recall was the result of the compound used on the inner and outer edges improperly dissipating heat, resulting in premature wear, and belt breakage. I have a 2023 Audi A4, [XXX] which has the OE Continental ProContact GX AO 245/40R18 97H XL on it

All maintenance and service intervals were completed early or on time by the certified Audi Dealer. All 4 tires show normal and safe tread wear with the exception of the inner and outer edges. There are no known mechanical defects or issues with the vehicle, and the ADAS system functions properly and without issue, so there is certainly no alignment issue significant enough for a system fault. I am concerned that the Continental ProContact GX AO 245/40R18 97H XL tires suffer from the same defect as those in NHTSA recall 24T-009 and that if not replaced due to premature wear, will create a risk of injury and death. He called Friday to say Hyundai longer makes the brake lines and he was searching for the front brake lines that corroded away and failed. Learned over the weekend that the Canadian government recalled almost 300K Hyundai vehicles for corroded or failed brake lines. Why hasn't the US addressed this serious safety issue? There is an active recall on the brake calipers and fuel pump for Acura Mdx 2017, and Hondas. My Acura Mdx 2017 has the same issues with a code of p07e4, which is the brake calipers. When looking up the recall of my car, there is no recall on it when inserting the VIN. My car is an Acura Mdx 2017; I do not understand why it is not included in the recall when it should.

Several times while driving the Atlas, the cars engine turn off unexpectedly while in drive. This has also happened while the car was in propulsion. Essentially, the engine kicks off thinking it is in idle. Clearly there is a “start/stop” button issue.

Yes, the issue has been confirmed by Kia. They acknowledged the high oil consumption and indicated that the engine requires a rod bearing replacement. However, Kia does not want to fully recognize the problem. I have taken the car to another mechanic who confirmed that the ignition coil has burnt on cylinder number 3 and identified it as an engine failure along with the high oil consumption.
