When I stopped in traffic, there are times the gear shifted from drive (D) to neutral (N) by itself. And sometimes the engine shuts off. This problem started last month until now. I brought the car to the dealership for diagnostic tests but according to them, they found no problem with my car. I saw in social media that lots of MDX owners experienced the same problem.

We have 2 2022 Jeep vehicles with the EcoDiesel engines in them (a Gladiator and Wrangler) that we purchased in 2022. I am filing a case for each of them on this site. In April 2023 there was a recall of the fuel pump on the 3.0 EcoDiesel and to date the problem has not been rectified for either of my vehicles. We have made notification to the dealership that we want to get this done but they say
... they do not have the parts in stock to do it. The dealership said they only get 1 fuel pump a month to replace and we are waiting and have been waiting for about a year since we notified the dealership for this safety issue to be rectified. I am filing this complaint as directed by the NHTSA website because I feel this issue has not been handled in a timely fashion and I believe that it is irresponsible of Jeep to not rectify this in a much quicker fashion. Each time we call the dealership we are told they do not know when it will be rectified.Read more

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000.I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the OTA (Over-the-Air) update process for my vehicle. The current OTA process is a disaster! The first update attempt was incomplete with only 1/3 of the up
... date installing. This caused issues and all subsequent OTA attempts failed, causing me not to be able to drive it for days and weeks at a time for fear of my safety and that of others. Ultimately, this resulted in me paying for a tech to fly to TN to finish the update in person, and complete the water pump recall. Since I was left in a state of uncertainty regarding the functionality of my vehicle I became forced to pay roughly $1,000 out of pocket for a mandatory free recall. I have yet to be reimburse for any of this cost, and frankly this should not have happened if the OTA process worked AND there were more techs available in the US to help people. I supposedly now have all of the updates for the car and the water pump replaced and this was all supposed to be free. This is on top of the NEW 12V battery I had to buy (another near $300) in order to allow updates to be installed because of the unsafe update process. Lastly, I am deeply concerned about the limited number of service personnel available in the U.S., with only around 20 individuals servicing the entire country and merely 5 traveling nationwide to assist customers with undriveable vehicles. This scarcity is unacceptable and leads to extended wait times for necessary repairs and updates. I urge you to address these pressing issues with the OTA update process promptly. I believe that a more efficient system should be considered. Thank you for taking the time to consider my concerns.Read more

Dear NTSB Team, I am writing to formally report a serious safety incident involving my 2019 BMW 530E, which occurred last night on [XXX] in Danville, CA. My feet were on the floorboard, my seat belt was on and the

Suddenly, about 10 minutes into our conversation, my car accelerated forward with speed, hit my friend’s garage door and then reversed with the same speed and stopped in the middle of the street. This happened within the span of a few seconds at most. I think that I applied the brakes while the car was reversing with speed and I remember the car not slowing down but then it coming to an abrupt stop in the middle of the street. There were deep skid marks on the driveway, my friend’s garage door was damaged, my friend’s Tesla X was damaged with impact to the rear bumper, this parked Tesla had moved forward and crashed in the wall of the garage and a garage cabinet door dislodged and fell on the hood of this Tesla. My friends parked Toyota Prius also had bumper damage. The garage drywall sustained cracks as well. The force from these unexpected accelerations and impact has left me and my friend with aches and pains in the back, shoulder, knees, hands, head and neck; thankfully, we did not suffer more severe injuries. I am gravely concerned about the potential for this defect to cause a catastrophic accident. Had there been pedestrians, pets or another vehicle in the path of my rapidly reversing vehicle, it could have led to serious injuries or even fatalities. I called my car insurance company, local police and I will notify the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and BMW of North America. Fisker attempted to install a software update (Software OS 2.2) to my vehicle over the air which was intended to address recall number 24V623000. This attempted software update caused the vehicle's 12 Volt battery to drain, resulting in the car activating its low battery audible alarm and damaging the battery requiring me to pay for a new battery and its installation. The software was not successf

Vehicle has continuous ongoing issues since day of purchase with big screen radio display. System randomly changes screens and drops connection with source over and over again while vehicle is in operation. This is also affecting the rear parking assist sensor system making it work randomly at times and give false triggers or sometimes no triggers when collision is about to happen. The random scre
... en changes are an EXTREME distraction while driving because the screen is extremely large in the center stack and when the image is randomly changing in your peripheral vision it draws driver's attention off the road. These connection issues also affect audio sources and make it necessary for the driver to interact with touch screen a ridiculous number of times per short drive further distracting the driver. There has been ongoing issues with this vehicle since the day I purchased it new. Multiple attempts by multiple different Ram dealerships to repair/resolve the issues with no solutions found yet. Actual radio unit in dash was replaced with 2 new units by dealers in attempts to resolve issues with no improvements. Dealerships have worked with Ram engineering and opened multiple STAR cases on vehicle in relation to these problems. Hello, The problem that I am having, and that many people have been having with the 8th generation Volkswagen Golf Rs (and GTIs as well) is with the "hill hold" feature. My car is manual transmission. When on a hill, the hill hold feature automatically holds the brakes after you take your foot off the brake. The way this feature is supposed to work is that the hill hold is supposed to release upo
... n clutch disengagement and throttle input. It does not do that. Rather, it bites really hard on the brakes and makes it very hard to move the car forward, often resulting in brake and clutch wear. This is a safety issue in that it can cause the car to stall, leaving the car without the ability to move out of the way of danger in the middle of an intersection. This has happened to me at least ten (10) times since purchasing this car in July of 2023. There is no way to adjust the hill hold feature or to turn it off. The design of this feature is counter-intuitive to the way that all manual transmission drivers have learned to drive. It should not be necessary to "plan ahead" to take your foot off the brakes and wait three seconds (about how long the hill hold stays engaged) before you can move forward. Cars should be designed to go forward when the driver wants to go forward. With this feature, it makes it dangerous to move from a stopped position on a hill because the car may stall, i.e. the hill hold doesn't let the brakes go upon throttle input and clutch disengagement. I have read hundreds of posts on social media and Volkswagen forums regarding this complaint. No one has had any luck with Volkswagen regarding fixing this issue. It's written into the code and would need to be coded out in a firmware update, or coded to permit adjustment. Prior versions of this car (6th, 7th generation) and other cars do not have this problem. This is specific to the 8th generation Golf R and GTI. Thank you for your attention to this matter.Read more

Dear National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, I am filing a formal complaint regarding excessively bright vehicle headlights, which pose a serious safety hazard by impairing visibility and increasing the risk of accidents. Many modern headlights are so intensely bright that they cause temporary blindness, lingering spots in vision, and severe glare, making it difficult to see the road saf
... ely. When multiple vehicles with these headlights pass, I struggle to maintain visibility and must focus on the road’s edge just to stay in my lane. This significantly reduces reaction time and creates unsafe driving conditions, especially at night. Evidence of the Issue: I have attached two photographs taken inside a restaurant, showing how a parked vehicle’s headlights were so bright that they penetrated through a window, creating extreme glare indoors. If this level of brightness is disruptive inside a building, its impact on drivers on the road is even more dangerous. Urgent Need for Regulation: The lack of standardization and regulation enforcement regarding headlight brightness has led to inconsistent and hazardous lighting conditions on the road. I urge the NHTSA to investigate this issue and consider implementing stricter regulations to reduce glare, standardize brightness levels, and protect drivers from unnecessary visual impairment. I appreciate your time and attention to this pressing matter. Please let me know if further information is needed. My ABS light keeps coming on intermittently. I been calling mopar since this recall started in 2024 and they are not supplying needed parts to the dealership to fix it. How are they getting by not fixing this.
