Approximately January 2022, several warning lights illuminated on my dash in conjuction with a warning chime. The warning lights and chime occurred intermittently. My truck was taken to the dealership with only 9710 miles on the odometer. A scan showed a code of C0020-01 ABS pump motor control general electrical failure. ... ver my engine he noticed a crack and mentioned that something was protruding out from the engine block he took a picture and than text it to me stating that the engine was damaged. We had another certified mechanic take a look at problem area that's when he also concluded that the motors extension rod broke thru causing engine failure admitting that engine is damaged and would need to be replaced. We thought this might be part of a recall we checked on (23V751000) that stated due to manufacturer error the connecting rod bearing in the engine may wear and seize damaging the engine, when I read this I had my pilot towed now to Honda service center where they claimed that my pilot had no known recalls and that I would have to pay out of pocket 10 k to repair because there was now a large hole in my engine.Originally I was told it would cost me about $200 to have them take a look at what was wrong with my car, but When I asked what the bill was for the inspection they said it was zero dollars because (without telling me first)they changed out the push start button,and that there wound be no charge. When I asked why they changed it out when I had already done 2 yrs ago myself and was reimbursed by Honda already. Honda service technician than proceeded to show me a photo that was taken of a large hole in my engine, telling me they had no idea why, and advised me my motor would have to be replaced. Due to a failed seal between the roof and the trunk door, water has leaked and corroded the exterior of the body over time. The corrosion has caused a hole to develop to the point that when it rains water leaks into the back of the car. As a result water entered the tail lights and caused the tail light to short out on one side. Some roofing tar and duck tape has helped with a temporary fix but it

Another problem is the power windows and the power locking and unlocking system have become glitchy and have failed to work at times. The key pad, keyless entry has completely stopped working and the lock mechanism for the driver side of the car has completely fallen apart and can no longer be used. The only way to unlock and lock the car is to use the key lock and unlock buttons. Lastly, the door hinges have ripped off on the passenger door which prevents the door from staying open. The extra bar that helps the door stay open broke off during a relatively moderate winds when the door got caught in a moderate level strength wind gust and completely broke off.Read more

When first starting the vehicle the camera routinely does not work and gives an error message "Camera is temporarily unavailable". This typically happens in the first minute or two. I have brought up this issue with the service center and they confirmed all software updates had been performed. Due to the design of the vehicle it's very hard to see out of the back so the camera is very important.

Grid Heater bolt failure. Grid heater bolt is secured by a nut below intake area. The nut on bolt melts and causes pieces and shards into cylinder #6 if not fixed immediately. This is a terrible design and expensive fix. I am 3rd person to have this problem recently amongst my friends. Metal in side motors should not be melting and or rotting into cylinders. Grid Heater bolt failure. Grid heater bolt is secured by a nut below intake area. The nut on bolt melts and causes pieces and shards into cylinder #6 if not fixed immediately. This is a terrible design and expensive fix. I am 3rd person to have this problem recently amongst my friends. Metal in side motors should not be melting and or rotting into cylinders. I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL series. I was driving down the highway, and the soft top latches sheared off, causing the top to rip back off the top of the Jeep. These clips fell down inside the car and sharp plastic pieces hit my sunglasses. The place where they sheared off was not at any boat locations or latching sections. This year was at the curve where it boats on to the soft top roof frame
... . The flat section where the sheer occurred was about 2 1/2 inches to 3 inches by only a quarter inch thick. This thickness was not substantial enough to hold the roof locked down tight. This could have created an accident as I was going down the highway at 60 miles an hour almost losing control of the vehicle. I have visited the dealer and called Jeep. Customer care they offer no support. I feel like this is a substantial safety issue that could cause someone to lose control of the vehicle and endanger themselves and others.Read more

On February 12, 25 my car received a software update. After the update I had several faults drive train, braking, camera faults, avoidance faults and the vehicle would not charge. It was basically bricked. The vehicle could not go into gear and was basically useless. I had to pay $1350 to have a technician get the car in a somewhat usable condition. ... e update. No warning were given to me before this unapproved update, that was done in the middle of the night, that basically ruined my car. I would hope there would be no further over the air updates. If updates need to be done, they should be done in person in case there are any problems with the update. The technician also told me that my motors are not able to accept this new update and if they try it again, my car will be bricked once again. I want to be taken off the list for any updates in the future. What they did to me is criminal!!Read more
