While in Dallas TX on Feb 23 2023 I took my car to dealer air bag light came on. Issue was seat belt sensor defective part number 95B 881 256 BA repair set seat occupancy sensor. Found out there are several Macan GTS 2018 same problem.

Without any notification from a malfunction indicator light, there was a sudden knock followed by loss of power. Luckily I was on a country road and not on the highway 99 where congested traffic could have been a hazard. My mechanic said it was a rod bearing code causing catastrophic failure of the motor.

No recall, but incidences where all warning lights come on the dash are all over user groups on the internet. Problem ALWAYS comes back to fuel injectors. The main issue is that it goes in to limp mode with no acceleration available without warning. This creates a HUGE safety issue in rush hour traffic. Honda does not acknowledge the problem with the injector and can offer no information as to when replacement injectors would be available.Read more

Through research, I discovered this is apparently a common complaint with this make, model, and year vehicle and that it needs to be reported. It finally completely stopped, I failed to start engine for few time and in the mean time the car had burning smell. I waited for 5-10 mins, then tried to restart the engine, car was started but it felt very weak and was really hard to control and steer. I stepped on gas but it's not accelerating. After 60 mins I called the road assistance again to follow up they said can’t find towing company and asked me to call my insurance instead. We took it to Landrover Denver in Littleton Colorado on 04/13/23, since then they have been struggling as well to find why it is smelling as bad as it is and they contacted Landrover USA without any luck, I contacted Landrover USA multiple times and they claim they aren’t aware of any of such issues with their vehicles and couldn’t be of help. Additionally, several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a tech support was assigned to provide remote assistance to the dealer in diagnosing the vehicle; however, the tech support was unable to duplicate the failure. This vehicle with less than 100,000 miles, that is less than 8 years old has an engine failure. This is due to a design defect which is known to Lincoln and Ford Motor Company as they have a technical service bulletin in regards to the coolant intrusion and engine failure. Lincoln is doing nothing to help fix the car with a faulty engine. This car will sputter when accelerating.

The tire pressure monitoring system light came on. I took it to the dealership and they said there is currently no fix for this problem. The front driver side tire also no longer registers on the warning screen. They said if a tire loses air while I'm driving, it's very possible that I will have no warning that it's happening.

We purchased this used vehicle, a Ford Edge Titanium with an Ecoboost 2.0 engine on January 19, 2023 from the Kia Store in Clarksburg, Indiana. During the first 30 days while still under dealership warranty the Check Engine Light (CEL) lit up. A scan at a local repair shop on January 31, 2023 indicated a misfire on Cylinder 3. When the CEL lit up again and we took the car back to the local repair shop who recommended all new spark plugs. That repair was performed. A few days later the CEL lit up again and a new ignition coil for cylinder 3 was recommended and that repair was performed. Recently, the CEL has lit up yrt sgsom and we also noticed that the vehicle is consuming coolant. There are no leaks and no coolant on the floor. After some research I discovered that these 2018 Ford Ecoboost engines appear to have a significant deaign flaw. In 2017 Ford stopped using a "closed deck" design in favor of an "open deck" design. Since then coolant intrusion into cylinders, mostly cylinders 2 and 4 have become commonplace. I understand that in 2022 Ford actually sent our a service bulletin (I think that is what it was) about this design flaw. I also understand that Ford routinely declines to cover the repairs if the vehicle is out of warranty, which we are. Unfortunately the indicated repair is a long block relacement. When we puchased the vehicle we also purchased a 3rd party extended warranty. If and when we suffer a breakdown that requires a replacement engine, the extended warranty covers the costs. Above and beyond the engine replacement costs, if this engine fails while we are driving it, the results could be catastrophic for us and others on the road.Read more

On 4 occasions, months apart, my 2020 Jeep Compass has given me a dashboard alert stating “coolant temperature too high” and the engine immediately stalls and shuts down. The first 3 times this occurred, the check engine light would come on and the vehicle would not restart and other alerts such as “service 4WD system” and “EBS not available” would display. At no time was the vehicle o

After sitting in the middle of an intersection for 5-10 minutes, the vehicle would finally turn on with the check engine light being off and no alerts displayed. The vehicle would then drive like nothing ever happened for a few months. The most recent time this unexpected shutdown occurred, as I slowed to approach a left hand turn the vehicle gave the coolant temperature error and shut down, losing power steering and making the break pedal incredibly hard to depress. I came to a stop in the turn lane and put it in park, only this time the vehicle could not be restarted at all and it had to be towed home and then the next day towed to the dealer for service. The vehicle is still in the dealers possession for servicing. This issue needs to be investigated and reconciled. If this were to happen on the freeway numerous lives would be at risk.Read more

This is a safety hazard as it causes the driver to be distracted in order to attend to the incessant beeping and issues related to AC/heat, navigation or radio (volume, etc.), and attempt to connect with emergency services. This appears from Chrysler Forums to be an issue among a large group of Chrysler 300 Year Model 2018 owners. The ioniq 5 has a one pedal driving mode, where the car will come to a complete stop without needing to press the brake pedal, similar to other EV's. In this mode, the gas pedal operates differently then in a conventional car - pressing the pedal approximately 1/3 of the way down represents neutral, where the car coasts. Pressing the pedal less then that - between 1/3 and not pressing it at all,

The issue is, the brake lights on the rear of the vehicle do not light up when the gas pedal is depressed any amount. If you press the gas pedal as lightly as possible, the car will brake a fair amount but there is no warning to driver's behind that you are decelerating. I have twice been almost rear-ended, both times while slowing down in one pedal mode. I suspect the lack of brake lights until you take your foot fully off the gas pedal is a contributing factor.
