After I turned the car back on the steering cleared, but as soon as I decided to go back home it locked back up. Now it's starting to lock back up this year. My major issue I have is the gas smell that's coming from the car. The smell is so strong, it's coming inside the car. When I went to get some tires put on car, the mechanic said he smelled the gas and there was a gas leak coming from the tank. The smell is so strong it can cause someone to pass out. It also causes the car to stall when trying to start it. I don't think this is safe. I have to drive my grand kids in my car. There needs to be a recall on this gas leak issue. Someone can get killed or badly injured if not taken seriously. I didn't have any warning signals appear at all about the gas/fuel issue.Read more

... ions where the Silverado infotainment/navigation system randomly unpairs itself from my iPhone and then I’m forced to handhold a phone for navigation which is illegal in my state. I’ve talked to others that have the same problem, the screen going blank and it unpairs whether wireless Bluetooth or USB connected to the proper port. Unacceptable for a $70,000 vehicle. Also GM apparently in an attempt to advertise Sirius radio and subscription plans displays what appear to be warning signs on the display thereby distracting a driver again. The only way to change out of the Sirrus default stations reliably is to push a very small software button smaller than a pencil eraser. Again you must take your eyes off the road for a couple seconds to perfectly align your finger with the active portion of the software button. I see no way to say default to say radio on startup. You can on the steering wheel toggle many pushes to get through factory presets but many of those presets take you back to the menus to order sirrus radio. My background is electrical engineering and IT systems. I’ve never seen a more complicated and unreliable sequences and I don’t believe GM fully tested it. There is no doubt in my mind it’s a serious distraction more so than just about any other distraction because it’s particularly annoying and then puts the driver in a bad mood. I understand Android phones work slightly better but the population of Apple phones is significant. He then told me about the staring damper, which then I looked everything up and saw that you had a class action settled where you were supposed to take cars in and fix them. However, this person seems scared of their own shadow, so who knows, but I asked for the history to see if anything had been done? And you guys, Jeep or Jeep, refuse to give it to me, said I would have to call the dealership, I called the dealership, they said, oh we don't give you a copy of that. I said, well, why wouldn't you? I mean, it is my car that I'm buying from y'all and they said, yeah, sorry, we don't do that. You'll have to get like a car, fax or something. I'm like, hold on, you guys. We have tried to get these errors fixed on multiple occasions with no luck so far. Hansel Ford of Petaluma has our car and is now telling us it will cost $2806.21 to replace the IPMA module to fix the problem, and that it is not covered under warranty. Ford has a TSB addressing the issue: TSB 23-2155. I have spoken with Ford Customer Care on multiple occasions asking for assistance and they have failed to provide any help. This issue is widely reported on Mach-E forums as a known and frequent safety issue.Read more

The “add engine oil” light kept coming on and I initially thought it was because they forgot to reset it after my oil change because my car wasn’t reading it was due for one. I came to find out that my car is likely burning excess oil, according to the dealership, since all of the oil was gone. GM says that it’s normal to burn oil and as long as it’s up to 2 quarts between oil changes

We had to go every 1,000 miles which was an issue because it’s our main vehicle for family transportation and sometimes I would have to go under 1,000 miles because we needed it for a longer trip and would be over if waited until we got back. Also, my engine fan was making a very loud noise that would run for a while after my car was turned off and I was told multiple times it was fine until one time they checked it and it was indeed an engine malfunction and my engine would overheat when I went above a certain speed. I made numerous attempts, phone calls and visits to 3 known honda dealers in Atlanta, GA. I kept getting the runaround, no parts or always something to avoid fixing my car. I called months ago to ask why I never received a letter from honda about the recall and the parts.

On February 10, 2025 at approximately 4:45 EST, I was driving approximately 55MPH in the far left lane of a multi-lane highway when I received a notice that my hybrid propulsion system had malfunctioned. Upon receiving the notice, I immediately lost power/propulsion of my vehicle although the warning notice disappeared and the screen made it appear that the vehicle was operating. As I pressed th

Upon stopping, the warning re-appeared and informed me to put the car in park and turn it off and restart the vehicle. At the time of failure, the battery had a remaining charge of 10% and 3/4 tank of gas. Upon restart, the vehicle functioned as normal using the gasoline powered engine. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. My safety was put at risk due to the loss of power in an area where most vehicles were operating near 55 MPH. The computer warning about the malfunction was confusing and it disappeared relatively quickly leading to significant confusion about how to operate the vehicle especially given that the dashboard returned to a normal state. The problem has not yet been reported to a dealer as they were closed for service. There were no warning lamps, messages, or symptoms prior to the failure other than the short warning that appeared at the start of the loss of power and referenced above.Read more

... wheel started feeling funny like I was driving on a really rough road. When I looked out my rear camera, it appeared that tire tread scraps were coming from my vehicle. After slowing down to the breakdown lane, I inspected all four tires and found that tread had separated from the middle of the drivers side rear tire. I was able to slowly make my way to a nearby rest area, when I got help changing the tire out to the spare. The tread separated and caused the van to be unstable. The flying tread pieces were a danger to other vehicles on the road. If I had continued driving, the tire could have exploded causing damage to my van and to other vehicles on the road. On February 3, 2025, while organizing digital records, discovered original GM Special Coverage Program notice from November 2021 covering turbocharger wastegate actuator linkage issues. Program promises coverage for 10 years/120,000 miles. At 68,283 miles, vehicle is well within coverage period. On February 3, 2025 at 4:19pm, called GM customer service (case #[XXX], 29 minute call). Rep Takesha spoke with supervisor Britney but refused transfer. Put on hold 4 times totaling over 6 minutes. When requesting Special Coverage Program information, rep repeatedly stated 'it was not done at a dealership' over 15 times as blanket response. Initially cited expired bumper-to-bumper warranty from 2019 (irrelevant to Special Coverage). When pressed, shifted to claiming 'no active recalls' for VIN. Stated 'the decision has already been made, and a supervisor will tell you the same decision,' refusing escalation or document review. "check turn signal error". This message pops up at random times. When this error does pop up, the rear turn signal ceases to operate until the error message clears itself. Dealership "cannot duplicate". I have photographed the warning many times. Hyundai corporate is of no help. Check LED headlamp error issue as well.
