I am submitting a complaint regarding my Polestar 3, which is subject to two open NHTSA safety recalls: 26V-037 and 25V-555. I attempted to have these recalls addressed on March 7, 2026, at Volvo Manhattan (an authorized Polestar service provider). ... all. No follow-up occurred. On April 30, 2026, I contacted the Polestar service desk at Volvo Manhattan again. I was informed that they currently have only two Polestar technicians, that they are unable to schedule a service appointment, and that no timeline can be provided for when recall service will be available. As of today, I have been unable to obtain any appointment to remedy these safety recalls, nor any estimate of when the defects will be corrected. I am concerned that Polestar is failing to meet its obligations under federal law to provide a timely remedy for safety recalls. My vehicle is approximately one year old and remains in service with unresolved safety issues. I request that NHTSA investigate whether Polestar is complying with recall remedy requirements in the United States, particularly with respect to service capacity and availability.Read more

... [XXX], I was involved in an accident in which I struck a curb after sliding on black ice. The damage included a bent lower control arm and a cracked subframe. I brought the vehicle to Cherry Hill Jeep Chrysler Dodge for repairs, which took approximately three weeks. I took delivery of the repaired vehicle on March 13, 2026. Upon taking delivery, I immediately noticed a severe misalignment. The wheel misalignment is so pronounced it is visually apparent while driving. I returned the vehicle to the dealership and they acknowledged the alignment issue. They have since told me there are additional parts needed to complete the repair, and that those parts have not yet arrived. As of today, April 10, 2026, the dealership has confirmed they still do not know when the parts will arrive. Despite the unresolved alignment issue, the dealership has deemed the vehicle 'drivable' and I have been left with no choice but to continue driving it. My daily commute is approximately 60 miles per day, 6 days per week. I have driven hundreds of miles in this condition. Driving a vehicle with severe wheel misalignment poses serious safety risks, including unpredictable handling, accelerated and uneven tire wear leading to potential tire failure, and reduced ability to maintain control in emergency situations — particularly concerning given that this vehicle's incident originated on icy roads. I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate the dealership's decision to return this vehicle to me in an unsafe condition and require me to continue operating it without a timeline INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA)Read more

The air conditioning system on my 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid has failed due to a refrigerant leak. The symptoms began with a complete loss of cooling on the driver’s side while the passenger side remained cool. Eventually, the system failed to provide cool air to the entire cabin. This is a significant safety concern as the failure of the A/C system prevents the climate control from effectively de
... humidifying the cabin air. During humid or rainy conditions, this leads to rapid windshield fogging that cannot be cleared by the defroster, severely impairing driver visibility. There are known service bulletins and warranty extensions for A/C components (condensers and compressor seals) on similar Honda models and years, yet my specific VIN is currently excluded despite exhibiting identical failure patterns. I am seeking a formal investigation to ensure this defect is addressed as a safety recall.Read more

I own a 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning, with 48,200 miles and 2.5 years of ownership. Recently, my truck began displaying a “Powertrain / Reduced Power” warning while driving, and the air conditioning stopped producing cold air. The dealer scanned the vehicle and found DTC P0534 – A/C System Charge Loss. Further diagnostics indicated that multiple vehicle modules may require reprogramming and sof
... tware updates. The dealer stated they need to evacuate and recharge the AC system, add dye, and remove front trunk components to locate the leak. This AC system is part of the high-voltage battery and eDrive thermal management system, meaning that failure of the HVAC system affects battery cooling and powertrain performance. Loss of cabin cooling is a symptom of a thermal system malfunction, which can lead to battery overheating, powertrain derating, and reduced driving performance. The combination of unexpected reduced power and loss of cabin cooling creates a safety risk, particularly during highway driving, merging, or situations requiring acceleration. These failures occurred at relatively low mileage and are associated with the high-voltage EV system, which should be functioning properly to ensure safe vehicle operation. I am submitting this complaint to report a potential safety defect with the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning affecting the battery thermal management, high-voltage AC system, and eDrive components, which can result in sudden power loss and compromised vehicle safety.Read more

I am filing a safety complaint regarding my 2019 Infiniti QX50 experiencing engine failure consistent with known bearing defects. On February 13, 2026, while driving from [XXX] to [XXX] on the highway, my vehicle began shaking severely, producing a rattling/knocking noise from the engine, and losing power while in motion. This created a dangerous driving condition and required the vehicle to be
... towed. The vehicle was taken to a repair shop in [XXX] , where it was diagnosed with engine bearing failure. The shop indicated that this issue was consistent with a known defect and that there was an active recall related to engine bearings at that time. Based on that information, the vehicle was towed to Bob Moore Infiniti in [XXX] for recall inspection and repair. Initially, the dealership indicated that there was an issue and that it was associated with a recall. However, they later reversed their position and stated that the vehicle was “fine” and did not perform any recall repair, despite the ongoing symptoms and prior diagnosis. The vehicle continues to exhibit the same dangerous symptoms, including shaking, engine knocking, and loss of power, and remains diagnosed by another repair facility as having engine bearing failure. This is a serious safety concern because the vehicle can lose power unexpectedly while driving at highway speeds. Additionally, there appears to be inconsistency in how this known defect is being handled, as my vehicle was initially identified as affected but later denied repair. I am requesting further investigation into engine bearing failures in the Infiniti QX50, as well as inconsistent recall application for this defect. In July 2022, following a battery replacement by the same dealership, the vehicle repeatedly lost power and stalled, leaving me stranded multiple times. I paid for diagnostic testing, but there is no documentation confirming proper diagnosis or repair. I was later advised incorrect hardware had been installed. On 02/27/2026, I was told the check engine light was on and diagnostic codes were cleared without repair. There is no documentation of the codes or repairs performed. I was also informed on 11/19/2022 that parts were ordered for a safety recall. From that date until 02/27/2026, I was repeatedly told parts were unavailable. I scheduled repair and dropped off the vehicle on 03/13/2026. I received notice that repair had begun, but later discovered the vehicle had not been serviced at all. No explanation was provided. Additionally, service records are inaccurate. A vehicle history report shows service on 03/17/2026 at a dealership I have never visited. The vehicle was not serviced anywhere on that date. I am filing a formal safety complaint regarding my 2020 Hyundai Palisade due to severe and ongoing engine oil consumption that presents a safety risk, combined with an active federal airbag safety recall. For approximately one year, my vehicle has been consuming excessive engine oil. Approximately 1,500–2,000 miles after an oil change, the vehicle becomes dangerously low on oil. On January 19, 2
... 026, at 171,650 miles, the dealership initiated Hyundai’s official oil consumption test. At intake, the engine oil level was so low that nothing was visible on the dipstick. The dealership confirmed no external oil leaks were present and began the manufacturer’s oil consumption protocol. After driving approximately 1,000 miles, I returned on February 2, 2026, at 172,657 miles. The inspection showed the engine was 2.6 quarts low. The dealership stated combustion chamber cleaning was needed; however, Hyundai denied the repair based solely on mileage and the vehicle being out of warranty. This level of oil consumption presents a serious safety concern. Driving with critically low oil can cause sudden engine failure, stalling, or loss of power while traveling at highway speeds. This could create a crash hazard without warning. Additionally, my vehicle is subject to NHTSA Recall #26V034000 (Recall #292 – Ejection Mitigation), involving potential failure of the side curtain airbags for third-row passengers to deploy properly in certain crash scenarios. The remedy is not yet available. The combination of excessive oil consumption and an unresolved federal safety recall raises significant concerns regarding the overall safety and reliability of this vehicle. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate the engine oil consumption issue in the 2020 Hyundai Palisade, as excessive oil burning may indicate a broader manufacturing defect affecting engine integrity and driver safety. This created dangerous situations when merging onto highways, crossing intersections, or making turns, as the car could not accelerate to avoid other vehicles or hazards. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. Independent mechanics confirmed repeated ECU and MAF sensor failures. In February 2025, after the vehicle stalled at an intersection, multiple repairs were attempted (alternator, key reset, starter replacement), but the drivability issues persisted, confirming the problem. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle has been inspected by independent mechanics multiple times. Insurance roadside service documented over ten incidents where the vehicle would not start or stalled, including two towing events. The manufacturer has not inspected this specific vehicle. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes. Both rear power sliding doors on my 2019 Honda Odyssey failed at approximately 74,000 miles. The sliding door motors can be heard running, but the doors do not move and cannot be opened normally. The doors are available for inspection upon request. This failure prevents rear passengers from safely exiting the vehicle. In an emergency situation, this could prevent evacuation and creates a serious s
... afety risk, especially when transporting children or passengers seated in the rear. A dashboard warning message related to the sliding doors appeared at the time of failure. The condition occurs consistently on both doors. The vehicle was inspected by an authorized Honda dealer, who confirmed a malfunction in the sliding door system and provided a repair estimate. The vehicle has not been inspected by police or insurance representatives. This appears to be a significant sliding door system failure affecting both rear doors simultaneously.Read more

Both of the front door lock actuators went out, so the vehicle won’t lock at all & I can’t use my Toyota app that I pay for. The left back door/hatch rail that lifts up the door is making a loud sound upon opening & getting stuck when opening. Have to push the open button several times or open it manually to get it to open at all. Have taken it to the Toyota dealer to inspect both & both are c

i had taken care of the recall items in regards to the failing 6.2L engine. I was driving on the highway (going ~70mph) when all of a sudden the car kicked into neutral and the engine shut off. I was able to pull over, but the engine would not turn on. Electronics worked, but I think i had a total engine failure at 42k miles.

My car was parked, without any trees or other objects that could possibly damage my car near by, and the glass on my front windshield cracked for absolutely no reason. On February 21st at approximately 9:30 AM, I was driving my brand-new 2026 Chevy Suburban High Country when I began hearing an unusual noise from the engine. There were zero dashboard warnings — no check engine light, no alerts, nothing indicating a failure. Out of caution, I immediately headed to the dealership so they could inspect it. I was driving slowly and carefully when, without any warn
... ing whatsoever, the engine suddenly and completely seized. The vehicle locked up abruptly. I barely had enough time to try to move toward the shoulder, and I was unable to fully clear the roadway — the rear half of the vehicle remained partially in traffic. It was an extremely dangerous situation. What is especially alarming is that I was not on the highway at the time. Had this occurred while traveling 80–85 mph on SH-130 in Texas — which is a normal speed limit there — the outcome could have been catastrophic. A complete engine seizure at highway speeds could have caused a major accident involving multiple vehicles. Even more concerning, my Chevrolet app (connected through OnStar) still shows no issues or alerts with the vehicle. The attached pictures are from the My Chevrolet app on Sunday, 02/22/2026, around 11:13 AM. This is a brand-new vehicle, and I was informed yesterday that the dealership has requested a full engine replacement. I have no timeline for the repair. For a vehicle of this price point, a sudden engine seizure with zero warnings is deeply concerning from both a safety and reliability standpoint.Read more

Dealership attempted to charge 150 for checking the recall. They then told me to talk to Corpo
