I was driving down the interstate when my driver side EXTERIOR A-PILLAR APPLIQUE TRIM CLIP ATTACHMENT broke off in two pieces at around 75-80 mph nearly missing the car behind me, with both pieces. The clip that holds it looks to be broken at one of the anchor points,and the adhesive that also hold it on seems to have lost it's tackiness.

The car's rear camera freezes up for a few second and then blacks out intermittently. An error code even appears, "Camera is temporarily unavailable." I am terrified that one of my kids (or someone else) is going to run behind the car and I won't realize it because the camera is frozen. I came across correspondence on the internet from [XXX] referencing service action S29843 - fuel tank filler pipe insert was manufactured out of specification for ONLY T8 engines. I reached out to Volvo Car USA customer care and inquired about them covering the cost of the repairs and also informing them that this problem is not only affecting T8 engines. I just received a response for my concern stating THEY ARE SORRY THEY CAN NOT ASSIST ME WITH THIS MATTER. I cannot begin to express how sadden and disappointed in the corporation, to experience their lack of compassion and. concern about their product after I spent thousands of dollars of my hard earned money on this defective car. I have no faith in Volvo and no longer feel safe driving this car. I will tell all my relatives and friends of my experience to save them from Volvo's lack of concern about their CUSTOMERS' safety. This is clearly no wear and tear. There are multiple posts on the internet. Took the car to Ford Auto Nation in July of 2023 and paid over 3000.00 to have fixed. Not even a week later the steering was locking up more. Took the car back and they have had it ever since. The vehicle improperly sensed an impending rear collision when there was no vehicle present. The vehicle entered a mode where the electronic seatbelt tensioners aggressively pulled the occupants and did not release until the seatbelt latches were depressed. This happened in traffic. The occupants sustained soft tissue injuries. The manufacturer refused to acknowledge the situation.

They informed me this is actually a much larger known issue with this engine. The ring on the cylinder shifts/brakes allowing oil to come up and it ruins the spark plug, causing a misfire. They have to do a complete engine rebuild. The mechanic advised Honda knows about this issue and they see it all the time. They also warned me it is dangerous to drive the vehicle when this occurs as the engine could fail and there is a fire risk from the unburned fuel in the exhaust.Read more

I have six recorded incidents over three different trips where I was traveling at highway speeds on I-84. While utilizing cruise control, weather was clear and roads were dry with no vehicles in front of, behind or to the side of me. Happens sporadically, usually immediately after getting into the car and multiple people in forums have reported the same issue. Even after multiple OS updates from Polestar, the issue still happens.
