After making it through the light I was rolling 10mph still helpless but seen a gas station on my right and rolled into their parking lot and drove towards a curb and used the curb to stop my vehicle. The vehicle had the following warning lights and messages: Lane Change Alert System Off, Brake system failure 62mph top speed, service traction control, service ESC, and trailer brakes disabled service required. I then got the vehicle towed to the dealership while still on and in the running position with all the codes still active. The dealer was able to scan the truck in and see the codes but told me they wouldn’t be able to get to it till the following week so they parked the vehicle and turned it off. When they got to my vehicle the following week they sent me a text and said I quote “Hey ****** its **** from Chevy, I do not have the best news lol he can not get it to act up and there are no current codes he has driven and nothing has happened, as of now there is nothing further he can do”. After receiving that text I called them to just be told they can’t get it to do it again and there is nothing they can do. But I told them I refuse to pick up this vehicle because it had a critical safety issue. This vehicle suffered a catastrophic failure, brakes and steering were lost in an intersection. I purchased a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee on [XXX] unaware that the vehicle was subject to a federal safety recall and stop-sale order. The recall (NHTSA 24V-838 / Manufacturer 94B) was issued on November 7, 2024, for a defect in the ABS control module that may disable the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and cause unintended vehicle movement even while stationary.

Despite this, the dealership sold me the vehicle while the recall was still open and unrepaired. In the months following my purchase, I began experiencing issues with the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC). On June 15, 2025, I paid $770 out-of-pocket for ETC sensor repairs after a loss of throttle response. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, but this defect may be linked to the broader electronic issues cited in the recall. No warning lights appeared in advance. I have been driving this vehicle daily without knowing it could malfunction in a way that puts myself and others at risk. I only learned of the recall on June 22, 2025, when I searched the VIN through NHTSA’s database. This has caused emotional distress, financial harm, and a complete loss of trust in the vehicle’s safety. According to the original owner, he took it from IN to FL twice and I put about 3k miles on it according to my records so it only has maybe 10k miles. Looking at the amount of rust and condition of the paint compared to the rest of the underside of the camper, it looks to have been broken almost as long as the rest of the camper. This issue HAS resulted in the loss of trailer braking on a 13k lb GVWR camper. This issue does cause loss of stiffness in the frame that COULD result in excessive flex causing damage to the camper while going down the road up to catastrophic failure of the frame.Read more

But before it was adequately diagnosed by the dealer, both headlights were affected and the fix was to replace the entire headlight assembly and replacement was quoted ~ $5000. There several years that are under recall currently and our year is not one of them but it has the same pump. They should not only issue recalls on all trucks that have the known failing CP4 pump, but also give the customers the option to upgrade with the after market DCR pump. The one pump that has been the #1 best replacement option. Installing a new CP4 pump only buys Ford mote time to next failure and keeps their ships full. We spent 50k on this truck. Again, it already happened once! Let's be sure to issue recalls on ALL trucks with CP4 pumps with a real solution and not just another dangerous CP4. One clearly shows a linear crack near the bolt. In the other, you can see the factory-applied green alignment marker is now offset, further indicating a structural failure.
