Car was charging normally and all of a sudden it stopped charging both level 2 and DC. No warning nothing and seems like a common occurrence in this car and after warranty is over. I own a 2022 Acura MDX SH-AWD with approximately 85,000 miles. The issue began suddenly while driving around 5 mph when two loud bangs were heard from the rear drivetrain/transfer case area. After the initial incident, the vehicle was driven home, and the problem became consistently noticeable during any acceleration from a stop or low speed. The drivetrain would clunk/slip during acceleration and
... exhibited abnormal engagement behavior. Due to concern about causing further drivetrain damage or a potential safety issue, the vehicle was subsequently towed to an Acura dealer for diagnosis. The Acura dealer confirmed that both the transfer case and transmission require replacement due to “worn teeth on splines.” The repair estimate specifically states: “REPLACE TRANSFER CASE AND TRANSMISSION DUE TO WORN TEETH ON SPLINES.” Estimated repair cost is approximately $11,400. I have photographs and repair documentation related to the failure. This failure created a potential safety concern because the drivetrain was no longer operating normally and produced loud clunking/slipping during acceleration from stops and low speeds. A drivetrain or power transfer failure could increase the risk of loss of propulsion or inability to accelerate normally into traffic. The issue was reproduced and confirmed by the Acura dealer. The vehicle has been regularly maintained, including drivetrain fluid services, through Acura/Honda service facilities. There were no warning lights, dashboard messages, or electronic indications before or after the failure event. The only indication was the loud banging noise from the drivetrain/transfer case area and the resulting abnormal drivetrain behavior during acceleration. The service manager also indicated they had seen several similar cases involving this issue.Read more

I have a 2013 ford mustang with 6R80 transmission as my wife was driving down the high way the suddenly shift down to 1 or second at 65 miles per hour and the car skidded out of control almost killing her and the people in the other lain I checked on recalls for this problem and I am getting conflicting answer. It says that some mustang have been recalled for the TCM and most all 6R80 transmission
... in the f150 and a couple other Ford vehicals that support the same transmission. My question is why would my 2013 ford mustang not be in the recall when clearly when I resurch it there is many issues out there with this car and TCM. Is this a wait until someone gets killed by the grace of God no one was hurt in my wife's situation and the car has to be parked until something is done to it so it doesn't happen again but like any dealer ship they want a very large amount of money to repair or replace the TCM. AKA lead frame is what I am told. I would like an answer on why this has been over looked please. Thank you God bless.Read more

While driving with a trailer after leaving a jobsite in [XXX] , the vehicle experienced a sudden electrical failure while in motion. The instrument cluster/speedometer screen went completely black and the vehicle lights stopped functioning properly while driving at night. During the incident, we lost the speedometer display and visibility from the vehicle lighting system, creating a serious safet
... y hazard while towing a trailer on public roads. Because of the electrical failure, we were forced to pull off on the side of the road to avoid a potentially dangerous situation. After shutting the truck down and waiting approximately one hour, the vehicle was restarted and the systems eventually began functioning again. This vehicle is used regularly for commercial towing and jobsite operations. A sudden loss of instrument display, lighting systems, and electrical functionality while towing creates a major safety concern for both the occupants of the vehicle and surrounding traffic. The failure appeared intermittent because the vehicle resumed operation after sitting for a period of time. However, the incident involved complete loss of critical vehicle display and lighting systems while driving. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Vehicle has multiple ongoing defects, most critically a malfunctioning occupant detection system causing the alarm to activate randomly, including overnight when the vehicle is empty. This creates a safety concern and repeated public disturbances. The issue has not been resolved despite multiple service attempts. Additional issues include persistent propulsion system fault messages, repeated majo

Infotainment system is extremely slow and unreliable, and both the center display and driver screen reset unexpectedly while driving or parked. Driver-side window intermittently reports as open or cracks open without input. Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay connections are unreliable. Driver profile settings do not consistently adjust seating and mirror positions. Mechanical issues include a glove compartment that does not open, premature wiper failure, and a front wheel center cap that detached while driving. Vehicle has required multiple tows and has been in service for an extended period (approximately one month) without resolution. Dealer Installation of Flashing Stop Lamp Module A dealership installed an aftermarket module on my vehicle that causes the center high-mounted stop lamp (third brake light / CHMSL) to flash several times before becoming steady when the brakes are applied. Under Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108 (49 CFR §571.108), stop lamps are required to be wired as steady-burning lamps. Section
... S5.5.10(d) states that all lamps other than those specifically permitted to flash must be wired to be steady burning. Stop lamps, including the center high-mounted stop lamp, are not among the lamps permitted to flash. Because the flashing behavior was created by a device installed by a dealer, this modification may render the stop lamp system non-compliant with FMVSS No. 108 and may violate the “make inoperative” prohibition under 49 U.S.C. §30122, which prohibits dealers or repair businesses from knowingly making inoperative a device or element of design installed in compliance with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. I wouldn’t be able to help him as fast as it would be needed to help him out or what if I am deceased and he needs to get out. I asked for a loaner from them and the dealership said they don’t have loaners approved yet. I heard when this happened with Chevy Bolt/Volt Chevy had loaners within 2 weeks. I understand I am not the only one however I have a paraplegic spouse. Is there any assistance we may get? I have to use the car to go to work and being a single income couple, I can’t pay almost $1000 a month for a car and pay for a rental too.Read more

2021 Polestar 2, consistently the rear back up camera fails to display. In my case the issue did not occur until my car was updated past 3.2.8. The issue is caused by extremely dated hardware. The processor, and memory are insufficient for the more modern software that is being released. I also believe this is why my car will slam on the brakes in reverse when there is no object behind the car whi
... le I am reversing. Polestar has released a IHU hardware upgrade in other Polestar markets, but has not given any dates or information for this to be released in the US. A further software update is not going to rectify this issue, unless features are removed to fre up resources. Not a safety concern but Media will stop playing in SiriusXM and have to be restarted after 20 minutes of driving. After parking over night the IHU will take 2-3 minutes to fully wake up to be able to set navigation or activeate Apple Car play.Read more

My 2019 Toyota Tacoma (Super White) is experiencing paint chipping and delamination across multiple body panels. Toyota has acknowledged this defect in limited repair programs, but my vehicle is affected beyond the covered areas. Paint loss exposes underlying primer/metal and may lead to corrosion over time. This appears widespread among similar model-year Tacomas.

Vehicle, in one-pedal-drive, began to enter an intersection from a stop sign into a left turn--mild reasonable torque applied onto a 25mph street. Vehicle entered intersection and began stuttering/slow/shaking until near/complete stop and loss of acceleration in middle of busy intersection. Traction control light illuminated briefly prior to resumption of acceleration. Road conditions were dry, sl
... ightly foggy. There was no reason for safety systems/ABS/Traction control etc. to over react. Honda dealership reported no relevant code to explain incident--which indicates vehicle also did not flag it as an aberration. Vehicle had just been at dealership day prior and received software update and reported inspection. Honda dealership will not take further action unless reproducible with error codes to tell them how to address. Specific component, electrical, or software failure reportedly unknown and remains unaddressed by Honda at this time.Read more

The vehicle has experienced repeated failures of the high-voltage charging system that prevent normal charging. The first failure occurred at approximately 511 miles, with warning messages related to the charging/high-voltage system and inability to charge reliably using normal AC charging equipment. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer/service center and the issue was confirmed. The veh
... icle was out of service from December 1, 2025 to January 9, 2026 for diagnosis/repair. After being returned, the same charging-related failure reoccurred. The vehicle again went back to the authorized service center and has been out of service from February 10, 2026 to March 4, 2026 and counting. (the issue remains unresolved / parts are on order). Total time out of service is approximately 63 days for the same defect. Current mileage is approximately 1,070 miles. In addition, when attempting to charge using DC fast charging, charging performance was also abnormal. The DC fast charging rate was significantly reduced and it took approximately one hour to add only a small amount of range/energy. This defect creates a safety risk because the vehicle cannot be charged reliably, increasing the risk of being stranded without the ability to safely operate the vehicle as intended, including being unable to travel to a safe location if the battery becomes depleted. The authorized dealer/service center has reproduced/confirmed the problem and the affected components are available for inspection at the service facility upon request.Read more
