After a decel to 20ish mph, the automated manual transmission attempted to shift into gear to begin acceleration. The transmission made load noises indicating a failure followed by a transmission warning with the fault code being 617 FMI 14. All acceleration and engine braking ability was disabled, increasing the risk of an accident due to the vehicle being disabled. A similar safety recall for th
... e same vehicle would be NHTSA #24V-190 which causes the vehicle to become disabled and increase a crash risk. This is a known issue caused by compressed air contamination according to Eaton Transmissions service bulletin TAIB-1006, which was first published April 2023. In the over 3 years since the service bulletin was released, Eaton, Peterbilt, Paccar, and Cummins(engine manufacturers) have failed to develop adjusted maintenance intervals, added inspections, or additional filtration to prevent contamination of the transmissions air system. They've instead passed the financial burden of repair on the customers by denying warranties. The dealer determined based on TAIB-1006 that the MTM requires replacement and the air system cleaned of contamination. This was based on data and not a detailed inspection to determine the internal failure.Read more

This vehicle about 6-8 weeks ago started throwing codes for all systems above (over 100 codes). This issue affected all systems of the vehicle including but not limited to the speed and braking of the vehicle, plus the fuel system and adaptive driving systems. We took it back to the same shop, they worked with Paccar and determined it needed a new ECM (Computer), this was changed out and still did not resolve issue. They then changed out the main wire harness. This resolved some issues but not all issues. Now the repair dealer is stating it needs a dash wire harness. This vehicle has relatively low miles 500K and has only been serviced by Peterbilt dealers through it's life. This issue causes the vehicle to accelerate and brake randomly plus many other issues by stopping power in hauling. We have another IDENTICAL vehicle which is now doing the same thing but have not brought it into the shop yet until manufacturer can get this 1st truck fixed properly to ensure safety.Read more

I purchased this vehicle in July 2020. I did a through check for recalls, warranty problems and could not identify any with this vehicle. From the get go the check engine light would come on. ... the same issue. Eventually I started using a catalytic converter cleaner (it cleans off sulfur deposits) in an attempt to solve the issue. It would work for a couple of tanks of gas and then continuing coding. I asked MB on numerous occasions about what the issue was. They all said they had no idea. It looks to me like they knew what the issue was, but kept it to themselves. Several weeks ago I received a letter in the mail(not dated by postmark) but the letter was dated August, 2023. The letter outlined an issue with the catalytic converter system identifying my vehicle by vin. The same problem I have had all along. The letter came at a time when the car codes almost daily with the same issue as always, ONLY NOW THE VEHICLE STALLS occasionally while waiting at stop lights. I said great. I called to get an appointment to fix the issue only to be told that the fix window had passed. I told them that I just got the letter. They told me that the fix expired in December 2023. I called MB hotline at 1-800-367-6372 to see what was up. They said they would get back to me in 3 days. It's been a week so I called again and they advised me they can't help. Around October 29th my vehicle developed a faint to loud noise within 24 hours. There was no engine light, no leaking of fluids and no other warning. The shop we took my vehicle too was not able to do any repair or diagnosis so it was towed to Honda of Olathe, then New Concept Auto and finally
... Sallas Auto. On November 10th, I was told my engine needed to be replaced due to bearing issue. The mechanic ran diagnostic tests and did not find any past cleared codes or active codes that should have been triggered by an engine issue. My vehicle was serviced regularly. Most recent was an oil change end July/Early August, no issues were found, no metal flakes. In that short period of time my engine failed and I had to replace with a used 2018 engine. During this time we were informed by friends of the Honda Odyssey recall for 2018 engines, however upon calling Honda Corporate, I was told my specific 2018 Honda Odyssey was not included and would "not be covered at this time, if ever". The issue is with autostart, enhanced auto pilot and lane departure warning. I paid for Enhanced auto pilot. This car totally relies on cameras. 1. For early adopters of Model3 FSD, manufacturer updated the cameras. However they did no

For the same reason, on a 3 lane or more highway, on autopilot when one moves from speed most lane and if there is a truck on the slowest lane, the camera shows somehow that the truck is on the middle lane when it is not, and hence the software assumes an impending crash and pulls you back to the speed most lane, giving no time for anyone behind you to think anyone, and leaves yourself in a dumbfounded state. 3. Without the upgraded cameras, Autopilot is prone to accidents. 4. Car tent to automatically brake when sun directly shines on the driver or there is a bridge in front of you while on autopilot. I believe this has something to do with the older version of cameras.Read more

The issue is with autostart, enhanced auto pilot and lane departure warning. I paid for Enhanced auto pilot. This car totally relies on cameras. 1. In the slightest occurrence of rain, it complains about one or more cameras malfunctioning or out of vision. This doesn't happen often in Full Self Driving version. For early adopters of Model3 FSD, manufacturer updated the cameras. However they did no
... t do that for early Enhanced Autopilot customers. 2.

Was having brakes replaced and was informed the aluminum coating on the lug nuts had swollen and could not be removed/tightened with the normal sized lug wrench. Was not concerned until I realized that meant that if I had a flat on the road, the lug wrench that came with the vehicle would not work. Not a fan of being stranded on the side of the road with no way to change a tire. Understand that Fo
... rd is not recognizing this as an issue. I find it to be a serious safety issue if you have to be stuck on the side of the road for an extended period because you have to wait for someone with the correct tool to show up because the one provided with the vehicle is no longer sufficient.Read more

Every 12-18 months I need to change something called a flexible pipe part# 1860417. A crack happens to form on the same end of the part. I asked Peterbilt worker about it and he said that they do see this part changed out a lot.
