Nissan has put a service campaign P9324 as a known issue for rear lower suspension corrosion. Last week as I was driving my vehicle collapsed on its back tire there was no safety warning lights that had come on. I was able to safely pull off the road however if I had been driving in a highway this would have more than likely put myself and others at grave risk. After towing to a local garage I ha

I have 2 different issues. One is the passenger rear door not wanting to open sometimes from outside sometimes from inside. Then sometimes it won't unlock and sometimes it won't lock. This issue started about 3 months ago. Second is my clock time both on the dashboard and the one where the radio/GPS shows it goes crazy from time to time. I just didn't know it was something we could report. This h

On April 23, 2026, while driving my 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 , the Automatic Emergency Braking system completely failed to detect an oncoming hazard. The system did not alert me, did not activate, and did not apply emergency braking. I nearly collided with another vehicle as a direct result of this failure. The vehicle has a persistent diagnostic trouble code C28AB87 — CAN time-out for the front rad
... ar unit — which disables critical Advanced Driver Assistance Systems including Automatic Emergency Braking, collision avoidance, and Smart/Adaptive Cruise Control. This is the same defect that has been present since early in my lease. The vehicle has been presented for repair at two different Hyundai dealerships on three separate occasions: Attempt 1 — Oxmoor Hyundai, [XXX] , March 19-20, 2026. Defect diagnosed, unable to repair. Attempt 2 — Oxmoor Hyundai, [XXX] , April 1-17, 2026. Front radar unit replaced. Defect remained. Attempt 3 — [XXX] Hyundai, [XXX] , April 23, 2026 to present. Suspected bad connector, part ordered. Vehicle still at dealership. Cumulative days out of service: 24 days and continuing for the same safety defect. I have formally demanded a buyback from Hyundai Motor America under Ohio Lemon Law ORC 1345.72. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I am filing a safety complaint regarding my 2026 Honda CR-V. The front-mounted sensor used for advanced driver-assistance systems (including lane keeping assist and automatic emergency braking) is positioned in a way that makes it easily accessible and vulnerable to theft. My vehicle’s sensor was stolen, which immediately disabled critical safety features such as collision mitigation braking and
... lane assistance. While the vehicle may still be drivable, the loss of these systems significantly reduces safety and increases the risk of an accident. This does not appear to be an isolated incident. Many other Honda CR-V owners across the country are reporting similar thefts of the same sensor. The issue has become so common that third-party manufacturers are now producing protective covers to prevent theft, indicating a widespread and known vulnerability. As a result of this incident: •My vehicle has been inoperable or unsafe to drive with full safety functionality. •The car has been in a repair shop for over a month due to the sensor being on backorder. •I am continuing to make payments on a vehicle that I cannot safely use as intended. I believe this represents a design defect that creates an unreasonable safety risk. A critical safety component should not be so easily removed by theft, especially when its absence disables key driver-assistance systems. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this issue and determine whether a recall or mandated design change is necessary to protect consumers. Thank you for your attention to this matter.Read more

Driver door actuator is failing. If you search this, it is a well known problem with the year and model of Toyota. It poses significant safety hazards to occupants and security of the vehicle. I am submitting this complaint on behalf of the vehicle owner. On March 31, 2025 (136,962 miles), the vehicle was brought to Fred Anderson Nissan of [XXX] for Voluntary Emission Recall PD128 (NTB24-061), which required a new Particulate Matter Sensor and ECM reprogramming. One day later, the Check Engine Light illuminated. On April 2, 2025 (137,083 miles), the dealer diagnosed code P2002-00 (DPF
... Efficiency Below Specs). Repair Order #XXX states: "The new sensor that is now monitoring DPF is able to see this and is setting the code as designed." The dealer's own documentation confirms the fault code was triggered by the recall — not a pre-existing failure. The vehicle had no warning lights before the recall was performed. Nissan Consumer Affairs (Case #XXX) declined goodwill assistance citing mileage, without addressing the documented causal link between the recall and the fault code. The owner now faces a DPF replacement costing several thousand dollars as a direct result of complying with a manufacturer recall. Safety concern: A DPF in confirmed fault condition can trigger unexpected limp mode, including at highway speeds. If other PD128 recipients are experiencing the same recall-induced fault and cannot absorb the repair cost, those vehicles may be operating in a compromised condition. We request NHTSA investigate whether Recall PD128 is creating safety and repair liability for consumers who complied in good faith. The vehicle is a 2019 Lincoln Navigator. The component that failed is the transmission. The vehicle experienced a sudden transmission failure resulting in loss of normal drivability. The issue is currently available for inspection at the repair facility upon request. This failure created a safety concern due to loss of power, hesitation, and unreliable shifting, which can increase the risk of col
... lision, particularly in traffic or during acceleration. The problem has been confirmed by the dealership and independent repair facilities. Multiple repair professionals indicated that this failure is consistent with a known issue addressed by a Ford Technical Service Bulletin (TSB), suggesting this is not an isolated incident. The vehicle has been inspected by the repair facility. The manufacturer has not directly inspected the vehicle to my knowledge. There were no significant prior warning indicators that would suggest imminent failure. Any symptoms prior to failure were minimal or not clearly indicative of a major transmission issue. Based on information from repair facilities, this appears to be a known defect pattern rather than normal wear or maintenance-related failure. The use of a TSB instead of a recall raises concerns that a broader safety-related defect may not be adequately addressed. This failure occurred after proper maintenance and outside any initial waiting period for warranty coverage. The issue appears systemic and warrants further investigation.Read more

Was removing a tractor from the trailer, while backing down the ramp, the welds on the ramp failed suddenly, causing the ramp to drop to the ground, while the tractor was still partly in the trailer. The impact caused the tractor windshield to shatter and cause minor injuries to the operator (cuts on exposed skin). Upon inspection, it was found that the welds for the ramp were inadequate in both
... quality and number. Most of the welds had insufficient penetration, and there was minimal stitch welds across the width of the frame. The weight of the tractor was approximately 2000lbs. There was no ramp load rating either posted on the trailer or in the literature provided. The salesman said it was around 2500lbs, and a call to the factory confirmed that. Standard engineering principles would expect to have a factor of safety of at least 1.5x rating to prevent failure at rated conditions. I am writing to formally report a serious safety issue with my brand-new Jeep Grand Cherokee (got it from DARCARS Rockville, MD dealership) and to request immediate resolution under warranty and applicable consumer protection laws. I purchased this vehicle with the expectation of reliability, safety, and comfort for my family. Unfortunately, within a very short period of ownership, the vehicle ha
... s experienced repeated and dangerous failures. On 17th April 2026, while traveling at approximately 65 mph on a highway in Pennsylvania around 1:00 AM, the vehicle suddenly shut down without warning. This created an extremely hazardous situation for my family. We contacted roadside assistance, but no help arrived until approximately 8:00 AM. Due to freezing temperatures and lack of heat in the vehicle, we were forced to call 911 for assistance and were transported to a nearby hotel around 3:30 AM. The vehicle was subsequently towed to a dealership, where diagnostics were performed. We were informed that the issue was related to a coding or malfunction and that it had been resolved. However, just two days later, while returning home, the exact same issue occurred again under similar conditions—vehicle shutdown at highway speed. Once again, we were stranded at night, forced to rely on emergency services, and did not reach home until approximately 4:30 AM. This pattern of failure is unacceptable and represents a severe safety defect. My family’s safety was put at significant risk on two separate occasions. As a result, we have completely lost confidence in the vehicle’s reliability and safety. Immediate escalation of this case and a full technical investigation A written explanation of the root cause of these failures A permanent resolution to ensure this issue cannot recur Consideration of a manufacturer buyback or replacement under applicable Lemon Law provisionsRead more

I own a 2019 Honda Odyssey Elite with 39,000 miles on it. In January 2026, suddenly I had multiple warning lights on in my minivan related to an ADAS system failure. I replaced the car battery and later determined that the ADAS camera had failed in the car. In reading online, this is a very common issue with Hondas as the cameras are known to overheat and require replacement. Warning lights:
... Brake System Malfunction, Adaptive Cruise Control Problem, Collision Mitigation System Problem, Lane Keeping Assist Problem, Road Departure Mitigation System Problem, Auto High Beam Problem Before I was able to get it repaired, the van turned off suddenly in traffic twice while my wife was driving the car while also one of my children was inside, creating an unsafe condition that could have created an accident. Luckily my wife was able to get the car safely moved out of traffic and we stopped driving the car at that point. I wound up replacing the camera and and needing to get it recalibrated so that the car could be drivable. This resulted in the van not being operable for nearly a month. For a car that had 39,000 miles on it, this really should be something under a longer warranty as it could have created an unsafe driving condition for my family. Total cost to repair = $1634.22.Read more
