I bought this car from elderly people. After I bought it and drove, there's lots of thing not according to safety standard? I asked them (seller) but they don't have any answer, due to their age. So, since last Tuesday, I am driving as it is. Hardly I put 250 miles so far. There's belt sign, Air bag sign, and Low tire air sign. All signs are showing in my dashboard and stays as long as car is on.
... So, I am scared to death to drive this car, car itself in a mint condition and it's got only 131K miles. Still there's is more life left on this car. I am also senior citizen and retired person. So, I need help to get these fixed asap please.Read more

When traveling at highway speeds the rear suspension is not capable of handling road imperfections. When a pot hole or other disturbance occurs, the rear end of the vehicle violently porpoises and swing back and forth. This is made even more obvious when taking a long sweeping curves at 55 plus. It causes the entire chassis to become very upset. I have never had a car do this.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The Engine Control Module (ECM) is malfunctioning, triggering persistent P0101 codes related to the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. This specific issue is addressed in Nissan Technical Service Bulletin DE97AA, which recommends an ECM reprogramming. The component is still installed in the vehicle and is a
... vailable for inspection. ⸻ • How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? When the vehicle is at a complete stop and I attempt to accelerate, it becomes jumpy and unresponsive, refusing to accelerate properly. This creates a serious safety hazard, especially when trying to merge into traffic or cross intersections, as I am unable to match the speed of other vehicles. This increases the risk of being rear-ended or causing an accident due to unexpectedly slow acceleration. ⸻ • Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. An independent mechanic diagnosed the issue and confirmed the code P0101. After reviewing Nissan’s official TSB DE97AA, they advised me to go to a Nissan dealership to have the ECM reprogrammed as outlined in the bulletin. ⸻ • Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic, but not yet by the manufacturer. The dealership is aware of the issue but has refused to perform the repair without payment. ⸻ • Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes. The Check Engine Light is consistently triggered by code P0101, and the traction control warning light also comes on when the issue is active. The symptoms appeared recently and continue to recur even after the code is reset.Read more

My 2018 Nissan Titan has suffered two engine failures within two years, with fewer than 37,000 miles on the vehicle. Despite following all scheduled preventive maintenance, the engines failed catastrophically. One of these failures occurred with my family in the vehicle, placing their safety at serious risk. Details: The first engine failure happened at approximately [30,000], and the second at a
... round [37,000], both requiring full engine replacements. These were not minor issues — they were sudden, complete losses of engine power. The second failure was especially dangerous, occurring while driving with my family onboard. Despite clear signs of a major defect or systemic issue, Nissan has refused to take responsibility, treating these catastrophic events as if they are routine, isolated failures. I followed all required maintenance schedules, and the vehicle was well cared for. Nissan’s lack of accountability is unacceptable and deeply disappointing. Based on this experience and their failure to stand behind their product, I will not purchase another Nissan vehicle and cannot recommend the brand to others. I am submitting this report to urge the NHTSA to investigate this issue as a potential safety and manufacturing defect that could affect more owners and put more families at risk.Read more

Car is a Sonata Hybrid Limited equipped with a solar roof which charges the hybrid battery. I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding Recall 22V-760 (SC250) affecting my 2021 Kia Sorento. This recall was marked “complete” by Kia, even though no actual repair or remedy was performed on my vehicle. I am now facing a complete transmission failure and have been quoted $7,100 to repair a defect Kia already acknowledged and promised to fix. The reality is, the defect was always pre
... sent, it just hadn’t reached full failure yet. The recall being closed does not mean the issue was resolved, and this approach leaves thousands of Kia owners like myself unprotected. In May 2023, I brought my vehicle to Daphne Kia in Alabama for a radiator leak. During that visit, they noted the transmission recall was open but stated that no defect was found. As a result, they marked the recall as “complete” without conducting any meaningful repair or replacement. No transmission work was done, despite known problems reported nationwide. In May 2025, my Sorento began showing the exact symptoms described in the recall: surging RPMs, transmission hesitation, jerking, and drifting in and out of gear. At times, the vehicle would slow dramatically or jolt in the middle of traffic and lose drive! Extremely dangerous situation for me in traffic with complete loss of acceleration. I had to take time off to bring the vehicle to Step One Automotive Kia in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, on June 30, 2025 the soonest my schedule allowed. At that appt, I was told the transmission had failed and would cost over $7,000 to replace.I also am paying for a rental vehicle while my car is still with Kia for resolution as of now. Recall coverage did nothing to protect me when the defect eventually surfaced. Kia has publicly stated that:“If your vehicle is affected by a recall, Kia will repair the vehicle free.” They have a legal obligation under the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act to correct safety related defects. They are not meeting that. kia consumer relations contacted as well.Read more

It’s unacceptable for a custom built fully paid off vehicle (2023 JGC 4xe Summit) to become such a huge liability and poorly reflects on the Jeep/Stellantis brand. There has been no support from their case management team and no urgency/ timeline provided for when this issue will be resolved. When manufacturing defects result in making a vehicle un-driveable, the manufacturer should prioritize finding a solution and provide customers with a rental of equitable quality to ensure the Jeep brand experience is maintained. Most importantly, for a vehicle that is only 2 years old, it is concerning from a safety perspective that it has had so many issues with the hybrid system for which the manufacturer has no solutions available.Read more

Once I received it and installed it, the overall clearance for the hitch was only 6" above the ground. I emailed them to ask if this was considered safe usage of their product. They wouldn't answer until I literally asked them three separate times, as if they were avoiding answering the question to try to get me to keep the product. After I made it very clear that I needed them to directly answer my question in the third email, they said that they could not tell me if that clearance was safe or not. After these three emails, I was starting to get scammy vibes...so I did some online research myself. Everything is very clear online...you should have 11-13" of clearance to tow a trailer safely. Why wouldn't a hitch manufacturer, who obviously should know this, not tell me that? The only answer I can come up with is that they'd rather prevent the return of their product than ensure the safety of one of their customers.Read more

It has a major water leak—flooding the interior through the lights, vents, and floor—yet Nissan won’t cover it under warranty and State Farm denied my comprehensive claim. The vehicle has sat exposed for 3 weeks at the body shop during constant rain, worsening the damage. The car is now unsafe to drive. Nissan fail

Additionally, regardless of any debris build-up, the size of the water lines are inadequate to hold large volumes of water at a given time. The amount of rain that has occurred in Alabama over the past 3 months super exceeds the capacity of these drainage tubes, leading to interior flooding that is detrimental to the integrity of the safety features in this vehicle. My lights, electrical panel, air bags, and electrical ports have all been impacted by this intrusion and now I'm left with a useless, unsafe, and unpredictable vehicle that has a total of 32,000 miles. This is fraud and deceptive behavior that should be made public. I believe others need to know this could happen. I’d appreciate your help.Read more

Fuel Lines and Connections / Fuel Tank Band / Fuel Tank Vapor Vent System Hoses [XXX]: My check engine light illuminated. I immediately returned to Hyundai Riverdale. They advised me it could be the fuel tank and stated they needed to keep the car for 5-7 business days. ... a text message (no phone call) indicating the inspection was complete and was presented with a $3500 bill to replace the entire fuel tank. May 9 or 12, 2025: Marilyn from Hyundai Riverdale called me regarding my vehicle. She explicitly suggested I "contact your insurance company, advise them you hit something on the road, pay the deductible, and they will pay for the repairs." She then stated, "I know you hit something after April 9th because your fuel tank is now damaged." I denied hitting anything. During this call, she mentioned a "RECALL" related to fuel tanks on all Hyundai Sonatas, which I was never previously made aware of. I questioned why I was being charged if there was a recall for the exact issue I was experiencing. She claimed my car was previously checked and the fuel tank was fine, therefore the cost fell to me. May 14, 2025: Merilyn called to inquire if my insurance would cover the repairs. I informed her I was picking up my vehicle as another Hyundai dealership in Newnan was willing to perform the recall repairs for free. Upon arrival at Riverdale, I faced resistance but demanded my car be released. I was then charged a $200 inspection fee, which I refused to pay. Marilyn then provided my keys and, upon learning I planned to drive to Newnan, stated, "I wouldn't feel right letting you drive this car off the lot and something happening to you. Your vehicle at any moment can blow up due to the fuel tank. It's very dangerous to drive and suggest you get a tow truck."
