... l and electrical issues. The vehicle has a history of repeated electrical and mechanical failures that affect both safety and basic function. One of the most serious problems is that the car randomly shuts off while driving, including in traffic and at intersections. This happens without warning and creates a serious risk of being hit from behind or losing control of the vehicle. In addition, the car frequently fails to start. It will often require a jump-start just to turn on, but even then, service technicians have told me the battery is not the issue, and in some cases, it doesn’t respond to a jump at all. The problem remains undiagnosed, with technicians saying they cannot pinpoint the cause. The issue appears to be electrical or ignition-related, but no definitive fix has been found. There have also been ongoing problems with the transmission jerking, hesitation during acceleration, and various warning lights coming on, including the battery, check engine, and transmission indicators. These issues began shortly after purchase and have occurred consistently over time. The vehicle has been brought to the dealership numerous times, where they have attempted repairs, but the problems continue. It is not safe to drive and continues to present a major safety hazard due to unexpected shutdowns and unreliable starting. Dealer was unwilling to do anything to help me since car is out of 60,000 mile warranty, and no TSB's or recalls are for my particular year 2020. There is a TSB for 2021 UA80E transmissions. My vehicle was serviced 05/03/24, after the 60,000 whatever service, The Sewell dealership of N. Austin, literally has a video of them pointing out where there was an oil leak, they needed to fix, so of course, I agreed to them fixing the leak. Fast forward to [XXX], during which, I was driving, had no indication of any issues, then saw white/gray/smoke, pulled over, & then my car wouldn't start.

The following conversation was exchanged from myself & someone named Ben, from the Sewell dealership in North Austin: [From Ben: I am not as familiar from the surface, but everything was explained in the video from the technician. The failed component is the bearing of the turbocharger which caused a major oil leak. This oil leak was the smoke you were seeing from the exhaust. We know for sure that the turbocharger will need to be replaced. The engine has a high likelihood of needing replacement as it was oil starved due to the major oil leak from the turbocharger. There is metal in the oil from inside the engine indicating internal failure from not having enough oil. From Me: which makes no sense, having just had all these things checked, back in May, with no indication of any leaks of anything other than what was shown.] ANDDD, which was supposedly fixed. I have the video footage of the technician doing a walk through in May of 2024, pointing out an oil leak, which I paid to have fix, but was later told I had no oil in my engine in July of 2024, without any warning.The car has not been drivable since, because I was quoted over 50,000 for the Turbo & Engine Replacement. I had 3 surgeries since December [XXX], which is why it's taken forever for me to do anything. However, I am STILL making payments on this vehicle. I am a therapist (Psychotherapist) with critical clients, & this is problematic. This is NOT the 1st or 2ND time I had an issue like this. This is actually the 3RD time, but the last time I dealt with this, the dealership had no recollection or documentation of a bad battery or battery issues; however, that IS what I was told the first time, but when I picked it up, I was told they just FIXED something, with the battery. The 2nd time, the doors locked up, the battery would not charge & I had it towed to the same dealership, that it was purchased from, from my home of Giddings, TX to College Station, TX, & I was told, I needed a whole new Battery replacement. The car was purchased brand new with approximately 11 miles in October/November of 2024, & it currently has between 7000-8000 (I do not remember the total amount, but it has over 7,000, but less than 8,000). Fast forward to roadside giving me a hard time for having to bring a device to charge the battery to open it, leaving, & cutting my wrist, while grabbing things out of the vehicle, between the seat & center console, as my hand got stuck, & I forgot the seat could not move without any electric charge (there is a JAGGED edge in between that it's dangerous for ANYONE, & it's hidden by a cloth flap). I also had to pay for a rental vehicle despite having this service, when the dealership opened, for 2 days). The front fuel tank strap fell off and tank is now hanging. When looking at strap, I noticed the frame mount that holds strap was corroded/rusted and had snapped, causing strap to let go. This was a recall back in 2009-2012 on this same vehicle. This should be looked at ASAP and recalled. This is a safety issue. Thankfully I found this before tank dropped out while driving.

I coasted to shoulder of road, took video of error messages, turned car off and restarted car which cleared messages and car regained normal operation. I was glad this happened in-town and not when merging on a highway. This is not the first time the car has issued sudden warning messages stating certain systems had failed only to be cleared by restarting the car. I have taken the car to the dealer before to have them research the issue but they say errors cannot be replicated. However, this was the first time Engine control message posted and was the first time the car lost power and put me in danger of not being able to control the car's speed in traffic. I have lost faith in the car's control systems. I can live with lack of cruise control or lane keeping, but I cannot tolerate sudden lack of power than can cause an accident. For 6 months, after a routine visit and safety recall preformed by ford, I have had an issue with the park brake engaging on its own. When pressing the button to disengage it, the car would not disengage and would remain locked. The only way to disengage it would be to throw the car into reverse, press the button to disengage the park brake and step on the gas pedal as fast as you could. After 6 m
... onths of trying to diagnose the issue, ford pittsville came up inconclusive, replacing multiple parts of the e-brake such as the buttons themselves, the wires connecting the brakes, and checking over the brakes. The issue itself was unrecreatable but the only common denominator was remote starting the car via the app. The most recent investigation this past month conducted by ford revealed that the pin for my brake and e brake was loose after they (ford) had replaced it. They fixed the connection and delivered my car to me. I hadnt even driven the car yet, only remote started it due to the heat. When the car was started, it immediately popped up with a new issue. The powertrain had failed, with codes popping up via fords system indicating the: park brake, brake system, gear shift, and 5 other codes that i cannot recall at the moment showing on their system. Ford diagnosed the problem, finding the gear shift itself was not engaging due to a loose pin (code: P0929:77). I was told that the car was safe to drive but there has been zero communication on when the part would be ordered or taken care of. I have tried to follow up multiple times with the dealership in the past two weeks and update them about the cars current state, including now with the error still showing, my steering feels loose and my car feels as if it is drifting while i drive.Read more

Rear Crash warning comes on when stopped at light , or when car is put in reverse and nothings there . also wiper refill warning. stays on even when full. Has been reported to dealership more than once also hear clicking at speeds over 50 mph.

The rear view camera will display a black screen or the image will be reversed causing confusion and dangerous reversal actions. Also the camera will go black in the middle of parking or not display at all. The transmission will slip without warning and the vehicle will have have to be shut down and restarted in order to drive correctly.

Driving and all the sudden went from 20mph to not even 5mph was able to limp it to a mechanic who said the trans cvt was most likely the problem didnt know nissans has that issue of a fail safe.. thankfully wasn't on a busy road going 80. Have also hurd knocking under the hood a couple times before were couldn't get that figured out.

There is a recall for 2022-2025 Honda civics for gearbox repair/sticky steering issues and my year 2017 is NOT included. I’ve had this issue since I bought my car from Phillipsburg/Easton Honda on October 3, 2023. Transmission failure. It is available for inspection upon request. While driving on major highways, I could have been at risk of a crash. I took the vehicle to Honda to confirm the transmission belt stretched. The insurance refused to inspect it. No warning lamps, messages, or other. I went over a railroad crossing and suddenly heard the transmission grinding gears.

Driving on the frwy when car started loosing power/acceleration, no warning lights or indicators on dashboard. Safely able to merge off the frwy. Turned off vehicle, engine would not turn back on. But all the dash lights came up as warning including engine light. Started to smell like burnt. Open the hood and it smelled like burning oil.
