The small buttons that are part of climate control on the dashboard pop out and fall off. The pieces aren’t supposed to do that. They are actually designed to work as buttons that stay in place but whatever mechanism that is designed to keep them is place comes off. I have tried just putting the buttons back in but they will eventually pop off again. My car is relatively new and should not have
... buttons popping off. No car of any age should have buttons just falling off. These are small buttons that pop off at any moment if there is a defect and I think could be a potential choking hazard for children and pets. If one falls off and I don’t notice and is just rolling around on the ground, it could be an issue with pets especially. My buttons fell off in the middle of the night and I had to search the vehicle for it. This is also the control system for the fan in the car. In extreme climate, if this falls off, there are no means for controlling the climate of the vehicle. Yes, the problem has been reviewed and confirmed by an Audi Dealership. The only solution seems to be to order a brand new dashboard and climate control system but it’s the same system and can’t guarantee that the buttons won’t pop off on the new ones. There are no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms prior to failure. The buttons will randomly pop off sometimes with no one in the vehicle or in the middle of just driving somewhere. They will just pop out. Several people are having this issue but Audi refuses to address the problem and instead forces everyone to by a brand new climate control system with the same faulty button system.Read more

There is a recall for the vehicle where the repair description states that if a PTU failure occurs it will be replaced by FCA US. The PTU damage has been confirmed by an independent service center and the dealership. The dealership currently has our vehicle and has stated that we can either drive it until it completely fails (which according to their recall letter states: "A loss of drive power
... can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. A loss of PARK function can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning and/or injury to others outside the vehicle.") or we pay $3500 to have it replaced. I have been told at this time a part is not available for the snap ring/seal issue but the recall states they will replace a damaged PTU. I have contacted Stellantis and they have told us they can reimburse us up to $50.00/day for a rental car until we are able to have the recalled part fixed. The PTU is not the recall but will be replaced if it is damaged. Telling us we could just drive it until it completely fails is completely unacceptable and showing no concern for the safety of their customers. The recall has been open for 6 months. At what point will they begin honoring the PTU replacements.Read more

I am reporting a serious and recurring safety defect with my 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid, purchased new in January 2024. The vehicle has suffered from over 30–40 sudden hybrid system failures, including loss of acceleration, “Stop Vehicle” warnings, and check engine lights. These incidents happen without warning, including while driving at legal speeds (40–70 mph), on residential streets
... and highways. Most recently, the car failed twice in two days, while my teenage son was driving within all road laws, including once with a friend in the car. The vehicle simply stopped accelerating in the middle of traffic, endangering them and everyone around them. These failures have happened at legal speeds ranging from 40–70 mph, on both residential roads and highways. There is no advance warning, just abrupt loss of power and sudden warning messages. We’ve taken the vehicle to the South Charlotte Hyundai dealership multiple times. Each time, they either reset the check engine light or replaced indicators: but never addressed the root hybrid system failure. We filed a lemon law case, and Hyundai responded with only a $2,000 offer including legal fees, requiring us to keep the dangerous vehicle. We rejected the offer. These failures have occurred with children and passengers in the car. We have documented as many incidents as we could, including photos, service records, and communication with Hyundai. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. I no longer feel safe driving or allowing my family to drive this car. This is a critical hybrid system failure that continues to place lives at risk. I believe this may be part of a wider pattern affecting Hyundai hybrid vehicles, and I am pleading with the NHTSA to open an investigation before someone is seriously injured or worse.Read more

These issues have persisted across multiple service visits to Ricart Hyundai in Groveport, Ohio. That dealership has replaced the crankshaft position sensor three times, the powertrain control module (PCM), and the battery, but the underlying problems remain unresolved. A technician at the dealership was able to reproduce the stalling event during a test drive. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership, where they diagnosed a master cylinder failure. The car is currently being repaired under warranty, but I no longer feel safe driving it. I suffer from anxiety and have been experiencing panic attacks and nightmares since the incident. I am deeply afraid of getting back into a car that nearly killed me. This is a brand-new vehicle and a brake failure of this magnitude should never happen — let alone within the first month of ownership. GM/Buick has offered to repair the car but not replace it, and I was informed I do not qualify for lemon law because this has only occurred once. That doesn’t change the fact that I experienced a catastrophic and life-threatening failure that could have resulted in serious injury or death. I am filing this report because I believe this is a manufacturing defect that poses a danger to others. A single failure of this kind is enough to destroy trust in the safety of a vehicle. If this happened to someone else, the outcome could be tragic. Please investigate this issue before someone loses their life.Read more
