Without readily available high beams my ability to see further distances at night was diminished. 2)The uninitiated change in language and units of measure made it more difficult to verify vehicle speed and other important settings with intervention to return the system to English. 3) Largest concern, auto locks not turning on, without notifying the driver, left my young children at risk of opening the back doors and falling out of the vehicle at high speeds. The dealership has tried to fix this twice, they have updated the software to current version and reset the system. They also reset the customer programmable features, which corrected the issue with the high beams, but the other issues with software remain, including the auto locks at speed, language change, units change and screen shutting off and on. I have also contacted Jeep customer service, they do not have a remedy in place and verified the software is up to date. After reviewing Jeep Wagoneer forums, this is effecting many owners of the Wagoneer after that fall 2024 update, and all the dealerships are scratching their heads. But without autolocks at speed, this is a big issue. No warning lights came on to let me know, and the bug seems to be in all software versions for the Wagoneer from Fall 2024 to current.Read more

Purchased above vehicle on 7/12/25. Was advised no towing for 1st 500 miles. At 712 miles, I hooked my fishing boat up to the truck to go fishing. Initially, truck did not recognize my boat trailer lights (marker and tail lights). My previous truck was a 2023 Ram 2500 rebel that never had an issue with connecting my boat trailer electrical system. All lights worked as should. I still have the
... same boat trailer as previous(2020 shore lander trailer with led lights). The new procedure for my 2025 Ram 2500 is to disconnect the 7 pin trailer electrical connector to the truck, stop the trucks engine, reconnect the 7pin to the truck outlet and maybe it will, maybe it will not work. There has been times I've had to stop and restarted the truck 8-10 times before the trailer is recognized. Once it is recognized, I have little or no faith in the trucks electrical system to safely tow my boat to go fishing. I also check all brake, hazard and turn signals are functional on the boat trailer while still in my driveway before entering onto a main highway, but I have no way of checking to see if the trailer taillights are properly functioning while traveling on any roadway or highway. This intermittent function can cause a serious hazard not only for myself, but for other motorists who do not see the trailer lights, turning signals or braking signals. On 8/4/25, my Ram truck went in for service at Diehl Ram Jeep Chrysler in Grove City, PA for analysis and repair for these trailer lighting connection issues. However, the manufacturer has made this safety-critical repair contingent on the owner first paying for several thousand dollars of unrelated maintenance items, creating a financial barrier that prevents the safety fix from being implemented. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms prior to the failure's discovery. This is a silent failure that provides no warning to the driver. My main issue that has caused major concern is while I was driving down the road.The steering all of a sudden jerked and I was almost in an accident. Then a couple months later the serpentine belt went out, replaced that, then of course it goes out again 6th months later. Replaced again!. In addition to that I have had several electrical issues, I think I replaced more tail lights, fog lights, and headlights on this vehicle than all my previous vehicles put together and I have owned many. The engine makes a funny sound every time I accelerate, I have yet to diagnose that one. The fuel door spring busted which results in my check engine light always on, the visor broke and won't stay up, had to replace that. I have been through 4 sets of tires since I purchased it. I only live a mile from work, I don't put a lot of miles on the vehicle. I have a disabled wife and I need reliable transportation. I have spent thousands of dollars to fix this car and the problems keep coming. I've almost spent more money on it than the car payment and insurance for 3 years. We have two VinFast VF8 vehicles, one with the VIN [XXX] (VF8 Black) and one with the VIN [XXX] (VF8 White). ... at, it is not possible to put the transmission back into drive or reverse, only neutral or park. VF8 Black experienced this problem first on [XXX]. We contacted VinFast and asked for the vehicle to be serviced under warranty. VinFast picked up the car on 3/17/2025 and took it to their service center in Irvine, CA. There is no VinFast service center in San Diego, CA, were we live. VinFast returned the vehicle on 3/25/2025. The repair report stated "Technician road test with the same conditions as the customer was unable to duplicate. Technician also verified the cause with the engineering team which have told me that the issue would be resolved in a future update. Vehicle drives as designed with no issues." Apparently the issue was known to the VinFast engineering team. Then on [XXX] VF8 White experienced the same problem. We contacted VinFast who picked up the vehicle on 6/3/2025. On 7/13/2025 I asked VinFast for an update as we had not heard anything. Finally, the responded saying that they are waiting for a part. On 7/27/2025 I received an that the repair was completed. The repair report states that a software update was done to fix the issue. I have not received the vehicle back. VinFast won't return the car to us. They now ask us to pick it up or have it delivered at our expense. We are concerned that the issue is still not resolved and that the vehicles are unsafe to drive, in particular on freeways where a sudden stop can create hazardous conditions with severe consequences. On multiple occasions I have had driver assistance system failures with the most recent occurring this past Saturday 8/2/25, which I have on dashcam. In this incident, I had adaptive cruise control set to short following distance. I had about 5 or 6 car lengths in front of me at highway speed and the lead car was far enough ahead that the car was not showing it on the interactive display. Another
... car changed lanes from the right to left in front of me right behind the lead vehicle. The car that changed lanes was not detected by the vehicle even though it was right in front of me. I was approaching the vehicle at a higher rate of speed and the car never attempted to slow eventually requiring me to depress the brake to cancel the cruise as the car was not responding to the fact that I was now right behind the car and had to brake to avoid a collision. On a separate incident a month or so ago, I was entering a center turn lane, waiting to turn into a gas station which required crossing of 2 lanes of traffic in the opposite direction. As I was entering the center lane with my signal on, the car detected the opposing traffic and slammed on the breaks nearly causing me to get rear-ended by the traffic behind me that expected me to enter the turn lane at the rate of speed I was going. Routinely, the car fails to detect vehicles in the blind spot. I can approach, pass, and clear a vehicle on the left (vehicle to my right) and the car will never detect that a car was there in the first place. Additionally, if a car is detected and then stays in the blind spot long enough, the car loses it and thinks the car is no longer in the blind spot.Read more

... iagnosed for my vehicle is a known failure issue for 1.5L Ford EcoBoost engines documented in Customer Satisfaction Program 21N12, which covers coolant intrusion and engine damage in this engine type. Despite the Ford dealership diagnosis of my vehicle matching what is described in Customer Satisfaction Program 21N12, I was informed that my vehicle is not eligible. The Coolant intrusion into cylinder 2 is an issue that poses a safety risk due to engine misfires, stalling, overheating, and possible sudden loss of engine power while driving. In my case, my vehicle has become unreliable and unsafe for regular driving. A Ford dealership inspected the vehicle, confirmed and documented the issue, and the repair quote, diagnostic report and diagnostic payment receipt are available upon request. Ford has declined assistance despite the vehicle’s low mileage and clear alignment with known engine defects. I mailed a formal appeal letter to Ford Motor Company and I am filing a complaint with my state attorney general. This widespread issue affects customer safety, and vehicle safety standards and deserves further investigation, as many other Ford owners of vehicles with 1.5L EcoBoost engines have reported similar failures.Read more
