During a severe accident in which the cars collided from both the back and front at most likely over 50mph, the air bags did not deploy. In such a case, I feel as though they should have gone off as there was severe whiplash and the cars hit at such a fast and hard speed. My safety was impacted severely as if the cars around did not hit the way they did, I believe I could have died. It is extremel
... y concerning that they did not go off when such large amounts of damage were done. In addition, there have been over 50,000 recalls done for air bags not working in this exact vehicle. In addition, the vehicle is being checked in the next day for additional damages and they will confirm the air bag issues. Police as well as insurance providers were shocked that the air bags did not deploy in such a severe case. No warning messages or lamps were on when the accident occurred or before. This is extremely concerning and I now fear for my safety even further if I were to purchase this vehicle again. It is a terrifying thought that I could have died due to a car malfunction.Read more

At highway speed, in heavy traffic, and falling snow, the engine seized with sudden loss of power, including loss of brake and steering sensitivity. We were traveling downhill so, while avoiding other traffic and weather, maintained momentum to pull over to the side. We were stranded at night in snowy weather in remote Utah. It took hours to get towed to the nearest town, Fillmore, where the mecha

GM would not tow vehicle to our home, they would only tow to nearest dealership - which was farther away from our home (over 3 hours away). After repeated attempts with GM for tow assistance over the course of 13 days, we towed the vehicle to Salt Lake City, our home city at our own expense. 2009 chevy malibu i lost of Electric Power Steering it happened to me twice both when i was driving one was in the freeway the bad thing my car or vin wasn't included in the recall the dealer said its not included in the affected cars unfortunately it deed my vehicle has 40k miles on the odometer although its a 2009 its very clean. I brought it at firestone auto they said after diagnosing it that
... they can't fix it because it had a recall so i bring it to were we bought it at Guaranty Chevy in Santa Ana i paid $240. to have it diagnose and they said it was wiring issue so i went home after a day drove the car the next day the STEERING went out again and i was driving it again i was on the freeway this could cause an accident. So when i brought it back to the dealer they fix it for a whopping $1144.87 plus the initial $240 to diagnose says on my receipt the sensor that was actually on their recall again my Vin wasn't included in the affected cars obviously it did. I ask the dealer if they could contact the manufacturer to at least give me a discount or at least cover the expense because this shouldn't happen but to no avail. Hope you could help me recover what i paid this should been recalled by the manufacturer again my car wasn't included for repairs i have all receipts and documentation and pictures of my car hope you guys help me! It could have been worst what if i hit someone on the freeway and i can't steer. They know the vehicles was affected but they didn't want to fix the problem instead i paid out of pocket.Read more

This happened before two times and this would be the third time. I have taken the vehicle to several different auto repair shops and they have been unable to pin point and fix the problem. The Kia EV9 Wind I bought several days ago worked fine for a couple of days with a slight vibration, but yesterday I experienced 3 incidents. 1. As I was coming to a full stop at a stop sign, there was a mild grinding noise from the rear of the vehicle. 2. I continued for 100 yards and came to a stop light and the car made a louder grinding sound of gears grinding as I was coming to a full brakin
... g stop. 3. I continued for about 1/2 mile. As I was coming to a stop at a stop light, there was a very loud grinding sound from the back of the car, like gears were being stripped, and the vehicle came to a full stop. At that point I was in the middle lane of a busy 3 lane road. I jumped out to inspect and saw nothing. I continued through the intersection and immediately pulled into a parking lot. I got out to inspect and there was a very strong burning smell coming from the driver side rear wheel well. I did not smell it on the passenger side rear wheel well. I had it towed to the nearby Kia dealership, and left it. This morning the dealership reported the initial diagnosis showed that the emergency brakes were activated while I was driving and they would report back later today on further diagnosis. They said the brake pads and rotors may need to be replaced and they would need to determine why the emergency brakes activated while I was driving. When I told them I was equally concerned about the grinding sound and the possibility of stripped gears, they replied that Kia Corporate does not pay them to explore potential problems that are not visible or obvious. My main concern is that there may be stripped gears to be replaced in addition to a software or other fix to prevent the emergency brakes from activating while driving. They also reported to me that there were 2 notifications with updates that had not been performed. One was for a software update for the rear powertrain and the other was for a sunroof issue and they would perform both.Read more

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? - Initially, the vehicle began making loud 'clanking' sounds from the engine, which immediately affected the ability to drive the vehicle. Upon further inspection by a third-party mechanic, it was determined that the Crank Shaft had malfunctioned. This is a known recall for our vehicle type (model,
... year, engine), however, no recall notice has been received at this time. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? - The vehicle was slowing abruptly while in drive mode, potentially causing a vehicular accident. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? - Yes, we did not deliver the vehicle to a dealer, as no assistance was initially offered when we made an attempt to call and inquire. However, a third-party mechanic was able to determine the issue. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? - Not at this time, as the dealer we initially inquired with did not seem inclined to assist. We consulted with a third party. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? -No. Failure messages or icons came on after the engine failure beganRead more

While driving my 2014 Nissan 370Z with only around 43,000 miles, the car suddenly made a loud bang in the rear area and then would not shift normally in automatic mode while I was on the highway with my child in the car. When I inspected the underside afterward, there were no fluids leaking and I had not hit anything that could have caused the noise or malfunction of the output sensor. Shortly aft
... er, the vehicle went into limp mode and would not shift past 2nd or possibly 3rd gear. Manual mode also stopped working. This limited the car to around 25 mph, creating a dangerous situation in traffic since it could not accelerate normally. The check engine light came on, and a scan revealed a P0720 Speed Sensor Circuit failure. The dealer advised replacing the valve body assembly at a cost of nearly $5,000. A transmission electronics failure of this kind at such low mileage is not normal wear and tear. Research shows that other Nissan and Infiniti owners with the same 7-speed automatic transmission have experienced the same problem. This appears to be a recurring defect that presents a serious safety risk when the vehicle suddenly loses acceleration ability.Read more

... not limited to, the speedometer, rear view camera, blind spot cameras, driving mode, driving gear, navigation, warning messages, lane following assist, tire pressure monitoring system, driver attention warnings, etc. (the “Hazardous Condition”). After multiple calls and emails with the service manager at Len Stoler Hyundai (Owings Mills, Maryland), I took my car to their dealership on November 5, 2024, December 30, 2024, and May 28, 2025, to have Hazardous Condition corrected. Although Len Stoler Hyundai was able to slightly improve the Hazardous Condition such that it was more intermittent – going dark for minutes or hours at a time instead of days at a time - the problem was never satisfactorily resolved. Recently, the Hazardous Condition became less intermittent, and all screens went permanently dark. Since Len Stoler Hyundai closed their doors, I reached out to Heritage Hyundai Owings Mills to address the Hazardous Condition. After a detailed call with a service advisor, I dropped off the Vehicle to them on August 15, 2025, and as of the date of this letter, thirteen (13) days have passed without them resolving the Hazardous Condition, or even returning my repeated telephone calls. The backup camera fails to load. A black screen with the error message "Camera is temporarily unavailable" displays. This error occurs regularly. Turning the camera off and on again, will sometimes rectify the issue, but not always. This error can/has occurred at anypoint While my car was in reverse gear. Most frequently the error occurs from the very beginning of trying to use it. However it has
... failed while I was in motion trying to use it. This report is being filed because of that latter type of failure. There was a recall notice for this exact issue. Polestar issued a software update (v3.6.4) to fix this issue. However, in my experience, the error has occurred more frequently after the software update.Read more

On our 2019 Honda Odyssey the passenger sliding door is failing to latch closed and stay closed or locked. The door is popped out in the back because the latch mechanism will not engage and electronically lock as part of the normal closing sequence like the other door. From what I can tell, this is the same issue reported in Service Bulletin 18-128, however when I called Honda about it, they sai
... d my VIN was not included in that recall. I am concerned because it seems like the same problem and it creates an unsafe situation where the door is not fully latching, even when manually closing the door and trying to lock it. I can hear excessive noise from that side of the vehicle, and the warning message flashed saying there is an issue with the Right Side Sliding door, and the dome lights come on with an audible warning tone. I am unable to put passengers in the back of the van and needed to be very careful when driving it to the dealership for diagnosis yesterday. I'm still waiting to hear from them. I think this issue should be covered under recall work, since it seem like it is the same issue described in the service bulletin 18-128.Read more

I own a 2016 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel (VIN: [XXX] ). This vehicle is covered under the EcoDiesel Approved Emissions Modification (AEM) Settlement extended warranty. Since the update in January 2025, the truck has suffered repeated EGR system failures and related warranty failures. The EcoDiesel lawsuit itself was based on EGR cooler defects that could leak coolant and cause fires. My truck has experienc
... ed the same failure pattern, with coolant leaks, overheating, and unsafe breakdowns. On [XXX], the vehicle shut off in the middle of the road while I was driving, creating a serious hazard. The cause was traced to a covered emissions component. This was not an isolated incident. The vehicle has been in dealerships for over 60 cumulative days since January 2025, mostly for repeated EGR codes and fuel system issues, but the root problem has never been properly repaired. On [XXX], the low-pressure fuel pump failed after it had already been replaced. The premature failure left me stranded and required a $500 tow. This failure also presented a risk of sudden power loss in traffic. Despite repeated visits to authorized dealers, repairs are incomplete or improperly billed, including installation of non-OEM parts that failed again. The repeated stalling, coolant leaks, overheating, and sudden no-start conditions show that this truck remains unsafe to operate on public roads. I am reporting this as a safety defect because the emissions system failures and improper repairs have caused the vehicle to shut off while driving and continue to present a risk of fire, engine damage, and sudden loss of power.
