The component that failed was the engine of my Kia vehicle. The vehicle was purchased in 2020. In Q4 2022, I received a recall notice by mail regarding the engine. I immediately took the vehicle to Kia of McKinney, TX, and requested that the recall repair be performed. I was informed at that time that the engine could not be replaced until it actually failed. ... efective vehicle for several years. The engine ultimately failed in the second week of June 2025, when the car would not start. It was towed to Southwest Kia in Texas, where it remains available for inspection. My safety and the safety of others were put at risk because I was instructed to continue driving a vehicle with a known defective engine. Kia’s refusal to remedy the recall in advance increased the risk of sudden stalling, engine seizure, or loss of power while driving — all of which pose serious hazards on the roadway. The problem has been confirmed by Kia’s own service centers. Southwest Kia acknowledged the engine failure but denied coverage, citing a supposed “gap” in maintenance records. However, Kia never informed me that there were specific maintenance requirements tied to recall eligibility, and I was never given a clear diagnosis of if the failure aligned with that of the recall. Kia corporate has denied responsibility for replacing the engine despite the active recall. There were no warning lamps or messages prior to the engine failure. The car simply failed to start in June 2025. At no earlier point was I warned that the vehicle was unsafe to drive, nor was I given any proactive remedy other than waiting for failure. I am requesting that Kia be compelled to honor the recall and replace the engine, as their refusal has left me with a significant financial loss and ongoing safety concerns.Read more

I came back the next day asking them to take a look at while informing them about the recall that could be related. My car was in their possession for from 5.12.25 to 7.25.25 without any updates or instructions on what is happening. I was told they’re waiting to hear back from Hyundai Manufacturer on how to proceed. They returned my car to me on 7.25.25 stating everything was repaired. On 7.31.25 they called me back stating my tank needs to be replaced and bring the car back asap. My car was again being repaired and was returned to me on 8.25.25. The camera began to fail within the first year of ownership but it would start to work shortly after. Upon starting my 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan, the vehicle immediately went into "limp" mode and the check engine light and EPC light came on. The vehicle would not drive over 18 mph. ... aced and the vehicle was taken for a 15 mile test drive. During the drive, the same problem occurred. After the drive, 34 codes were found in VWs report. I have also attached the report to this complaint. The technicians at the VW dealership didn't understand the problem, so they opened up communication with Volkswagen in Germany. The Volkswagen engineer advised the dealership to replace the wire harness. After the wire harness was replaced, the car has no more issue (although it has only been 5 days since), which cost $2314.54 in total. There is a class action lawsuit in the state of New Jersey (Case [XXX]) against Volkswagen Group of America that states "VW is aware of concerns involving faulty wire harnesses"... affecting 2019-2022 Volkswagen Atlas, Golf, Jetta, TIGUAN, and Taos. Thank God that this happened to my vehicle with the car was at rest and not traveling at a high rate of speed that could have been fatal. So far I went to Herb Gordon Auto World in Silver Spring At least three times for the eyesight system that keeps malfunctioning and they said each time there's no codes and no sensor or system error light codes on. I called and talked to Subaru customer service three times and on the fourth time I was told to go to another Subaru dealer and have it looked at as a second opinion on the 16th of aug

I went to Fitzgerald Auto Mall after I talked to the service advisor Matt and found out that it had a code in it in the history PO1894 which Herb Gordon Auto World either didn't figure out how to find or was too incompetent to find it. According to Matt at Fitzgerald the code is a communication error from the transmission which is not a good thing to have on a brand new car. I guess Mark was the specialist and kelly is his assistant. I also talked to Erica on the 21st of August. Erica said the floater Dawn was going to call me after she talks to Fitzgerald Subaru about the code. I talked to Kelly on the 21st. and than Mark the same day. When I talk to Matt who is supposed to be the head of this case #[XXX] he told me this places you win said they can't advise a fix so we're just going to wait until you have any more problems with it and then we could fix it then maybe so I said can you not find the source of the transmission communication problem he said well we would have to find a fix to it and we can't right now certificate can't fix it or find out the source where it's coming from we have nothing to do now with it unless you have more problems and I said if I'm on the Beltway and the communication fails again will everything go off and then the car will stop now having an accident and possibly be killed So to that he stated well that's what insurance is for. Bike rack fell off of car on northbound interstate 294 less than 1/2 mile from the 127th street exit. I believe I set it up correctly. Pin was in and the knob was tightened. No accidents as traffic narrowly avoided the unit and bikes. IDOT showed up quickly to remove. I believe the safety pin is inadequate to hold the unit on. Pictures attached.

While driving on the freeway with my children, the vehicle started to shake and the emission system problem, transmission system problem and blind spot problem lights came on. The safety of myself and children were at risk due to being on the freeway and having to pull over on the side of the road. There were zero signs leading to this.
